Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1803: Mirroring Saint Physique

Chapter 1803: Mirroring Saint Physique

"Interesting. I thought I could finally suppress Hong’er after I returned home and regained my pride as a man. Who knew things would not be so simple," Wang Wei thought. He has checked using the Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array and knew he — or anyone from the Eternal Ascension World participating in the expedition — did not have the destiny for the first Saint of the Transcendent Era, meaning the chances his wife had it were even higher.

While his strength has drastically increased during this expedition, he also expects a similar dramatic increase in his wife’s strength because of that destiny. Now that their cultivation realm and strength were relative to each other, Wang Wei and Wu Hong can finally have a true and equal battle to determine who is the strongest once the expedition and her trip end.

"I can finally be on top without her letting me," Wang Wei thought with a smug and confident look. His mind wavered as he pictured such a bright future. Luckily, his daze only lasted for a few hours before he focused on the task at hand. He had only experienced the life of one person who had condensed a Supreme Dao Will, so he took the time to learn from the other. All knowledge will be useful — especially if he plans to fuse 4 Saint Will Prototypes.

After his cultivation ended, Wang Wei did not immediately leave. Instead, he waited to see if this monument would mention anything about a Soul Saint Will. Sadly, there was nothing. The library should have been an excellent source of knowledge, but even after combing through everything, there was no mention of the Soul Saint Will.

Wang Wei did not know whether anyone had ever thought of this idea, which was unlikely but still possible. After all, most people of the world cannot cultivate the Soul until the Saint Realm unless they are from a Holy Land or the Origin Lineage. Primordial Chaos Saints cannot create places that allow the rules of the souls to manifest; this world’s hidden rules of empowering the flesh are too powerful for non-Tribunal Lords to overcome in a large area. So, while first-step powerhouses can cultivate themselves, they cannot create an environment for their sects, clans, or other people.

"There must be someone who has studied this issue. At the very least, the Soul Chaos Demon God should have. However, it appears they’ve chosen to keep this information private," Wang Wei analyzed. Since he couldn’t rely on the existing foundation, he could create his own method.

"Fangjin, let’s go," Wang Wei said after taking all the knowledge about the soul from the scripture pavilion.

"Yes, my lord, but I would like to remind you that many people have sent an invitation, wishing to see you."

"Reject them all," Wang Wei said. Typically, he’s a very sociable person, but he was now surrounded by a group of people who could kill him with a snap of their fingers. On top of that, he has no one he can trust. So, the best course of action is to keep to himself and prevent these people from having an opportunity to harm him, or better yet, not see through him.

The Holy Land was these people’s home, so if they wanted to harm him, staying away from them was not that effective. However, as long as Wang Wei kept to himself and remained as mysterious as possible, the fear of a Fate Dao Cultivator should keep these people at bay, buying him enough time to strategize.

"Sir, I wouldn’t recommend you do that."

"Oh? And why is that?" Wang Wei asked casually.

"The situation in the holy land is complex. If you wish to remain neutral, ignoring everyone is the worst way to do so. On the contrary, you might offend everybody."

Wang Wei glanced at him. "Did someone buy you off? But you don’t look like someone who can be bought off."

"I’m just advising you, sir. The choice is still up to you."

"Is that so?" Wang Wei muttered. He understood the political situation of the Holy Land. There are two factions: the Chaos Demon God and what Wang Wei called the Young Lineage. The former is the creator of the holy land, and as the faction with the most second-step powerhouses, they have the most power.

However, most of the Chaos Demon Gods died during the final battle between Pangu and Hundunxi. As a result, the Young Lineage has the highest number of Primordial Saints (first-step powerhouse), and most of the [Mortal] and [Immortal] cultivators of the holy land belong to them. If not for a few wise Chaos Demon Gods who chose other races as disciples and trained them, the Young Lineage would have controlled all the lower-level disciples and managerial staff.

"You may have a point," Wang Wei uttered. No matter how great his analysis was, it could not compare to Fangjin, who knew the people of this sect better than he did. Of course, Wang Wei is still on guard against this seemingly perfect butler/servant.

"Invite the five Holy Seeds and the top 20 disciples to a banquet. Make sure there is a good distribution of both factions. Make sure to emphasize a disciple-only event."

Fangjin gave him a knowing look and calmly replied: "It will be done."

Fangjin was a man of action, and his work is always fast and efficient. On the same day, all the disciples received the invitation, and a week later, the invited individual arrived. Wang Wei put on his charms. The people of this world had a slight beauty standard, and what they considered charismatic.

In the Primordial Timeline, handsome men who verged on being beautiful are favored, with an emphasis on a unique and mysterious aura. As for charisma, most people preferred wise, intelligent, and calm individuals. However, this world is different. The woman prefers a more heroic, brave man; a man who exudes martial prowess and indomitable confidence. Charismatic individuals are usually domineering and have the strength to back it up.

So, after changing into an outfit that showed his terrifying physique, Wang Wei raised the charm to the highest level. It did help that he easily suppressed all five Holy Seeds with absolute power. Throughout the banquet, he was surrounded by all 25 people, telling them tales of his experiences in his world. He did not take all the spotlight; he shared it appropriately, and he did it so seamlessly that the people involved thought he was magnanimous and easy-going.

The entire banquet was Wang Wei’s way of announcing to the holy land that he would not choose a side. However, just before the event was about to end, he received a secret communication from the first Holy Daughter Seed, Dongfang.

"Holy Son, I want to make a deal with you."

"Not interested," Wang Wei replied.

"Really? Don’t you know I have the Mirroring Saint Physique? The benefits you can receive from me are beyond your imagination."

Wang Wei controlled himself to prevent a frown. He had heard of Saint Physiques. Some cultivators of the world do not walk the [Bloodline] Path, and as such, their descendants do not receive their bloodline. Instead, they developed a unique physique, great talent, and even some powers to break the rules.

"Stay after the banquet," Wang Wei said.

The banquet ended, and Wang Wei led Dongfang to a quiet room with Fangjin at his side. She wore a blue skirt that reached the knee, high black boots, a black shirt — all made of the best demonic beast hide —, and a white mink coat. Her black hair gently lay over the coat; her eyes were as bright as the reflection of a mirror, and her small lips as red as plum blossom. Her beauty perfectly combined the ancient, wild nature of this world with the gentle beauty of the primordial timeline.

"Get to the point," Wang Wei asked.

Dongfang squinted her eyes. The difference between the previous charming Wang Wei and this calm, calculated, and cold version was so vast that even she was caught off guard. However, she swiftly controlled herself.

"Do you know about the Mirror Saint Physique?"

"No."

"In simple terms, I can mirror someone’s life experience and learn from them. I wish to mirror you."

"No," Wang Wei immediately refused. He had too many unique abilities and techniques; he would never allow someone else to acquire them.

"Don’t reject me yet," Dongfang said. "I only want to mirror your Dao Heart and Saint Will Prototype."

"In that case, there is room for maneuvering," Wang Wei said. "What are you offering in exchange?"

"One of the abilities of my physique is that in each major realm, I can mirror someone one realm above mine no matter their strength."

"No matter their strength?"

"Yes. I want to give this opportunity to you."

Wang Wei looked at her. "To clarify, you’re saying I can mirror a Saint and learn everything they have achieved?"

"Not just learn. A complete mirroring means you can have their strength for a short duration."

"There has to be some kind of restrictions, correct?" Wang Wei asked.

"Of course."
