Chapter 3548: Prison SpaceEditor: Nyoi-Bo Studio
Hm?
Fang Heng suddenly felt a stir in his heart. He stopped and turned his head to look at the prison cell on the right.
A member of the Dark Clan!
The Dark Clan prisoner stared back at Fang Heng without fear, faint anger flickering in his eyes.
Fang Heng said nothing. He merely extended a hand toward the Dark Clan prisoner.
"Chi, chi chi..."
Aura of death rapidly condensed in his palm, forming a faint blue soul flame.
The Dark Clan member was greatly startled. He lifted his head and stared at Fang Heng, as if trying to see through his identity.
The next moment, a voice sounded in the Dark Clan member’s mind.
"Do you know the whereabouts of the Nether Emperor? I’m looking for him."
Alarm bells rang in the Dark Clan member’s heart. He stared at Fang Heng, his eyes filled with vigilance.
"Who are you? Why are you looking for the Nether Emperor?"
"That’s not important."
"Hmph! Stop pretending. Would your God Clan really be so kind?"
"I’m not from the God Clan." Fang Heng gently shook his head and looked at him. "Do you know, or do you not?"
Rodney slowly stood up and stared at Fang Heng. The corner of his mouth curled slightly. "Of course, I know news about the Nether Emperor. If you dare to release me, I can take you to him."
"Alright."
As Fang Heng spoke, he swiftly condensed an imprint in front of him.
"Ka!"
With a soft click, the seal on the prison door opened.
Rodney was stunned instead.
He really opened the cell for him?
Why?
What exactly did this kid want to do?
He did not think there was anything about himself worth the God Clan’s use.
Were they planning something against the Nether Emperor?
That did not make sense either.
The God Clan clearly knew the Nether Emperor’s whereabouts better than he did.
Rodney quickly thought it over as he slowly walked out of the cell. He looked at Fang Heng and raised his hands, indicating the seals placed on his body.
"Help me remove them."
"No." Fang Heng gently shook his head. "Although I can remove the seals, doing so would be discovered by the God Clan. I don’t want to cause too much disturbance."
Rodney frowned and pointed toward the end of the passage. "The Nether Emperor is imprisoned here. I can take you to him."
"How do you know his location?"
"I can sense it."
Rodney said, "I was once a priest of the Nether Emperor. I can sense his aura."
"Let’s go. Lead the way."
Rodney walked forward.
Fang Heng did not mind and followed him step by step through the passage, crossing two prison sections before arriving at the passage leading to the fourth level.
The passage was blocked by a barrier.
Holy light flowed across the holy barrier.
Rodney looked at Fang Heng and said, "This is the entrance to the fourth level. Only a few captains of the prison have the key. Do you have it?"
"No, but I have other methods."
As Fang Heng spoke, the God’s Eye in his right eye rotated.
Alchemy magic imprints were rapidly dismantled and divided within the God’s Eye.
Attached to the entrance was a rather complex magic array imprint.
Any form of contact would trigger an alarm.
Unlocking it through normal means would take considerable time.
Fang Heng slowly extended his hand forward.
"Buzz..."
A faint white light gradually dissolved a portion of the magic array.
In just a few minutes, an opening was melted through the barrier.
Rodney looked at Fang Heng in surprise.
Who exactly was this guy?
Was he truly not from the God Clan?
"Follow."
Fang Heng stepped through the opening in the barrier.
Rodney stopped overthinking and immediately followed.
Who cared about his identity?
If he could truly meet the Nether Emperor again, that was enough.
The two passed through the holy barrier and entered the fourth-level prison domain.
...
The moment Fang Heng stepped into the fourth level, a sinister force invaded his sea of consciousness.
However, the strength of his sea of consciousness was now extremely terrifying. As soon as the force entered, it was immediately dissolved and devoured by various attribute powers.
Beside him, Rodney quickly condensed an imprint in front of himself to resist the erosion of the sinister force.
Fang Heng thought to himself that it was no wonder Quinn had personally led patrols starting from the fourth basement level.
If one’s strength was insufficient, living in such an environment for a long time would easily affect the mind.
Fang Heng quickly scanned his surroundings.
The fourth basement level was completely different in structure from the upper prison areas. At a glance, it was a massive circular underground space.
Large spatial rifts were arranged in a circle along the walls.
In front of each spatial rift was a teleportation magic array.
Fang Heng observed the spatial rifts and frowned slightly.
He understood now.
The fourth level’s prison cells were all independent dimensional spaces that had been opened up.
Fang Heng walked toward the nearest sealed dimensional space to inspect it.
Multiple layers of restrictions protected the sealed location.
It would be difficult to break it without triggering an alarm.
Fang Heng shifted his gaze to Rodney and asked, "Can you sense it? Is the Nether Emperor here?"
"He’s not."
Rodney looked toward the entrance directly opposite in the circular hall and said, "He’s still further below."
"Alright. Let’s continue."
Fang Heng moved forward, passed through the circular hall, entered the passage on the other side, and descended a staircase leading downward.
Another holy barrier blocked the way.
Fang Heng once again used Origin Power to dissolve the entrance gate.
Fifth level.
Ahead was another massive circular hall.
Compared to the upper level, the fifth-level hall was extremely empty and had only five dimensional spaces.
Rodney walked to the passage on the far right and pressed his hand against the magic array on it.
A faint light appeared on the magic array.
Rodney’s expression changed slightly, and he stepped back twice.
Fang Heng asked, "Well?"
"I’m certain. The Nether Emperor has been sealed inside this dimensional space."
"Step back."
Fang Heng walked forward and crouched down, placing both hands on the magic array.
Compared to the upper levels, the structure of the magic array sealing this special space was similar, but its strength had increased by more than one tier.
What he needed to do now was merely open a teleportation passage.
It should be possible.
Fang Heng thought silently as Origin Power emerged in his palm as a white glow, slowly dissolving the strength of the magic array.
Rodney stood beside him and waited quietly, his heart beating faster and faster.
Fang Heng’s actions indeed did not resemble those of the God Clan.
Could he really see the Nether Emperor again today?
A full half hour passed.
Fang Heng released his hands.
An opening had been broken through the magic array.
Rodney hurried forward. "Is it open?"
"For now, just a small opening. Let’s go."
Rodney immediately followed Fang Heng into the magic array.
Whoosh!
A dark golden light flashed, and the two disappeared from the magic array at the same time.
...
Inside the opened dimensional prison.
Fang Heng and Rodney completed the teleportation and appeared within the prison.
Fang Heng looked up at the young Dark Clan member seated on a stone chair ahead, his eyes closed in meditation.
He was the Nether Emperor? So young?
From the outside, dark golden chains were entangled around the Nether Emperor’s body. It seemed as though he had maintained the posture of closed-eye meditation for tens of millions of years.
