Chapter 1836: The World's Absolute Ruler

The sound of time passing by was akin to flowing water, echoing in Li Luo's ears as he transcended time. He then opened his eyes. What was supposed to be a familiar world had changed beyond recognition.

She shook her head. "That is her name, you can call me 'Qing'e.'"

He solemnly replied, "I never would have thought that our relationship would be so complex. It doesn't matter though. Let's call each other what we wish. I'll call you 'Sister Qing'e' and you can call me 'Master.'"

Jiang Qing'e replied in embarrassment and annoyance, "You are her Master, not mine!"

Upon seeing how unusually vulnerable she was, Li Luo couldn't help but laugh loudly. Now that things had cleared up, it didn't matter what sort of connection Jiang Qing'e and the Sect Master had. Perhaps that was the wonder of fate. Li Luo grabbed her slender palm and interlocked their fingers. He then raised his head to look at the world around him.

At this moment, he could sense that a large portion of the control over the world lay in the Dark Sect Master's hands. She had taken advantage of all the Heavenly Fate accumulated by the renowned Sect Master and the Origin of Absolute Corruption to become the World's Absolute Ruler, and she was about to succeed.

Heavenly Emperors Jiang, Zhen Jie, Yan Changsheng, Su Ying, and the others all had looks of despair on their faces. As a result, not even the Legendary Sect Master and the Origin of Absolute Corruption combined could match the prestige he had accumulated over eras. The power of the world was thus bestowed upon Li Luo.

The world rumbled as he stood on the golden lotus. Endless streams of light condensed in his hand, transforming into a scepter with a tiny galaxy floating above it, containing billions of stars, each one representing an Authority. Every living creature prostrated themselves towards him in reverence and awe as he held up the Scepter of Authority.

Heavenly Emperor Jiang, Zhen Jie, Yan Changsheng, and Su Ying, the four Rulers, could keenly sense that Li Luo's will had replaced and encompassed the entire world.

Li Luo was now the World's Absolute Ruler! He had finally reached the ultimate realm.

The Dark Sect Master silently watched all of this unfold. Li Luo had surpassed her, and she could sense the world's hostility and rejection. She knew that she had lost.

Li Luo waved the scepter as he coolly observed her.

"Extinction will be sealed," he declared indifferently as though he was a god passing judgment on a mortal. The entire world shuddered.

The Dark Sect Master saw countless motes of black light leave her body. Her tenth-grade extinction resonance was now being stripped away by Li Luo's command as the Absolute Ruler. The moment the motes of light representing the tenth-grade extinction resonance left her body, layers of Authority of all sorts enveloped it, burying it in the depths of the world.

The Dark Sect Master was unwilling to sit idly and await her doom, however. Her gaze turned vicious and she ran away, leaving a trail of black light in her wake as she attempted to enter the Shadow World. She intended to use the Origin of Absolute Corruption's strength to fuse with it. Although she would disappear, the chaos would never end if she succeeded.

However, as soon as she started to move, space froze around her. Then Li Luo strode through the void and appeared in front of her. He smiled as he studied her familiar face.

"Now that I think about it, you've occupied this body for far too long. It's time to return it to its original owner," he said.

The Dark Sect Master had a mocking expression on her face as she retorted, "Are you referring to the strand of will belonging to the original body? Do you think such a puny ant could leave any trace behind after my purge? Every last bit of Li Lingjing's will has been erased—nothing was left behind."

Li Luo shook his head. "You've merely erased the will that remains within this body, but that is not all of it."

He waved his hand, and a snake staff appeared in his grasp. It was made out of aquamarine-colored bamboo, covered with scales, and gave off an icy aura. It was the Aquamarine Bamboo Python Staff.

Li Luo had given this treasured artifact to Li Lingjing as a gift, and it was later used in a hectic battle against Shen Jinxiao in the headquarters of House Luolan. She was then devoured by the Dark Sect Master, and the staff ended up in his hands. It was as the Dark Sect Master had said, Li Lingjing was a mere bug in her eyes, with no ability to resist. As a result, there was no way any part of her will remained within her body.

However, the staff contained a trace of Li Lingjing's will, though it was extremely weak and subtle, so much so that not even a Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperor would be able to sense its presence. However, in Li Luo's eyes, it couldn't shine any brighter.

Li Luo raised the staff and plunged it directly into the Dark Sect Master's chest. With the tenth-grade extinction resonance having been sealed away, the Dark Sect Master had lost the ability to fight back.
