Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3634: Best Session Yet

Chapter 3634: Best Session Yet

With the speed improvement from using a Yin root that was no longer affected by his body, Alex had managed to improve his cultivation speed higher than when he had first prepared his baseline.

In a way, with how every test had included the better Yin root, this should technically be his true baseline test.

When Alex got the result, he couldn’t help but stare at the result with a light chuckle in his voice.

It was such an improvement.

At the lowest, the score he received was 1722, a nearly 400 increase from his previous baseline.

At the highest, he had received 2867, when his previous had been 2154.

"That’s a bigger gap between low and high than before. Does this have something to do with the swingy nature of the Yin and Yang roots when cultivated together?" Alex wondered.

Whether it was or not, neither of those numbers were as important as the actual average score, which was what he had to rely on anyway.

And the number he scored there was 2248.

Alex couldn’t help but want to laugh out loud at the number he received. He had nearly deluded himself into thinking that using only two roots was much better on average so long as he was using the pill.

However, with his score now being nearly 500 points higher than both his baseline and the two Supreme Roots, he could only imagine that was not the case in the slightest. Now, Alex wanted to test his baseline but using pills once again.

He immediately ate a pill and started cultivating again. He felt the speed at which his body improved, pushing closer and closer to another breakthrough. He could feel it. Either by the end of this session, or the end of the next one, he would break through.

Alex focused on the cultivation more than he did on figuring out the speed or rate of improvement and just continued. Two months later, when he was on the verge of a breakthrough, he barely stopped for a moment to look at the scores.

As soon as he saw them, he closed his eyes again and continued.

His next session of cultivation lasted for just 10 more days when he finally broke past the bottleneck and reached the next cultivation realm.

He finally broke through to the Immortal Transcendent 4th realm.

Alex continued cultivating past that as he consolidated his new cultivation base, and finally took the free time to go through the score he had previously received. He had been worried that had he started focusing on the numbers too much, he may end up affecting his cultivation somehow by overthinking many things.

By not dwelling on it to begin with, he saved himself from that hassle.

But now, he had to go through it.

This time around, his scores looked rather impressive, if he were to be honest.

His lowest score this time was already a staggering 9522. That was nearly his average score for his baseline test, so that alone was enough to tell Alex just how improved his cultivation speed had been.

The highest score was higher than his baseline, of course, but it was not a number as absurd as the 71 thousand he had received when using the two pills. Instead, it was high, but within the range of expectation, at a score of 23573.

And finally, for the most important of the three scores, Alex had gained an average score of 18,245. That alone was higher than his highest score from his baseline test when he had used a pill.

It was no wonder Alex’s cultivation speed had been so high with an average score that was nearly twice as large as his lowest score. It was so big that it was just a few thousand scores below his highest score, so Alex could tell that he had a steady cultivation session with very few ups and downs.

If he could keep the state of his Yin root the same going forward, that would be an incredible thing. But Alex was beginning to gain the idea that he might end up with the spirit root reverting back to its original self where his body affected it once again.

If that were to happen, he would once again have to spend most of his gathered Primordial energy. However, that was where the main issue lay at this point.

Despite it having been more than a decade since he last used all of his Primordial energy, he had only gained a measly amount in return. He was further away from the people that actually believed in him, so the amount of energy he received thanks to that was practically a drop every year or so.

Alex wasn’t so against the idea of waiting a few decades to use it on his spirit root again should the current situation revert, but the thing that worried him in that situation was that the future was not determined at all.

He was the Sun God at the moment to a few people, so he was gaining Primordial energy as their god, albeit in trickles. But when the Fire God finally arrived here and asked for his revenge, there was nothing else he could do but watch as his status as a half-god was stripped away from him.

That made Alex sigh in worry. As he finished consolidating his new cultivation base, he was stuck in between whether he should just continue his cultivation session as he already was and push through the next few realms to be as strong as he could before the Fire God returned. With the state of his Yin root, that was the best thing to do.

However, Alex decided not to. The tests he was going to perform weren’t going to be just for him, but for everyone else as well. As such, he needed a proper Yin spirit root to research all of that, which was what he decided would be the better usage of his time before the Fire God arrived.

Having determined that, Alex moved on to the next stage of his tests.
