Chapter 4214: Too Long

[Hum? Default?]

Default looked at Sister Orb, who wasn’t an orb anymore, obviously. "I was the one who created the self-evolving system. Finally, it got powerful enough to free me from my prison, but that also caused you to lose your place."

Default waved his hand, and something that looked like a Control Orb appeared. However, anyone who had seen a Universe Root Egg before would be able to tell it wasn’t the same thing. "Roan talked to me about your situation, and I have an offer for you. I can recreate the system, and you can lodge yourself inside."

He continued. "However, don’t expect it to be as good as the previous one. The old system is gone. Besides, I don’t have a real root egg. Nonetheless, I can connect you with the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm and make you the new system itself."

Sister Orb was taken aback. [Really?! So, what you are saying is that instead of the system doing whatever it wants, I will be the one in control of all its features.]

Default nodded. "Precisely."

[I’m in!]

Yet, Default gave her a warning. "Not so fast. Be aware that once I do it, there is no coming back. Different from before, where you simply lived in the control orb and used some of its functions, you will truly be the system itself. This change can’t be undone, and if the system is destroyed, so will you."

Rean took over from there. "You’d better think about it, Sister Orb. If you integrate back with Lisan, you will still have an entire universe to help you kill your boredom. I don’t see much of a point for you to stay in our Dimensional Realm as a system. You would be stuck with us forever without really needing to do that."

[I see... so it is irreversible... and I will have to start from scratch as a system. Last but not least, I will be forced to stay with you guys...]

Sister Orb didn’t take long to make her decision. [Alright, go ahead!]

"Are you sure?" Default and the others asked back.

[Yes. I’ve never regretted living with you guys. You can be annoying, but the best years of my existence were by your side. And hey, I’ll be the system itself from now on! How cool is that? I won’t have to abide by the system’s wishes anymore.]

Roan nodded. "You are annoying, but you did do a good job. Just make sure not to bother us too much."

[Yea, yea, yea... I get it, okay?]

Rean couldn’t help but look at Default and ask. "Does that mean you can create as many systems as you want?"

"Not exactly," Default shook his head. "The reason I can create a new one right now is that you already have the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. Thanks to that, there is no need for a real Universe Root Egg. This fake copy I have here with me is more than enough. As for any other system, a real root egg is an absolute must. As you can imagine, there aren’t exactly a lot of Universe Root eggs out there."

He continued. "Besides, I have no intention of creating more systems even if someone offers me their Universe Root Egg. You guys saw what a system is capable of. It disrupts the balance, and if a lot of them start popping up everywhere, I think The Echo will probably intervene. So, for now, you are the only ones I will provide one to, probably the last too."

The twins’ group could see that happening. Every time something way too extreme happens, the Universes try to compensate in other ways. They had the system, but in exchange, they were given crazy quests and put in unbelievable danger time and time again. "So... the destiny attraction shit..."

Default nodded. "The system is self-evolving and very overpowered. The universal laws had to do something to compensate for it, right?"

"Will we be free of the destiny attraction if Sister Orb becomes a system?" Roan asked. Perhaps transforming Sister Orb in their system wasn’t a very good idea.

"Hard to say," Default wasn’t certain. "She will definitely be a much, much weaker version of the previous system. Still, it will be self-evolving, so she might get where you were before. Even I can’t predict the outcome of it."

[What, are you guys afraid? Don’t worry. Sister Orb will be here to save the day if necessary.]

"Sigh..." Roan shook his head. "Whatever. Just go for it."

Default nodded, and the process immediately started. Default had Soul Gem join him inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, and the two worked together.

That wasn’t something easy to do. The creation of a new system took time, even if it was, at first, an inferior version. Rean and Roan helped however they could, especially Rean with his knowledge.

Surprisingly, some of The Echo was involved in the creation of a new system. Fortunately, Default could gather a little bit of its power and even store it or give it away. That’s how Soul Gem brought the system to Lisan in the past.

Nonetheless, they eventually ended their work, and the twins felt the apparition of the new system.

[This.... feels strange... So much information is going through my mind nonstop.]

Sister Orb said with some difficulty.

Default knew why, though. "And it will feel strange for a while. At the moment, the new system, you, are adapting to your new hosts, Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky. The good thing was that you were already all connected to each other, so it will save a lot of time."

Rean looked at the ’new’ Sister Orb in front of him. Things played quite smoothly, and there were no unbelievable phenomena happening because of what they did. "This was quite anticlimactic, you know?"

[Sorry if my mind almost exploding with all this information feels boring to you...]

Rean shrugged. "If you can complain like that, then you are fine. Hang in there."

Suddenly, the twins heard it again.

*Pin!*

But this time, it was Sister Orb’s voice that came out.

[Welcome to your new Sister Orb is the best System.]

Roan narrowed his eyes. "Too long. Orb System is enough."
