In the crevices of the Three Realms, Sun Wukong shuttled through the chaos.
His eyes flickered with radiance, as if a book was emerging within them.
Countless paths evolved before his eyes, resembling glowing corridors that vanished in the void, leaving behind a clear signpost at last.
"Over there."
Sun Wukong turned into a ray of light and left to the right.
"How is that possible!"
The Buddha, who was chasing after him, was shocked.
The Land of Chaos was boundless, with neither sky nor earth, only one exit; even he could not find it, how could Sun Wukong possibly find it.
"Stop for me!"
The Buddha stretched out his hand to strike at Sun Wukong, the chaos within dozens or hundreds of miles ahead was obliterated.
But Sun Wukong didn't even look back and flew in one direction.
The Wordless Heavenly Scripture resonated within his Divine Soul.
"This is a good place."
Sun Wukong thought to himself; the Wordless Heavenly Scripture was not so active when outside.
It moved freely in the crevices of the Three Realms as if its original power was to guide the way.
"Should I stay a bit longer?"
Sun Wukong pondered, considering the situation outside had stabilized and he could seriously study the Wordless Heavenly Scripture.
However, just as this thought arose, an inexplicable unease suddenly erupted.
"What could it be?"
A flash of light glinted in Sun Wukong's eyes, and he saw the scene of black flames burning on Ao Luan's body.
"Ao Luan!"
Sun Wukong's heart trembled, and he was immediately caught up by the Buddha.
"Sun Wukong, do not depart."
The Buddha released endless Buddha Light, the power of Heavenly Dao vast, imprisoning all space.
"This matter is over here, I must go."
Sun Wukong spoke: "The Three Realms are in trouble."
The Buddha calculated briefly.
"All beings suffer, this is but a minor suffering."
The Buddha replied.
The Jade Emperor's actions were beyond his expectations, but are not necessarily another method.
Since he could not stop Sun Wukong, then destroy the Wanling Heavenly Dao.
"What the Great Venerable does, is the righteous path."
The Buddha said.
"You really are... obstinate!"
Sun Wukong's anger surged, his aura exploding behind him like a War God.
The Buddha wore a solemn expression, channeling Mana, an undying Dao lotus bloomed beneath his feet.
"Boom—"
In Lingshan, something else struck the lotus throne.
"Cough, cough..."
Lingji Bodhisattva climbed up from the ground, his body seemingly about to shatter.
"Why are there more and more enemies?"
He looked towards the sky, where Immortals appeared out of nowhere.
Emperor Gouchen and Emperor Qinghua were troublesome enough, now with these Immortals added, the battle became even harder.
"Can I take a rest?"
Lingji Bodhisattva thought, noticing several Arhats lying nearby in uncertain life or death conditions, his eyes lit up.
"Great, these fellows are playing dead!"
He walked over to the Arhats and kicked them a few times: "Hey, get up."
The Arhats did not move, seemingly really dead.
"Are they really dead?"
Lingji Bodhisattva checked their breathing; it was faint but present.
Apart from giant marks from a staff on each person's back, their injuries were not severe.
"Hmph, think I can't play dead too?"
Lingji Bodhisattva smeared some blood on his face and lay down pretending to be dead.
Something hard tapped on his shoulder.
"Stop it, buddy, if we're pretending, let's do it together!"
Lingji Bodhisattva said.
The hard object paused, then tapped again.
"I said stop it..."
Lingji Bodhisattva opened his eyes and suddenly froze.
There was no buddy in sight, only a familiar staff.
Jingu Bang circled around Lingji Bodhisattva a few times; it hadn't even attacked yet, and this fellow had already fallen down?
"Gurgle."
Lingji Bodhisattva swallowed, understanding why those Arhats had staff marks.
The Jingu Bang, half-visible, hovered above the ground, its body shimmering with golden light and trembling slightly.
"Eh, not the real body?"
Lingji Bodhisattva realized something was amiss; this was not Jingu Bang's real body, but a clone.
"Humph, just a weapon, what can you do to me?"
Lingji Bodhisattva stood up.
The Jingu Bang thundered towards him, but he grasped it in one hand.
He was not like those Arhats who could be taken down by a clone of Jingu Bang.
"Let's see where your real body is."
Lingji Bodhisattva controlled the clone and started using his Mana to search.
Soon, he saw Jingu Bang deeply embedded in the ground nearby.
"It's gotten so small."
Lingji Bodhisattva examined the Jingu Bang; compared to the previous column of light that was larger than a mountain, it was now only nine feet long.
"Could it be stuck too deep to come out?"
Lingji Bodhisattva curiously pulled at the Jingu Bang.
"Don't touch it!"
From the sky, the World Venerable saw Lingji Bodhisattva's actions and urgently shouted: "I just sealed it!"
"Oops!"
Lingji Bodhisattva tripped accidentally, the Array under his feet smeared off.
With a "boom", the Jingu Bang transformed into a stream of light, shooting out towards the lotus throne, creating a small pit.
"Lingji!"
The World Venerable descended from the sky: "You..."
Lingji Bodhisattva hastily stood up: "I'll seal it again immediately!"
"That might be a bit difficult now."
The World Venerable glanced at the Jingu Bang.
Jingu Bang darted away like lightning, vanishing in a blink of an eye.
But it hadn't disappeared; it was only moving so fast that it vanished from sight.
"Boom, boom, boom—"
The intensifying impact noises arose from the lotus throne.
To save its master, the Jingu Bang tirelessly battered the lotus throne.
