Chapter 1815: Bloodline Fusion

[Guess whose birthday it is? Guys, I’m going to shamelessly ask for a present. You don’t need to do much, just go read my new novel: Earth’s Magical Civilization. Read it, put it in your library, comment, vote, and recommend it to others. Do it and I’ll have the best birthday ever.]

---

Lin Fan was well aware of this truth. His "resistance" was not due to ego or pride — he already knew he wasn’t as good as Wang Wei in both the cultivation department and the level of skill. However, he refused to escalate the battle because it was a great opportunity for improvement.

How old is the Emperor Enlightening Academy? How long has it been since they cultivated a Paragon? What high-level resources do they have — especially compared to lineages such as the Dao Opening Sect? As much as he loved and appreciated his teacher, Lin Fan understood their sect’s foundation was weak. Luckily for him, he had a fortunate encounter in the form of the Primordial Holy Land to make up for many things.

The current battle was a great learning opportunity for Lin Fan. No one in the Holy Land can say they have reached the pinnacle of power in the [Immortality Stage] like Wang Wei. And given that they had agreed not to fight to the death, Lin Fan wanted to learn as much as possible; he wanted to use this fight to strengthen his foundation.

"I understand how you feel," Hundunxi continued. "But Wang Wei doesn’t want to play around anymore. It seems he had sensed something."

"Those people are already making their moves?"

"It’s the perfect time, isn’t it? Everybody is distracted by this fight, leaving them open for an attack."

"In that case, we really need to hurry up," Lin Fan thought. Glancing at his surroundings, he saw hundreds of galaxies frozen as a result of the energy leaked from Wang Wei’s Yin Energy Palm. The other galaxies had turned red, drowning in Lin Fan’s blood. Despite the devastation, no one cared because no one lived in these areas.

[Chaos Demon God Transformation]

A powerful bloodline awakened in Lin Fan’s body — a powerful, beautiful, and noble bloodline. Unlike Wang Wei and the Wang Clan, who walked the path of elevating the Human Bloodline into a high state similar to Fiendgod and eventually Chaos Demon God, Lin Fan walked the path of fusion. He fused his human bloodline with Hundunxi’s Chaos Demon Bloodline, but he only selected the best trait from both.

Although the Primordial Chaos Demon God scoffed at the idea that humans had better traits than his people, Lin Fan insisted on his path. Humans had many advantages over other Chaos Demon Gods: their reproductive capabilities, their ability to think strategically, their ingenuity, their malleability across different paths, and, finally, their comprehension. Although the last one can be debated, humans are among the races with the highest level of comprehension in the Chaos Universe.

The only reason most races dispute this claim is the inconsistency of this talent. If they compared the most talented humans with the least talented one, the difference in comprehension is too vast, making it seem as if only a few humans were lucky enough to have such talent. But with high reproductive ability and countless humans, the number of humans with unparalleled talent is vast, raising the average of the entire race.

Wang Wei arrived in front of his enemy, and what awaited him was a colossal entity. Lin Fan was so huge that his eyes resembled two spiraling red galaxies. He had purple skin with rune-like veins flashing intermittently all over his body. His eyes were dark, devoid of any pupils, and his brow contained a white crystal.

Wang Wei frowned as he saw the transformation. He had his own method to manifest as a colossal being, but a quick analysis revealed Lin Fan’s transformation was superior to his. If he transforms like his opponent, he’ll have to use a part of his control skill to elevate his body, and the overall power of his other attacks will be reduced by 0.8%.

"Saints have all their essence, spirit, qi, mind, willpower, and Dao fused. The fact that my strength will decrease is proof that my mastery of the Saint Control is not perfect," Wang Wei analyzed. He was glad he had found this flaw after seeing Lin Fan’s transformation. Sadly, he had already decided to end this fight as soon as possible, meaning he couldn’t use this battle to improve immediately. Wang Wei couldn’t help it; the sense of danger he previously felt was increasing by the seconds.

Lin Fan raised his palm to strike. Everything died: all galaxies, stars, systems, planets, nebulae, and even cosmic rays — everything in his path was destroyed. Meanwhile, the tiny Wang Wei — who was smaller than a speck of dust compared to that palm — raised his hand to block it. The result? Up to the elbow, Wang Wei had no skin or flesh, only purple-gold bones.

