Chapter 2585: Cruelty

Time passed.

Sam and the beasts disappeared into the Shadow world and only came out occasionally.

The expansion plan was stopped for a while, except for the automated system, nothing else worked.

Saxon area was being torn apart bit by bit. In fact many times, Bewulf attacked the puppets and formations, Sam created. However, no matter how many they destroyed, the puppets kept on coming.

Bewulf finally couldn’t take it anymore and brought all the people back to the main base of the Saxon region. He blocked the space around it and made the consummate cultivators, attack any puppets that came.

Even if they landed far away, they used ranged attacks to destroy them. But by then, Sam already had half the Saxon region under his control, or rather occupied by shadow patches.

And while this happened, Bewulf had half the mind to just to go ahead and kill Sam. He even moved a couple of times. But the other factions didn’t let him proceed.

Their consummate peak stage cultivators came running and blocked him completely. They made sure Bewulf is completely under control.

Meanwhile, the beasts in the surrounding area were fighting like crazy. For every beast there is a shadow competing to take its place.

Whenever beasts ran out of energy, they went back to divine dimension to recharge and came out. These days had been the toughest battles in their lives. They have to make sure they resist the shadow corruption and fend off the beasts.

When the points announcement came, the beasts were in an intense battle again. They were a bit cranky because of the constant state of battle.

At that moment, Sam opened his eyes and stood up.

"We are leaving."

He went out along with the beasts, set up a formation on the base and got ready to breakthrough.

For some reason, the moment he came out of the shadow world, he didn’t seem as bothered by the lust anymore.

His body is still twitching occasionally, but his face became clearer.

Beasts and Sam sat in the formation getting ready to make a breakthrough.

And as soon as they did....

Saha appeared above Sam’s base. He came close to Sam and the beasts. Before he could speak though...

"There...is...movement from the factions?" Sam spoke with extreme difficulty.

"Yes." Saha was surprised.

"Wai...wait for their arrival. Activate the first phase of defence and start your fights normally.

I... will join you.

Only the consummate stage cultivators should fight... re..st should... stay put.. until I come."

"But..." Saha was about to convince him. But Sam stopped him.

"I need to do this, right now... Leave"

Sam’s expression was serious.

Saha remembering Parth’s words left after that.

Sam sat down and his focus was on his own soul.
