Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1951 Grand Dao’s Return

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The echo of a beating heart spread to every corner of the universe, slowly rising in tempo until all sentient beings could hear it. At first, people were confused, but before they realized it, they started to cry; they didn't know why, but the tears wouldn't stop falling—even for most Mortal Cultivators.

"Mother." That single word echoed from the mouths of countless individuals. No one knew who said it first, but soon it spread everywhere. And as soon as someone uttered it, a deep sense of longing, loss, and hope ignited in the heart of all sentient beings. And then, they understood.

Their mother, creator, and guardian—the one who sacrificed herself to protect them and the world—she wasn't gone. She lived — weakened, but alive. And now, she had returned; she abandoned her role as a silent guardian to once again stand in front of them, protecting them from the rain.

Wu Hong controlled her rampaging emotions as she searched for the source; her eyes eventually turned to the Destiny Hope Array. It made sense that the last remnant of Grand Dao would hide there; it also made sense that she couldn't find it no matter what she tried.

"Well?" Wu Hong calmly asked, and a small cloud flew from the array toward the gilded palace. A tremor that encompassed the entire timeline suddenly manifested, forcing all eyes to turn in the direction of the Red Cloud. Everyone waited—including Wu Hong—but nothing happened; to be precise, something was happening, but it appeared it wouldn't affect the ceremony.

As soon as the cloud entered the palace, a seal locked it, but it didn't even try to resist. At this point, Grand Dao knew this was her last chance at revival or even having a fighting chance against the Red Cloud. Meanwhile, Wu Hong sighed in relief; although she was confident in her seal, she always appreciated fewer complications.

A subtle aura akin to the source of the Dao suddenly spread from the palace. And immediately afterward, the Heavenly Court connected to the Grand Dao Source. Wu Hong flicked her hands to summon the remaining 3800 seals, which turned into a star array before fusing with the court.

Bang!

Two terrifying auras spread between Heaven and Earth, revealing a seal and a scroll — the Holy Lands had acted. Wu Hong remained calm as these two powerful weapons rushed toward the court. Today, nothing can stop the birth of this new era.

Boom!

A sword and a green creature that resembled a horse with dragon hair and scales confronted the other two Saint Artifacts, stopping them in their tracks. The Qilin had a scar running down its back, but that didn't stop it from releasing the most terrifying aura ever.

"Little girl, you better not have lied to me," the Qilin — guardian of the Xu Clan — said.

"Don't worry; once this is over, you will be healed," Wu Hong said, nodding calmly.

"For your sake, let's hope you're telling the truth."

Wu Hong focused on the task at hand. The [Heaven and Earth Array] was established with the Heavenly Court as its core. However, this was just the beginning. The array's purpose was not just to give her Saint battle prowess but also to repair the rules of Heaven and Earth, thus healing this timeline and exiling the Red Cloud.

However, she knew she couldn't repair an entire world alone, which is why the next step was crucial. The Emperor List materialized in the air for a few seconds before fusing with the court. The Emperor Path's Qi Luck Dragon manifested itself, and after roaring to display its joy, more legs grew until there were 300.

Wu Hong did not stop there; the Conferred God List appeared in her hand, and she began to anoint people. "The Qilin Sovereign is now the Guardian Saint of the court and the Earth God. Han Guo is now appointed as the Destiny God. The Holy Lord is…"

Ignoring the desperate attack of the other two holy lands, Wu Hong read all the names of the Holy Land with their positions. As for the others? She just wrote them on the list. Finally, she shifted her focus to the Saint Tier Battle going on in the void.

"Let's test my newfound power," Wu Hong thought.

"Seal!"

Millions of magic circles materialized between Heaven and Earth. The arrays combined into one, then released countless black chains that wrapped around the seal and the scroll. Of course, these powerful artifacts resisted. Unfortunately, in front of the pinnacle of the Seal Dao, their attempts were useless.

