Chapter 3188: Landing

Chapter 3188: LandingEditor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

The fleet emerged from the thick clouds high above.

"Whoosh! Whoosh, whoosh!"

Fang Heng, along with Noel Clan elder Nute, Nasir, and two other high-tier martial artists, leapt first from the fleet, diving toward the ground below.

While still in midair, they could already see dense swarms of mutant worms covering the ground, along with a thick layer of creep.

The second wave of mercenary teams, not yet at martial artist level, remained on the fleet, waiting for the first team to clear a small safe zone before joining.

At the current density of the worm swarm below, charging down would have been suicide.

"I’ll draw them first. You follow," Fang Heng said, then suddenly accelerated in midair, plunging rapidly downward.

"Whoosh! Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!"

From the ground, dense biological cannons aimed at Fang Heng, preparing to strike.

Secondary space projection!

Fang Heng’s body swiftly vanished into the projection, evading all the biological cannon attacks.

"Boom!!!"

In the next instant, Fang Heng landed in the center of the swarm, his fist smashing heavily into the ground.

His punch shattered the thick layer of creep covering the surface, striking the earth below.

Earth-element skill-Earthquake.

"Bang!!!"

Mental strength erupted, and the earth trembled violently from the point where Fang Heng’s fist struck. Shockwaves radiated outward across the ground.

"Boom! Boom, boom, boom!!!"𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Wave after wave of violent tremors exploded, instantly smashing any mutant worms within the affected domain.

The ground was quickly cleared into a circular area about fifty meters in radius.

Nasir and the others brightened, silently nodding to Fang Heng, and quickly moved into the cleared area.

"Humph!"

Fang Heng let out a soft hum, sending death waves radiating outward.

Death Domain!

The gray aura of the domain spread outward, covering all nearby worms in a layer of ashen gray. They could not endure more than half a second before automatically exploding into blood and flesh.

"Whoosh!"

Fang Heng landed, lightly touching the ground with his toes, and flashed toward the nearest elite-level mutant worm, opening his hand.

The blood-red short blade on his back formed a long, narrow scythe floating above his palm.

Slash!

"Whoosh!"

The long scythe cut through the air, leaving a dark-red wave of energy surging forward.

Every mutant worm it touched instantly exploded, spreading hundreds of meters before detonating, clearing nearby worms completely.

On a small patch behind, Noel Clan elder Nute landed with Nasir and the others. The surrounding swarm immediately surged toward them.

"Give me two minutes!"

Nasir pulled out a long scroll and shouted, beginning to set up a magic array in place.

Elder Nute and the other martial artists formed a protective circle around him, condensing imprints and pushing their mental strength to the limit, casting spells to block the continuously approaching worms.

Nute, an elite in fire-element magic, combined his skills with the martial artists’ earth spells, causing the ground to tremble violently, carrying fire to sweep forward and block the outer layer of the swarm.

It held.

The main reason was that Fang Heng had already eliminated all the elite-level worms, allowing them to use large-area spells to temporarily repel the remaining swarm.

The three watched Fang Heng flash through the swarm, cutting vast swathes of worms with the blood-red energy, and felt a chill.

God-level!

They no longer doubted that Fang Heng had reached the god-level stage of his disciplines, the only way he could so easily harvest life in such a massive swarm.

Two minutes passed in an instant.

Nasir knelt on one knee, pressing his hands on the magic array, shouting, "Help me!"

The three elders simultaneously pressed their hands onto the array.

"Whoosh!"

The array continued operating, instantly draining most of their mental strength.

Wind Blade Tornado!

Three large, blue wind-blade tornadoes condensed rapidly around the array, forming circular vortices spreading outward.

Every worm touched by the tornado was instantly lifted into the air, torn apart, and destroyed.

The ground was cleared into an area over two meters in radius.

Fleet ships descended into low altitude, and the second batch of Noel Clan mercenaries leapt from the ships to occupy the cleared space and establish a defensive line.

The low-altitude ships entered attack mode, extending light cannon barrels toward the swarm, blasting the outer worms in the surrounding area.

"Hu."

Seeing the fleet settle into low-altitude levitation, elder Nute exhaled and turned his gaze toward Fang Heng in the swarm.

The smooth progress owed much to Fang Heng, who had absorbed the first wave of swarm attacks and allowed the team to deploy the defensive array and land ships without facing any elite Seed of Ouroboros threats.

The enhanced wind-blade tornado’s area damage looked ridiculous, but against high-level, elite-mutated Seeds of Ouroboros, it was less effective.

Once all fleet ships completed setup and the defensive line was fully deployed, Fang Heng furrowed his brow and quickly returned to the group.

They all looked at him like he was some kind of monster.

After fighting through the swarm for so long, he remained vibrant and unlabored.

Fang Heng looked at Elder Nute. "Elder Nute, I sense the mutant worms are converging on this planet. They will arrive soon. Preparations must be made."

Hearing this, the small hope that had just risen among the group was almost extinguished.

The worms continued to reinforce? Who could withstand that? They wouldn’t even give them a moment to breathe?

Nute nodded lightly, "I understand. I will communicate with the captain to request that the Noel Clan speed up reinforcements."

"Tch, these mutant worms are arriving so fast. This is troublesome," Nasir muttered, spitting on the ground and starting to set up magic arrays around the fleet perimeter. "Fang Heng, the ships won’t finish repairs anytime soon. The spawns brought us here quickly. They surely have more tricks up their sleeves. They won’t be easy to deal with."

"Mm." Fang Heng nodded in agreement and said softly, "Nasir, I need to set up a few things to hold out longer."
