Chapter 3305: Clone

There were still two final items left.

One of them was the skill "Wormhole."

The main body could travel through the wormhole, though the improvement was limited. As for the next zombie clone, it could enter a higher-tier state, but what did that mean?

Fang Heng was curious and opened the skill to check carefully.

The zombie clone had gained an additional "conversion" option.

Corpse form, normal form (Titan bloodline).

Normal form?

Fang Heng frowned slightly. Did that mean an ordinary clone?

"Whoosh!"

A Licker leapt over from the side, stopped in front of him, and quickly formed a flesh cocoon, converting into the Normal form.

Then, under Fang Heng’s watchful gaze, the zombie clone’s grayish skin gradually faded, restoring the appearance of an ordinary human. But its expression was stiff and unnatural; one could tell at a glance that something was off.

Fang Heng narrowed his eyes and checked the game hint.

The normal clone could inherit the main body’s basic attributes and even had an additional bonus in construction, but its combat ability was weakened. It only possessed 80% of the main body’s HP and 50% of all other attributes.

It could not use most active skills and could not benefit from the Seed of Ouroboros transformation form.

However, it could still use passive skills.

For example, the most important one, the "Undead" effect.

For now, it seemed possible to replace the original normal zombie laborers with these.

In battle, though, the normal form’s effect was slightly inferior. The Seed of Ouroboros–fused zombie transformation, the Licker form, could still bring out much stronger combat strength.

Fang Heng pondered for a moment, then looked up at the insect attendants around the altar.

"Greetings, Beetle King!"

Around the altar, hundreds of thousands of insect attendants and cultivators knelt on one knee, paying homage to Fang Heng.

"Rise."

Fang Heng lifted his hand, feeling the changes in his strength.

The improvement was tremendous.

Back when he fought Xius, he could still feel that Xius’s attributes suppressed his to some extent, and that wasn’t even in Xius’s home territory.

Now, did he have the qualifications to fight the God Clan?

If they were in the same cosmic environment, Fang Heng believed their strengths were likely on par, perhaps even tipping in his favor.

No rush.

He still had room to grow.

Fang Heng turned his gaze to Xia Xi beside him and nodded, "I’ll leave the swarm to you for now. Continue gathering them and wait for my orders."

Meeting Fang Heng’s eyes, Xia Xi nodded respectfully.

"Yes, Beetle King."

...

"You mean the Descent ritual has been postponed?"

Fang Heng was on his way to the Death Realm when he learned the latest news from Zane about the Seven Realms Martial Capital.

He had thought that after the God Clan lost the Spirit Orb, they would immediately pursue him, and he had been on guard all this time.

Unexpectedly, two months had passed, and the other side had remained silent.

"Not sure. I heard that the God Realm unilaterally refused the Descent. The Seven Realms Martial Capital is now preparing a second ritual. This time, several members of the God Clan will descend at once; they’re planning to wipe you out completely."

Zane smirked and said, "Brother Fang Heng, I think they’re just scared. They probably figured sending one person wasn’t enough, so they decided to bring a few more to gang up on you."

Fang Heng thought about it and nodded.

"Sounds reasonable."

Even if his strength hadn’t improved at all, if he met Xius again, he was confident he could defeat him.

What’s more, he had now completely mastered the power of the Seed of Ouroboros. His physical strength had reached an unprecedented peak.

At least in terms of physique, he could crush the God Clan.

However, if too many of them came, the outcome would be uncertain.

"The Evil Clan is trying to delay the ritual’s progress. But based on their estimation, they can hold it off for at most another two months. Unless..."

Zane paused, his eyes gleaming with mischief, and looked at Fang Heng. "Unless we go over there ourselves and cause some trouble — destroy the God Clan’s Descent ritual."

"Oh?"

Fang Heng narrowed his eyes slightly, showing some interest.

Zane’s words made sense.

If they couldn’t beat the God Clan directly, couldn’t they at least deal with their spawns?

If they destroyed the spawns’ Descent ritual, that would solve the problem. And while they were at it, they could earn a bunch of King of Gods’ points.

Speaking of which, after the Netherworld missions, he had obtained a batch of Death Crystals. In theory, his level could already be raised to Level 70, but he had deliberately kept it at Level 67.

Mainly because he didn’t have enough points.

Fully upgrading all the zombie clones and the Seed of Ouroboros transformations had consumed a flood of points — far from enough.

So he had decided to save half the points for later and use the rest to complete the zombie clones’ full transformations.

But on second thought, something didn’t feel right.

"Hold on. Last time, the God Clan’s Descent happened so quickly. Why is it taking so long this time? Something’s off."

Fang Heng waved his hand. He could vaguely sense the scent of a conspiracy.

"Good point."

Zane nodded after Fang Heng’s reminder. "I’ll contact our believers again and have the Evil Clan look into this more thoroughly."

"Alright."

Since they still had two months, the God Clan issue could wait for now. If there were no trap, he could make a move later and destroy the spawns’ Descent ritual.

He still had other matters to handle in the meantime.

For instance, the Netherworld.

Fang Heng looked at Zane. "I have some other things to deal with. Are you staying here or coming with me?"

"Of course I’m coming with you, Brother Fang Heng."

Zane grinned.

He had realized that following Fang Heng often led him to relics of the Evil God’s faith, from which he could absorb power and quickly restore his own strength.

More importantly, it was exciting.

Fang Heng glanced at Zane and said, "Where I’m going, you might not be able to follow."

"Hehe, you must be talking about Ymir’s game world, right? I’ve heard about it."

"You know about it too?"

Earlier, when Fang Heng had been piecing together his memories from Xia Xi, he had learned a few things about that game world.

The outside world called the game "Ymir’s Black Fog World."

According to Xia Xi, the creator of the Black Fog World was an extremely powerful being. The world was continuously eroding reality — even Hell itself. After learning about Ymir’s game, Xia Xi had conceived the idea of using its power to cultivate a new generation of Beetle Kings.

That had led to everything that followed.

Xia Xi believed that Ymir’s game world was connected to the Titan race. From what she knew, only the Titan branches could enter the Black Fog World.

"I know a little," Zane said with a sly grin. "Don’t underestimate the Endless Domain. We’ve got plenty of rumors floating around, though most are fake."

He chuckled, "But I did hear one somewhat reliable story that Ymir was a powerful being who clashed with the God Clan over some matter. The spawns were involved, too. Before dying, he used up all his power to create the Black Fog World, aiming to destroy the God Clan’s control over the universe completely."

"But apparently, only certain races can enter the Black Fog World, and they can even gain strength from it. I’ve always been curious about that."
