Chapter 3711: Polishing
Editor: Nyoi-Bo StudioIn the side hall lounge of Tide Temple.
The room’s layout resembled the Human World, and a faint seawater aura filled the space. A few clusters of luminous coral had been placed in the corners to provide lighting.
Fang Heng sat cross-legged on a cushion and took out the deep-blue memory crystal that Feng Tiya had given him.
The crystal felt cold in his palm.
He tried to send his mental strength into it.
In an instant, a massive amount of information surged into his mind.
The Sea God race’s complete method for advancing a god core had been far more complex than he had expected.
The preliminary theoretical section alone had been divided into twelve major categories, covering divine power condensation, faith absorption, divine refinement, soul tides, and many other aspects. Each category had been further subdivided into dozens of subtopics.
Fang Heng quickly scanned the theoretical framework and nodded inwardly.
So this had been the real method of god-core advancement all along. Compared to the half-baked false god cultivation manual he had obtained before, this was far more detailed.
He immediately calmed his mind and studied it carefully.
"Mr. Fang Heng."
After an unknown period of time, a strange female voice came from outside the door.
Fang Heng withdrew his mental strength from the crystal and looked toward the entrance.
A Sea Race woman stood outside.
She appeared much older than the two priests beside Feng Tiya. Her face was thin, her white hair was tied into a high bun, and her vertical pupils carried a hint of scrutiny.
"Who are you?" Fang Heng asked.
"I am Mora. Her Majesty has sent me to guide you in your god-core advancement," she replied.
Fang Heng stood up and nodded slightly. "Please come in."
Mora entered the room. Noticing the memory crystal in Fang Heng’s hand, she asked as if testing him, "What did you see in the memory crystal?"
Fang Heng thought for a moment and replied. "The complete theoretical framework of Sea God race god-core advancement. Twelve major categories. The ultimate goal is to use faith power as the core and fuse the god core."
Mora nodded, her expression unchanged.
"Faith power is essentially a pure aggregation of spiritual energy. It does not belong to any known power system, but it can be absorbed and converted by carriers of any system, forming a god core in the end."
"You should have realized that if a god core is formed using only a single power system, the improvement is limited. But if two or more power systems are simultaneously converted and fused into the god core, the final enhancement is far beyond a simple one-plus-one effect."
Fang Heng nodded inwardly.
What Mora described matched his own recent understanding.
In fact, god-core condensation was similar to the faith-based god-core advancement method of the God Clan. However, the God Clan’s god core only fused a single sacred system, so its improvement was limited.
Compared to that, Fang Heng himself was fusing three different powers—undead, sacred, and hell. Even though it was still in its initial stage and not perfectly integrated, his strength had already increased significantly.
"Also, the fusion of a god core can only use the highest-level discipline among your current powers as the foundation. The levels of the other disciplines cannot differ too much, or the god core will collapse directly."
Mora gave an example.
"For instance, if your highest discipline is god-level, then you can only use god-level disciplines for fusion."
"I understand," Fang Heng nodded lightly.
No wonder he had been unable to further integrate elemental science, spatial science, and others into the god core.
Their levels were too low.
His undead, sacred, and hell disciplines were all super-god level. Compared to them, other disciplines were simply not sufficient.
Mora looked at Fang Heng. "I heard you have already formed a preliminary god core. Can you demonstrate it?"
"Alright."
Fang Heng extended his hand, and a dark-gold sacred flame immediately appeared.
Mora frowned slightly, her expression changing.
Sacred power?
What was his connection to the God Clan?
Before she could think further, the sacred flame in Fang Heng’s hand suddenly turned cold and dark, transforming into an icy blue flame.
Mora was even more shocked.
Undead power?!
How was that possible?
Not only was undead power extremely rare, but how had he managed to simultaneously control both undead and sacred powers?
Before she could recover from her shock, the cold flame in Fang Heng’s hand changed again, bursting into violent energy.
Hellfire!
Mora stared at the constantly switching flames—sacred, undead, and hell—her mind shaken beyond measure.
Three powers.
He was switching between three completely different attributes.
How had he done this? And from the intensity of the flames, she did not doubt that all three disciplines had reached god-level.
After a long silence, Mora finally spoke.
"Fang Heng, your strength is truly astonishing."
She continued with a solemn expression, "Fusing these three powers to form a god core... your ambition is indeed great. However, the difficulty of refining and improving your god core will also increase significantly."
"Hmm?" Fang Heng asked. "What do you mean?"
"Most fused god cores combine only two powers. You are using three, and they also contain mutually opposing attributes. This will create greater difficulty during refinement."
Mora looked at him. "Do you remember the god core?"
"Yes."
"The god core can be refined using external pressure. It helps push the god core toward perfection. But with your three powerful and conflicting forces, one god core may not provide enough pressure for proper refinement."
"Depending on the situation, it may take decades... or even tens of thousands of years."
She added with concern, "That may not even be the worst part. I am more worried that a single god core will not be enough to properly refine your god core to perfection."
"Take it step by step," she said after a pause. "Your god core has just been formed. At your current stage, refining it with a god core is still possible. Cultivation cannot be rushed. I will also think of other methods and request Her Majesty to borrow god cores from the other two deep-sea Sea God temples."
Fang Heng nodded slightly. "Thank you, Priest. I understand."
He knew god-core cultivation would take a long time, but he had not expected it to take this long.
Still, it did not matter.
He would take it step by step.
First, he would refine and stabilize his god core to the next stage.
In simple terms, god-core cultivation was a continuous cycle of condensation, refinement, upgrading, further refinement, and further upgrading, until it reached perfect completion.
Of course, if the god core was refined well enough during the process, it might only require one upgrade to reach perfection.
But most people did not achieve that.
His god core had just been formed and still had not reached the refinement stage of further advancement.
He would proceed step by step and refine as much as possible for now.
