Awakening the Useless Class… But My Talents Are Broken?!

Chapter 33: Mount V

Mike scrolled down as the list of changes kept getting longer and longer.

The wolf sat beside him, tall as a truck now, flames quietly flickering around its mane. It didn't move—almost like it was waiting for his reaction.

Mike swallowed.

"…Okay. Let's see what you've got now."

Evolved Skills (from Legendary → Mythical)

Etherfang Monarch → Mythic Monarch Flame (Passive)

• Mana increased by 200% instead of 100%.

• All of the wolf's attacks now use Mythic Cerulean Fire, which deals burn + true damage.

• Its attacks ignore 20% of the enemy's defense.

Mike whistled.

"That's… ridiculous."

Cerulean Pounce → Starflare Pounce

• A high-speed leap wrapped in white-blue flames.

• Landing causes a mini explosion that knocks enemies back.

• Shockwave range is twice as big.

Mike nodded slowly.

"Yeah, that'll break some bones."

Blade Fangs → Mythic Blade Fangs

• Fires five blades instead of three.

• Each blade can pierce through shields and explode afterward.

"…hmm their lethality have increased along with numbers," Mike muttered.

Sovereign Howl (Active)

• Stuns enemies briefly.

• Lowers their attack and mana power by 40%.

• Boosts Mike and allies by 20%.

Mike blinked.

"Damn. A howl that buffs me and nerfs everyone else? Nice."

Mythic Hunt (Active)

• Locks onto a target for 5 full seconds.

• The wolf's attacks automatically chase the enemy.

Mike scratched his chin.

"Kinda like auto-aim for a giant flaming wolf."

Monarch Nova (Ultimate)

• Compresses all mythic flames into one huge explosion.

• Clears everything in a 50-meter radius.

• 1-hour cooldown.

Mike stared at the description for a long moment.

"…Okay, that's basically a nuke."

He turned to look at the Wolf King—no, Wolf Emperor now.

The beast sat proudly, chest puffed out, flames glowing brighter with every second. It watched Mike with bright cerulean eyes, waiting for him to say something.

Mike finally exhaled.

"You… really turned into a monster, didn't you?"

The wolf let out a soft rumble, almost like a pleased purr.

Mike reached out and rubbed its head.

"Heh. Good job. You grew way more than I expected."

The wolf pressed its head against him again, the bond between them warmer and stronger than ever.

Mike closed the menu and stood up.

"Alright, Wolf Emperor… let's go test out your new strength."

The giant mythical wolf rose to its feet, flames swirling around it like a living cape.

But just as Mike sat atop him, a new notification rang out.

Mike frowned at the glowing text.

"Great… now how the hell am I supposed to find a Mythical-Class beast?" he muttered.

He sighed, rubbing his face. "Well… I'll deal with that when I get there. For now, let's see if there's any nearby town or city."

He patted the wolf's neck.

"Come on, Emperor."

He smiled faintly to himself—the name suited his mount perfectly—as he began guiding the colossal beast forward.

Mike guided Emperor through the forest until the trees thinned out. A moment later, they reached the edge of a high cliff.

From there, the world opened up.

Below, in the distance, Mike could see a small settlement—simple wooden houses, fenced farmland, and a crude wooden palisade surrounding it. Smoke rose from chimneys. People moved about like ants.

A village.

Civilisation at last.

"Finally… civilization," Mike muttered with relief.

He gave Emperor a light tap.

"Alright, big guy. Down we go."

The Mythical Wolf Emperor crouched, flames rippling across its legs. Then—effortlessly—it leapt off the Hundred-foot cliff.

THUD.

They landed without even a wobble.

As soon as the guards stationed by the village gates saw the massive flaming wolf charging toward them, panic exploded.

One guard dropped his spear.

"W–W–WHAT IS THAT!?"

"BEAST ATTACK! GET READY!"

"HOLD THE GATES!"

Alarms echoed across the wooden walls as bowmen scrambled into position, hands shaking as they aimed down at Mike and Emperor.

Mike blinked.

"…Well, that's a warm welcome."

Emperor growled—not aggressively, just naturally—making the entire palisade tremble as the guards froze in terror.

Mike jumped off Emperor and raised his hand reassuringly.

"Relax! I'm just a wandering Knight," he said.

The village guards looked at each other uneasily before one of them stepped forward.

"Then show us your Knight Card."

Mike scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"I… don't have one. I grew up in a forest with my master since birth. I met Emperor there too. I've only recently left to explore the world. So—sorry—but I don't have any identification, and I'm not affiliated with any kingdom or guild."

The chief guard narrowed his eyes, then turned to his men.

"Bring out the identification orb."

One guard ran off and returned carrying a large white orb—about the size of a human head.

"Hold it," he said, presenting it to Mike.

Mike blinked. "Uh… what is that?"

Seeing the white orb, the mental image of it inflating and popping flashed through his mind for no reason.

"It's an innocence orb," the chief guard explained. "If it glows green, you're clear. If it glows red—you're a sinner."

The guards tightened their grips on their weapons, watching him carefully.

"Fine," Mike said, taking the orb.

The moment he held it, the orb pulsed and turned a bright green.

The guards immediately exhaled in relief, lowering their weapons.

"Welcome to our village, wanderer," the chief guard said, gesturing for the others to stand down as they dispersed.

As the guards relaxed, the chief guard glanced nervously at Emperor.

"That wolf of yours… can he shrink? His size is scaring the villagers."

Mike looked at Emperor and gave a small gesture.

"Hey, buddy. Can you shrink down a bit?"

Emperor huffed once, then his body glowed.

In a moment, the giant Mythical Wolf shrank into a small puppy-sized version of himself and jumped onto Mike's shoulder, sitting there proudly like nothing happened.
