Chapter 3734: Helen’s Success

Fang Xianhai was of two minds when it came to what Alex had just said.

It was entirely possible that Alex was lying to him, in which case Fang Xianhai had to go along with what he was told without questioning it. Or, Alex really had learned 8 different Daos in the span of a few months, all because he had been given the opportunity to learn them all.

In either case, all Fang Xianhai could do was accept Alex’s words and leave. Nothing he could say or do would help him here.

"Congratulations, Brother Dawnblade," Xianhai said after a few seconds. "I accept defeat."

Alex smiled gently. "You didn’t do that bad either, Brother Xianhai. Learning a new Dao, even if just one, isn’t bad at all. In fact, many would hope for that alone."

Xianhai smiled and nodded, but he said nothing else on that matter. "I shall be leaving then," he said. "Take care, Brother Dawnblade. We may meet again in the future."

Alex nodded and watched the man leave.

Fang Xianhai walked a short distance away and was about to fly when he suddenly sensed something, causing him to look up toward the sky.

It wasn’t just him. Everyone around the place, including the cultivators who were about to enter the site, was stopped by what they sensed, forced to turn toward the sky.

Alex, Liz, and Ronron’s eyes moved up as well as they sensed the swirling of energy in the sky, threatening to come down.

Liz raised an eyebrow. "Is that... Worldly Laws?" she asked, staring at the sky.

"Yes, it is," Alex said as he sensed it. Beyond just the laws, he could sense even the exact laws that were being learned.

"How is it so strong?" Ronron asked, unable to understand. She had learned many Daos before, including Greater Daos, and she could not remember any of her Daos being this strong.

"What sort of Dao could this be?" Liz asked.

"It’s a True Dao," Alex said finally, causing everyone to turn around and look at him, including Fang Xianhai, who heard him speak.

The man turned around, despite having already said his farewell, and spoke up in surprise. "Are you saying someone is learning a True Dao in there?" he asked.

"They are," Alex said.

Xianhai’s eyes narrowed. "May I ask how you can tell?"

"I know this exact same Dao," Alex answered. "This is the True Metal Dao."

Xianhai blinked. "Is it?" he asked, focusing back on the sky.

Now that he was sensing it, there indeed were some Metal Daos, but they were mixed together with other Daos he did not know about, so it became hard to spot the exact thing.

He looked back toward Alex, now learning that one of the 2 True Daos Alex had belonged to Metal.

"True Dao," Ronron said with a blank expression, which quickly turned to excitement. "Do you think it’s Grandma?"

Alex nodded slowly. "That’s a definite possibility."

Inside the room with the bronze lion, the Worldly Laws slowly descended to where Helen was. Her attempt at learning the Daos had taken her much longer than just a week or two, mostly because instead of learning a Dao at a time, she had learned bits and pieces of them to accumulate enough understanding to learn them all at once.

The amount she had learned was enough to let her stay, and now, she was using the opportunity to fully learn all of the Daos in the room.

However, since she was learning so many at once, she had ended up understanding more than she had expected to, and that had been enough for the Heavens to give her the push that was needed for her to learn the True Metal Dao.

Helen sat with her eyes closed, her current self completely oblivious to the commotion she was creating. Several eyes in the room stared directly at her, and she had not noticed a single one.

For the next few hours, the commotion kept on, as the Worldly Laws spent their time around Helen. At the same time, Helen cultivated as well. Improving one’s cultivation base while inside the Worldly Laws was always a great way to advance.

Helen didn’t manage to break through, but she came close to reaching the next realm, which was the Immortal Origin 6th realm. Once she left, she could spend a few weeks in cultivation and reach that realm.

What was important was the information that drilled itself into her mind, giving her knowledge of 2 other Daos that she hadn’t managed to learn all on her own.

Those were the Dao of Magnetism and the Dao of Rust.

Beyond that, she had learned the rest of the Daos within the True Metal Dao, for a total of 7 different Daos learned at the same time.

When the Worldly Laws retreated back to where they came from, Helen finally opened her eyes and looked around the place. The metal statue before her became so much easier to understand now.

She finally noticed the several eyes in the room and gave a faint smile.

She stood up quickly. "My apologies," she said. "I didn’t mean to disturb your session."

The people had no idea how to respond to such an apology. They merely looked away.

A voice spoke in her mind at the same time.

"Congratulations on learning the Daos. Here are your rewards."

Several stars appeared before Helen, causing her to blink in surprise. She counted them all quickly and found that there were more than 1600 stars before her. That was more than she could have ever imagined earning in this place.

"You may leave."

Helen followed the directive of the voice and walked out of the room, but not before apologizing to the group one more time.

Happiness and satisfaction filled her every being, including her steps, as she made her way out of the trial site. It had been a long time since she felt this way.
