Chapter 4267: Wait Around

Woff had a surprised expression indeed, and so did the other experts at the top of the watchpost. But then, Woff sighed. "Sorry... I didn’t mean it in that way."

Now the ones surprised were the twins’ group. "That... way? What way?"

Woff scratched the back of his head in response. "I obviously got the full report about your abilities. I know that your aptitude isn’t even at the Gray Level. Yes, your Weapon Intents and Celis’ Energy Manipulation make a huge difference now, but this advantage will disappear as your cultivation increases, especially when you reach a realm where others can also use their Weapon Intents. Then, you will start to fall behind. So... yes, I obviously know what is wrong with you guys, but that wasn’t what I meant when I asked what was wrong. I was just impressed, that’s all."

The other experts in the watchpost were definitely surprised, though. They weren’t aware that the twins’ group had no aptitude whatsoever. They all sighed, feeling that it was truly a pity.

The twins’ group had almost forgotten about their aptitude test in the Buffer Zone. What Woff didn’t know was that they had always shown weird results when they took aptitude tests. That had never really been bad. If anything, they were likely at a level that just couldn’t be measured with the normal methods.

"T-That’s fine," Rean brushed that aside. They truly didn’t feel anything regarding that. "The sect is doing the right thing to use our abilities while they are still useful at our low cultivation realms. In any case, we are still ascenders, you know? We have countless years of experience we can use to overcome this... problem... of ours. We did get to the Celestial Realm Peak Stage before, after all."

*Clap!*

Woff nodded vigorously. "Now, that is the right attitude. Alright, go pay the taxes and then take the rest of the day off. If you can get rid of a group of Godly Creatures per day, that will already be much better than what I expected if Aura Gods had come instead of you. I’m truly impressed with the difference Weapon Intents make at such a low cultivation realm. I will provide you with the guides to bring you to the best places to ambush the Godly Creatures, too."

The twins’ group nodded, and they were allowed to go back to their rooms in the watchpost. It was only a single big room for the four of them, so Celis and Kentucky had to stay in their humanoid forms. Nonetheless, it wasn’t bad for a watchpost so far from the mainland.

Of course, they passed by the office to pay their part of the taxes for the Besgol Region first.

Back in their room, Celis held the Godly Crystals. "Well, at least they are reasonable about it."

There was a 30% tax for the Besgol Region on all Godly Crystals. The twins got twelve Godly Spawn Crystals and one Godly Beast Crystal. Naturally, you couldn’t cut 30% of a Godly Beast Crystal.

That said, the officer in there simply proposed that they come back later when they gathered more crystals. It would be easier to take the 30% part of the region. They could even use the crystals they had now if they wanted. All Crystals they obtained were recorded in the Ring Communicator, so they could pay these taxes later as well.

Celis decided to not do that now, though. Those few crystals wouldn’t make a single dent in their cultivation anyway. Instead, the twins’ group was planning to do something else.

They couldn’t use the Sanctuary for a day, but that didn’t mean they truly used a lot of Godly Energy. Besides, they could recover their Godly Energy if they had Godly Pressure available. So... Rean called one of the guides assigned to their group a few hours later.

"Can I help you, friends?" The guide, a woman called Juanita, asked politely. She also heard what the twins’ group did earlier.

Rean nodded. "You guys also patrol the area outside the Sacred Relic Influence, don’t you?"

"We do," Juanita confirmed. "But we stay close to the Sacred Relic’s Influence so we can run back straight away if there is any danger."

"Good!" Rean and the others were satisfied. "We can’t fight the Godly Creature Groups at the moment, but we can at least take a look at the areas outside the Sacred Relic Influence. Would you mind showing us around? We are very close to the range limit of the influence, after all."

Juanita didn’t see a problem with that. Area F17, as well as many others, was half inside the Sacred Relic Influence and half outside of it. They wouldn’t go out of their jurisdiction anyway. "But is that okay? Shouldn’t you focus on recovering to tackle the Godly Creatures tomorrow?"

"It’s fine, it’s fine!" Kentucky walked out of the room. "We can simply run if something happens. It’s our first time close to the Godly Creatures’ Territories, so we definitely want to see how it feels to leave the Sacred Relic’s Influence."

Juanita nodded, admitting it was a good opportunity. "Very well. I will contact the mainland so that we can leave the Relic Influence Range. As you probably heard, you can’t leave without authorization. Also, I will arrange for another two guides to come with us so we can have more escape routes if necessary."

And so, the twins’ group left the watchpost and moved northwest, the opposite direction to the mainland. Juanita and the other two guides checked their maps and took into consideration the position of the Godly Creatures Group inside Area F17. Of course, they also got the authorization to leave the influence without any issues.

It truly wasn’t too far. Just twenty-six kilometers later, the twins’ group felt the Natural Godly Pressure of the Celestial Plane fall on their bodies. That obviously reduced their strength.

However, because they were still close to the Relic’s influence, even if it wasn’t present, it acted as a partial deterrent. The Godly Pressure here was quite low because of that.

Juanita took the chance to ask. "Where do you want to go from here, friends?"

Rean shook his head. "This is enough. We will now spend some time here to get used to the environment. You guys can just wait around."
