Chapter 3751: Challenging Divinity

Chapter 3751: Challenging Divinity

The Divinity was taken aback to see someone actually challenging him. There had been a few who did so at the start, but as they all realized how strong he was over time, they had stopped challenging him. By now, no one dared even think of challenging him, so Ronron’s challenge had come as a surprise.

"You’re challenging him?" Guo Langmi asked, letting out a snort. "Has no one told you how strong he is?"

Ronron didn’t look at him when replying. "I know how strong he is. It is simply a test for me."

The Divinity smiled. "You are free to try then. I will allow you to choose the challenge as well."

"A regular fight," Ronron chose.

"A regular fight it is," the Divinity said and moved away from the crowd.

Ronron followed him and stopped when they were a distance away.

"You may start whenever you want to."

Ronron nodded and began. She immediately started with the Greater Dao of Wind, as green aura surrounded her, giving her speed beyond what was normal. Adding that onto her movement technique, Ronron appeared as though she was skipping through space with each step she took.

Within seconds, she was circling around the Divinity at such a speed that the regular watchers couldn’t even follow her properly. They started realizing that Ronron might actually be stronger than what she had shown until now.

The Divinity remained still, waiting for Ronron to make her first attack.

Her first attack came in the form of a spray of wind feathers that appeared around her, flying toward the man in a volley.

The man waved his arm, creating a small barrier before him that stopped each attack.

Ronron had expected as much. She used her other attacks, going through them all as though one of these would do the trick. When nothing worked, she could only use one of her strongest attacks.

Thunder rang from the palm of her hand as she shot out a bolt of molten white that struck the Divinity. The Divinity merely reached out with his finger, tapping on the incoming bolt of lightning.

The lightning stopped and faded away.

The watchers gasped in surprise. Not everyone knew that the man was a Divinity, so they were beyond surprised at how easily the attack had been stopped. Only a few actually knew the man’s cultivation base.

Ronron frowned, realizing her attack had been stopped so easily. She had hoped that her new Dao, the Dao of Paralysis, would’ve done something. But from the look on the man’s face, it hadn’t even affected him.

Ronron frowned. She had immediately started with her second strongest attack, and somehow that hadn’t worked at all. She frowned for a second, wondering if she should use her strongest skill, but she decided she didn’t want to.

It was unlikely that would do much against this man anyway. And it would only be giving away her identity.

Ronron sighed and gave up.

"You did well," the Divinity said. "For someone who’s still in the Immortal Origin realm, I can see that you have a bright future ahead of you. If you don’t belong to a big sect or family, consider joining our Golden Bell Sect."

Ronron bowed politely. "Thank you."

"Oh, are you done?" Liz asked. "If so, I will be fighting next."

Ronron moved aside. "Go on ahead."

Liz challenged the Divinity next, and the Divinity obliged.

This time, he was more surprised by Liz than he was by Ronron. With Ronron, he had been able to notice her movement as it had been slow enough for his eyes to follow. But whatever it was that Liz was doing made it impossible for him to track her with his eyes alone.

She was unbelievably fast, and none of it felt as if it were due to a movement technique or a Dao he understood. It was quite strange.

The Divinity barely saw an attack coming before it was right next to him. He raised his arm and blocked the sword strike with his palm.

Liz clicked her tongue, moving back and around, trying for a different attack. The man stopped it again, but this time he was showing quite a bit of curiosity on his face. He had never expected someone to come close to surprising him in this secret realm, and he stood corrected.

Liz had the speed, but she didn’t have the strength in the slightest. She tried her best, but in the end, none of her attacks did anything to the Divinity, so she had to stop as well.

Once Liz gave up, the Divinity made an offer once again.

"Our Golden Bell Sect could really use some fine cultivators like you two. Please consider joining us," he said.

Helen and Battlesage were both busy in their challenges, so the Divinity got a bit of respite. Not that he needed it. However, Helen completed her challenge first, mostly by failing it, so she was free to challenge the Divinity next.

She did, and the man accepted.

"The others have surprised me quite a bit," he said. "What can you show me?"

Unfortunately, unlike the other two, Helen didn’t have much she could do. She tried her best, and it wouldn’t have been enough for an Immortal Spirit realm cultivator, let alone a Divinity.

The Divinity was disappointed by the end when he realized that Helen was nothing special. She was just an average cultivator who could fight an average battle.

Alex was free next, but he chose to let Battlesage go up first.

As soon as the old man finished his challenge, he immediately jumped on the opportunity to challenge the Divinity.

Now disappointed from the last challenge, the Divinity could only shrug as a man who looked far too old to be an Immortal decided to challenge him. "Sure, if you want to, we can fight."

"Good," Battlesage said. "I won’t hold back, so be ready."

The Divinity didn’t think much of the old man’s warning at all, but when the first punch landed on his face, he understood that he was wrong to ignore it.
