Chapter 2615: Game

Chapter 2615: Game

Sam obviously was not fazed by the contract. Not even a bit.

In fact, he was even a bit grateful that Shimmy got that greedy. Because now, Sam can actually write something of equal value. And he has the perfect collateral in mind.

He filled in the details and waited for Shimmy’s team to come.

When he gave them the document, Shimmy almost screamed out loud. His face turned ugly.

"You sure are greedy Sam."

"I believe its a worthy trade. In fact, I might be losing out here..."

"As I said, you are not humble at all. But still, I am willing to humor you. Because you are the one who is gonna lose."

"See, that right there tells me that you are the one who doesn’t know any humility..."

Even before Sam could finish his words, Shimmy signed it with confidence...

Philip and the rest of Sam’s team are right there. Looking at the whole transaction.

Philip looked at Shimmy with a dumb face...

"You are an idiot. Aren’t you? I have seen a lot of idiots in my time. But you, sir are the biggest of them all."

"You fucking..." Shimmy’s subordinate almost screamed at Philip, but Shimmy stopped him.

"You are a bloody strategist for gods sake... just how? I am rooting for Sam’s victory, and even i feel sorry for you. How could you even fall for such an obvious plan. Are you out of your mind? Did your mother drop you when you were a child. Are you a few brain cells short..."

Sam stopped Philip.

"Alright, I know you are pissed. But you are dragging the dialogue too much. The whole scene will become boring if you drag it on any longer."

"No, I am not done... Let me give this dumbass a piece of my..."

Watt just sealed his mouth and dragged him to the back.

Shimmy just smiled and turned to look at another person.

"Abhi. Didn’t expect that you would be battling. Is your father okay with this? Are you sure you can be here?"

"I am from hastin village. I am fighting by rules, and its my job to protect my village. So, I need not ask his permission."

"Oh, I thought you were not at the frontline because Parth didn’t want to lose his one and only son."

"No, I am not at the frontline because, Divine Plane initiation war hasn’t begun yet. One that happens, I will be sure to butcher every single of the alliance members in Initiation with my own hands. You will see plenty of me in action."

Abhi, son of Parth, looked calm and collected even when he gave death threats.

"You are just like your father when he was young. You might even be a tad bit more aggressive."

"Enough everyone. We are playing."

Sam took out the Divine Chessboard and put it on a stone table.

Sam and Shimmy sat on either side...

"You are going to see something amazing Sam. You are too used to being the smartest person in the room and you won’t be anymore...I will beat you at your own game." Shimmy is too confident...

"From the very first move, you will understand, how wrong you are..."

Shimmy took the lead and moved his pawn. Sam challenged with a pawn on his own.

The battlefield emerged between the two pawns. From Sam’s side, it was Parth’s son Abhi. He stood there with a bow in his hands and the opposing side is one of the strongest fighters of that generation.

Abhi didn’t even bother opening his eyes...

The opponent took out two twin daggers and charged at Abhi, ready to finish the fight...

Abhi, took a deep breath as he pulled the bowstring. Energy gathered in his bow...but it didn’t conjure into an arrow.

As the opponent closed the distance, Abhi let go of the bow string....

*TUNG*

With a loud reverberating noise, a burst of energy rippled out from the bow.

The opponent got hit with it and crashed on the ground, spitting blood out of his mouth.

His mind was in chaos...and his body’s blood and spiritual energy circulation are

Then came the arrow, straight into his head...

First exchange...Shimmy lost.

Sam looked at Shimmy and said...

"You know Shimmy, this chess game is actually a strategy game indeed. If you are playing by standard chess rules. Or in this case, if the opponents on either side has equally strong individual prowess.

But the thing is, my friends and I...when we fight people on the same level as us, on an equal footing, we win by landslide. Turns out hastin village fighters are the same...

So, right now, it doesn’t matter how strategic you are, all your team members are gonna get their asses handed to me. Until you remain as the last piece, you cannot control anything that’s gonna happen."

Shimmy suddenly felt stumped...

He accounted for everything..except for the individual competence...

And then Shimmy had to witness, one candidate after the other getting slaughtered, by Sam’s friends, and even his beasts...that’s what he used to fill up the rest of the empty spaces..

Shimmy tried to use his own piece, the king to move and do some damage...but Sam just easily avoided getting into direct confrontation...until the king was the only one left.

And then Shimmy’s turn finally came.

And surprisingly, it was Abhi who first came across Shimmy...

Abhi for the first time saw Shimmy in a new light.

"I never knew you to be a man to show your emotions on your face...its too lost. You always seemed like you had the answer."

Shimmy sighed and looked at Abhi

"Just leave this kid. Just give this fight up and leave. I am too frustrated right now and I don’t want to take it out on you."

"You know I am not backing down. A perfect opportunity to fight one of my father’s rivals on a equal footing. I would be a fool to turn this down."

"Your wish then."
