Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3749: Plan

Chapter 3749: Plan

The new group that came consisted of over 20 people. Alex had a lot of confidence in his own skills, and that required him to understand where he was limited with them. He was already pushing himself by slowing time for those who were there and causing them inconvenience. To do it for 20 more people would likely make the slowed time not be as effective.

So, he let go of the Dao, letting time return to normal.

No one even noticed that Alex had done any of that. They didn’t even notice the Time aura to begin with.

"Is something special happening here? Why are all of you gathered?" the apparent leader of the new group said.

"Brother Langmi," someone called out.

Several others turned and bowed toward him as well.

Alex looked toward the man and found him to be not as strong as one would imagine a leader to be. It was a man barely in the Immortal Transcendent realm like him. But somehow, the people’s reactions told Alex that they either thought he was strong, or he had strong influence.

Whatever it was, Alex had no intention of letting this continue.

"Alright, I think I’ve done all I can at this point, so I’m just going to come out and say it to you all," he said, looking through all the people gathered there. "I know you are trying to go after my family, who is currently cultivating about 20 minutes that way. You think it’s a free star. I assure you, it is not a free star anymore."

The group looked toward each other, the newer ones trying to understand the situation. The older people understood a little better.

Wangju’s eyes narrowed slightly as he realized what Alex had come here for after all.

"You came here to stop us?" the newcomer Langmi said with an amused voice.

"Yes," Alex said. "I would appreciate it if you didn’t disturb them during their cultivation. If you want stars, I will bring them over to the canyon in 3 days’ time. At that point, I will let you challenge them as many times as you want. How does that sound?"

Wangju looked down in thought before slowly nodding. "That sounds fair. If that is the truth," he said.

"I have no reason to lie," Alex said. "I’m trying to get them to become better at fighting, so they will challenge or be challenged for a fight every single day. So just give me more time, and I will bring them right here."

Wangju seemed to accept it in the end, and slowly nodded. He was about to speak when the weaker Langmi stopped him.

"You are not the leader of our community," Langmi said. "I am. I make all the rules around here."

He turned toward Alex next. "People like you have no leverage to use against someone like me. Nothing you say will be happening. Instead, if they’re going to stop cultivating, they will have to do it right now, as we’ll be heading there right away."

Alex slowly turned toward the man, staring him directly in the eyes.

The young man looked to be a member of a sect of some sort based on an emblem on his chest. At his current cultivation base, to be higher in the hierarchy, he had to have a very strong Battle Power.

That, or he needed to have someone else who was more powerful.

Alex’s eyes roamed the 20-some people who had come along with the young man. As he searched through them, his eyes landed on a man who appeared to be hidden, so irrelevant that it was a surprise he was even noticed.

But Alex had noticed him, and he looked at the man.

"You know who I am, don’t you, Senior?" Alex asked the man. "You should control your junior before he gets himself hurt."

The young man Langmi narrowed his eyes. "Is that a threat?"

Alex ignored the young man, keeping his eyes on the Divinity hidden among the group. Considering how weak Langmi was, Alex had considered the possibility of there being a Sentinel involved. And he was right. The Divinity hid himself well, but he couldn’t hide from Alex’s Demon Eyes.

The Divinity looked at Alex directly, doing nothing to hide himself.

"3 days?" he asked finally.

"3 days," Alex answered.

"Very well."

Alex heard nothing more from the Divinity as he seemed to communicate with Langmi directly through his senses.

"What? But I don’t—"

Langmi wanted to argue, but his words had been quickly cut off by the Divinity as he was forced to accept Alex’s offer. Langmi clearly didn’t want to, but he didn’t have a choice when his senior made the choice for them.

Langmi gritted his teeth and snorted. "Everyone, return. We’re not to disturb them anymore."

The several people there looked confused as to why they were agreeing, but since it was a command that had come from their leader, they could only agree.

Alex watched all 30 or so people return back toward the canyon where they came from and finally let out a sigh of relief. His head pulsed with a subtle sense of pain that hadn’t gone away even after it had been a while since he stopped using the Time Dao.

’I pushed myself a bit too much against that Spirit,’ Alex thought in the end, realizing what his mistake had been.

He needed some time to recover from that.

He finally left back to where the others were, arriving nearly 2 hours since he had left.

"Did anyone come by while I was gone?" Alex asked.

"None. It’s been peaceful," Battlesage said.

"I see."

He quickly explained the situation, telling them all about the community that had formed around the canyon and how they were to go challenge them all in 3 days’ time.

"All of them? Without any breaks?" Ronron asked.

"Until you have run out of Qi, you will not be taking any breaks at all," Alex said. "So, cultivate as much as you can for the next 3 days. Your training will become more intensive going forward."
