Chapter 3700: Where is the Rest?

In the image, there was a list of duties that Universe Owners had to take. One of them was related to the Great Void Shifter itself. It explained that it was the Universe Owner’s duty to keep the formation in proper condition for use at all times. However, the point that caught the twins’ group’s attention was the next part. The truth was that you didn’t just need each side of the Great Void Shifter to be activated at the same time to find the right path. To activate it, you had to contact the Werdlem Empire first and ask for permission.

Once that was done, the empire would connect to both formations, using the empire’s key to unlock them. Without that key, it wouldn’t matter if either Universe wanted to use the formation with or without permission. The Great Void Shifter simply wouldn’t activate at all.

-So you see, even if I tried to activate it and somehow convinced the other side to do the same, it would be meaningless since the Empire has to allow it first,- Rifindio explained. -The problem with that is that the Empire truly only allows the use of the Great Void Shifter for important members of the Empire or emergencies. As you can imagine, our Universe F956 pretty much never receives anyone important from the empire, so the formation is kept off all the time.-

Rifindio didn’t end it there, though. -However, I do have access to something that might be of use to you guys.-

Rifindio once again used his CD to pass a bunch of information to Rean and the others.

Rean took a look at the information, and his eyes lit up. "This! It’s a Great Void Chart!"

Just like Stellar Charts to travel inside a Universe, there were Great Void Charts for journeys outside the Universes.

-Yes, but that matters little. Instead, take a look at the bottom,- Rifindio pointed out.𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Everyone’s eyes went to the end of the chart, and there they found it. That chart was something almost no one could see, a chart of how the Great Void Shifters were connected through the Great Void. "Now, that’s what I’m talking about!"

What was one of the problems so far? Knowing where to go once inside the Abyssal Path.

-You can already enter the Abyssal Paths on your own, so you don’t really need me to activate the formation. Just use the Abyssal Path connected to the formation. I can arrange for you guys to visit the formation, and no one will bother you. But that is truly as far as I can go without raising any alarms.- Rifindio said that because he knew the problem would be on the other side.

The twins’ group obviously understood that. "We don’t know what we could find once we arrive. The exit to the other Abyssal Path, or Great Void Shifter, is bound to be as protected as our F956. Would we be able to move when we appear there?"

-That’s the problem indeed,- Rifindio nodded. -That reminds me. Back then, Rean managed to come out of a teleport before he reached the destination, didn’t he? Could the same be done with an Abyssal Path transfer?-

Rifindio was talking when Rean pretended to be an injured female Camazotz Bat that was teleported to the center of the Divine Realm in a hurry. He used his knowledge of formations and the system to intervene with the teleport destination, coming out of it just as the teleport was about to be completed. He could still do that if he needed.

"I did, and I can do that again, but that is something related to teleport formations and spatial powers. The Abyssal Paths are something completely different. My device won’t work for them. Besides, we are talking about a transfer between Universes. The distance is so ridiculously gigantic that any fractional error could actually end with us appearing in the middle of nowhere in the Great Void. We might even end up lost for millions of years. Besides, I only managed to create that device because I had plenty of experience and could test it as many times as I wanted with simpler versions. I don’t have that luxury with the Abyssal Paths. It is too risky."

-Then it is up to you guys. The most I can do is to prepare a Spaceship for you to use. However, our Universe’s Spaceships are pretty low quality, and just to go to the nearest Universe, F957, would take you at least 350 years. Of course, for cultivators, such a time didn’t mean much, and that’s why Spaceships are the most used means of transportation inside the Werdlem Empire. What do you think?-

The twins’ group went back to the Great Void Chart and checked how far Universe F974, the one where Kentucky’s Parents were supposed to be, was. It was thousands of times further away, so you were looking at tens of thousands of years of journey through the Great Void. "Is your Spaceship really that slow?"

-I was just as surprised when I heard about it,- Rifindio sighed. -The top Spaceships of rank B or higher universes could travel the same distance in just a few months, weeks for the very top tiers. The level of technology available for each Universe is truly diverse. F Rank Universes like ours are just scraping the bottom, not even worth mentioning.-

Everyone had helpless expressions. It would take tens of thousands of years to use a Spaceship to go to F974. Then... what about the so-called Rank D Universes that the system mentioned? Would they also take millions of years to get there? Such a concept was just too ethereal for everyone except Roan.

"That will take too long," even so, Roan didn’t want to wait all that. "If we are truly leaving this Universe, we will use the Abyssal Path and try to deal with whatever is on the other side. But before that," Roan then pointed at the Abyssal Paths Chart, "Where is the rest of the information?"
