Chapter 4524: Bring Them

Still in the Arrays Guild...

"Your name is Rean, right?" the supervisor of the exam asked.

"That would be me," Rean said with a smile. "Now that I think about it, sir hasn’t told me your name yet."

"Antohio." The Arrays Master introduced himself as well. "Say, Rean, how about we have a conversation? Don’t worry, your test was a success. You are definitely part of the guild now."

Rean glanced at Flugel and Lukay, who nodded back at him. "Sure, why not? However, my friends here will come with me. They work for me, you know?"

"That’s absolutely not a problem," Antohio answered.

And so, the group left the testing room and headed somewhere with more privacy.

Meanwhile, far away from Dlaval City...

Mario and Revana had been a couple for several decades. They didn’t have a family since neither side wished to have children at this point in their lives. Nonetheless, they had built quite a strong bond of trust over the years, which was something really rare in Woster.

So far, they had tried to keep out of trouble. They rarely joined larger groups and always took safer routes when hunting Godly Creatures. Thanks to that, although their cultivation progressed relatively slowly, both of them had been improving steadily. They weren’t particularly ambitious, but they had survived for a long time, and in Woster, survival itself was already a considerable achievement.

Mario and Revana shook their heads again. "Sorry, senior. It is still the same light-blue sky with a few clouds. The only difference is that there are fewer clouds than before."

Roan nodded slightly and didn’t say anything else.

Roan ignored that and kept the airplane moving forward.

The Navy-Blue color in the sky became more and more prominent on the horizon as they approached. At first, it had been so subtle that Roan could barely distinguish it from the normal blue of the sky. Now, however, there was no mistaking it. The farther they went, the darker that distant section became.

Roan’s expression gradually turned serious.

"Se-Senior..." Mario couldn’t help but call out to him. "We’ve never been this far before. There are Godly Horrors’ territories ahead. Also, if we go too much further, we might end up within the grasp of the Ghost of Woster. We will be done for if that happens."

Roan glanced at him for a moment before nodding and stopping the airplane.

He approached Mario and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I’m going to channel my Godly Energy into your body. Tell me if you can see the color of the sky changing this time."

Mario swallowed hard and nodded in response. He didn’t dare to send his own Godly Sense into Roan’s body, afraid that Roan would get angry. Instead, he simply waited.

’My energy is mixed with our Echo, right? So, if I channel it into this guy...’

[It should work,] Sister Orb agreed.

Finally, Mario felt the energy entering his body. He obviously couldn’t use it for cultivation since it wasn’t compatible with his own energy, but he could feel that something had changed the moment Roan’s power entered him.

"Thi-This..." Mario’s eyes widened. Finally, he could see what Roan had been asking him and his partner about all this time. The sky on the horizon was turning Navy-Blue. "I can see it, senior! It is definitely a much darker blue now!"

Roan retracted his hand and nodded in satisfaction. "That will be enough for now. I’ll land the airplane, and you two can leave."

"Uh?! Here?!" Mario and Revana were taken aback.

Roan narrowed his eyes. "Why? Can’t you make it back on your own?"

Mario and Revana quickly bowed, fear on their faces. "Se-Senior, this is very close to the area where you can find Godly Horrors. There are a lot of Godly Predators here too. Without a proper hunting group and strong enough experts, no one comes this far to hunt. If we are left here, we are most likely guaranteed to die on our way back."

Roan’s expression turned dark.

Sometimes, he forgot that what was considered easy for him wasn’t necessarily the case for everyone else. He would have to fly back to where he had found these two if he wanted to let them out safely.

Roan might be Roan, but that didn’t mean he liked sending others to their deaths for no reason, especially when they had come this far because of him. He had dragged them into this situation, so leaving them behind without a way to return would simply be irresponsible.

"Tch... Fine. You two just sit there and don’t bother me. Once I finish what I have to do here, I’ll send you back."

Mario and Revana immediately nodded, feeling relieved. "Yes, senior!"

They wouldn’t feel relieved for much longer...

Roan returned to the controls. He had no intention of turning back now that he had come this far. If necessary, he would simply bring the two of them along while he investigated the Navy-Blue horizon.

As the airplane resumed its journey, Mario and Revana exchanged a glance before quietly sitting down. They definitely didn’t want to be left here.