Wu Hong and everyone watching were sure this would be the perfect victory for the Emperor Dao Holy Land. Still, at the last moment, the seal released an unknown power that swiftly broke through the seal before disappearing into the void.

"That power — is that destiny? The destiny of the Qi Path? It seems Emperor Sui was right about the Three Virtue Paragon," Wu Hong thought. With a flick of her wrist, the Five Element Scroll appeared on her palm. She gently caressed it: "With this thing, I can accelerate the repair of the Five Element rules." Once the Five Element rules are repaired, the Yin-Yang rules can be repaired, and from there, everything else can be accelerated.

"All Gods who hold a position need to report to the court immediately." Her voice spread to every corner of the world, and once she finished, the court entered the void, disappearing. A peaceful atmosphere descended on the world, but everyone knew this was the truth. The world had changed, and everybody knew this; they also knew the subsequent changes and chaos that were about to happen.

"How is it?" Wu Hong said as she teleported to the Holy Lord's residence in the court.

"Not good," Han Guo said, sighing deeply. The Holy Lord's body was rapidly fading.

"That's the price of mortals using powers beyond their understanding," the Qilin Sovereign — who had shrunk his massive body — sneered.

"The Saintess has done everything for the revival of the Emperor Path; this is the least I can do," the Holy Lord calmly said, a smile still hanging on his handsome face.

"Why are you acting like this is the end for him? Come with me." Wu Hong waved her hand, opened a portal, and calmly walked in. Everybody followed, with Han Guo supporting the Holy Lord.

"Put him inside," Wu Hong said.

"Is this the [Power of Hope] liquefied?" the Qilin Sovereign asked.

"Yes. I've modified it for healing; it should also help you, but let him go first."

The Holy Lord's eyes lit up. He was already prepared to accept his fate. Although he wouldn't die because of his Divine Position, healing would still require an abnormal period, and more importantly, his Saint Path was likely to be cut off. But now, he had hope. So, without wasting a moment, he jumped into the pool, sat cross-legged, and cultivated.

Everyone waited with anticipation, and the result was immediate; his body stopped dissipating. Everybody sighed in relief, while Wu Hong remained calm. Instead, she focused on observing the latter's [Existence].

"I was right. The [Power of Hope] contains some of the essence of merit. No wonder there were rumors it could cultivate a Saint," Wu Hong thought. With this confirmation, she was sure this healing pool could handle the backlash of using Saint power. More importantly, now that she controls Grand Dao to some extent, she might even be able to create something better — for example, merit.

"What do you think?" Wu Hong asked.

"It can indeed heal me," the Qilin Sovereign replied. "But only if you can remove the Saint Will from my body."

"That's not an issue," Wu Hong said. Even before she reached her current strength, she built the Grand Unified Will, which can absorb Saint Will to nourish or empower the Heavenly Dao. Now, with control of the Grand Dao — even a weak version — it's rather a simple matter to treat the Qilin Sovereign.

"When can we start?"

"I still need to stabilize the situation. And I recommend you execute your position; it might alleviate the situation, and maybe even solve your problem on your own."

"Is that so? Then, I'll try."

Wu Hong didn't stay long; she teleported to the central room and sat on her throne. Repairing the rules was the perfect opportunity to deepen her understanding of the Grand Dao Source and improve her comprehension of the hidden rules. Unfortunately, she hadn't had a chance to start when Han Guo requested a meeting.

"What is it?"

"The Five Elements people are here."

"That was fast."

"Considering the situation, it's understandable," Han Guo sighed. Saint Artifacts are one of the greatest resources of a holy land, and losing them is one of the worst things that can happen. "Do you want to see them?"

"No. Let them wait."

Han Guo nodded. "I understand. But, Saintess, what do you plan to do with the artifact?" She didn't think the holy land would stop trying, and if necessary, they would probably wage war to recover the artifact.

"The Emperor Path must spread in all four directions."

Han Guo squinted. "I understand. I'll prepare."

"No need to rush. Focus on your position for now; it's a great opportunity."

"As you wish."