"Destruction Origin?" Wang Wei muttered as he recognized this power. "You’re really fearless." He has been careful in every step, including refusing to use or comprehend the Origin Law of this world. On the contrary, Lin Fan didn’t have any of his reservations. With Hundunxi as his backer, he took full advantage of being exposed to another Source of Law.

"I don’t have as many reservations as you," Lin Fan replied. "Die." As he uttered these words, the universe followed and executed them. The previous attack had already cleared out an area compared to thousands of Earth’s observable universe, but now, the range was even more devastating. With one word, the entropy in countless galaxies reached the maximum and experienced an early heat death.

Wang Wei remained calm as he regenerated his flesh and skin. Lin Fan’s Saint Will Prototype was powerful, but Wang Wei didn’t detect any signs of fusion of multiple will prototypes. He doesn’t know if the latter is still holding back, but that didn’t matter for now. A semi-transparent shield appeared around Wang Wei, calmly protecting him from the Death Origin Law.

Lin Fan — who was about to attack a second time — paused. A look of disgust flashed in his eyes. The technique Wang Wei used reminded him of one Su Ya had used. Through her Dao, she granted Heaven and Earth an emotion—an immense love for her—and compelled the world to serve as her guardian and protect her.

"No, this one had a similar effect but a different approach," Lin Fan swiftly analyzed after controlling his emotions. A sudden premonition flashed in his mind; he felt this was not a simple defensive technique, but the precursor to something even more terrifying. And he was correct.

Wang Wei — who remained in his tiny form — flickered his finger. A terrifying power arrived in front of Lin Fan before he could react. He instinctively used the Karma Origin Law to direct the power to the surrounding area; after all, he had immense karma with it after all the destruction he had caused. However, his spell was useless.

Lin Fan watched as his skin was incinerated, his muscles were atomized, and his dark-gold bones cracked, and many of his organs froze into an icicle before dispersing into motes of light. "The power of Heaven and Earth?" he uttered in shock.

The Power of Heaven and Earth is a common thing among cultivators; it’s usually the precursor to comprehending the law. In the Origin System, it’s something that the Divine Body Cultivator used. Everyone knows the power of Heaven and Earth was truly terrifying. In simple terms, using it is like being boosted by Heavenly Dao itself.

Unfortunately, in the lower realm, power has its limits. Cultivators have no choice but to comprehend the laws since they cannot borrow or control any more of its power. By the time they are strong enough to overpower Heavenly Dao and use more power, their Grand Dao Source is even more powerful than the Power of Heaven and Earth. Meanwhile, in the upper dimension, Heavenly Dao is comparable to a Saint. How dare anyone try to use its power?

Meanwhile, Wang Wei used his [Absolute Control] to influence his environment. With his strength, he can borrow the power of the entire universe and even the power of Origin Laws without directly accessing or connecting to them. With that single flick, Lin Fan was not just hit by Wang Wei’s physical force, but every grass, forest, mountain, dirt, ocean, air, flame, metal, stars, planets, galaxies, and every Origin’s Law’s presence in the battlefield. Although it wasn’t the full force of these concepts, the power involved was still terrifying.

"I finally understand why this human suppressed your entire generation: his talent is truly scary," Hundunxi said with a serious glance. "We must kill him."

"Why the sudden change?" Lin Fan asked, genuinely perplexed.

"His talent reminded me of Pangu."

"Just because of that?"

"That’s more than enough, but if you want a valid reason, I’ll give you one," Hundunxi sneered. "With his talent, he has a high chance of achieving True Transcendence."

"And?" Lin Fan had no idea where this was going; no one can say for sure that someone will transcend.

"I can tell this kid is the rebellious kind; he would never follow Grand Dao’s order and use a more peaceful approach," Hundunxi sneered. "And just like Pangu, his Transcendent Method — whether successful or not — will leave lasting damage to the universe, making it even harder for the rest of us to transcend. For that reason alone, he deserves a billion deaths."
