Chapter 3786: Strong Attack

Chapter 3786: Strong Attack

When the poison took effect, Alex let it do so because being poisoned and in pain was a good way to get the man to waste time and not attack him. Alex was fully intending on doing just that while, internally, he slowly got rid of the poison as well.

His Undying Body could likely help him survive even without that, but it would use so much energy, which Alex didn’t want to waste. Why should he waste Qi to survive the poison when he could purge it from his body and gain Qi from it? It was a win-win situation.

So, while he partially dealt with the poison, he left just enough of it in his body that he could put on the effect of being poisoned.

Alex could tell that the man wasn’t directly connected to the poison through his Creation, or else he would’ve realized.

The poison was a Divine rank poison, so when he purged it, Alex gained an incredible amount of Immortal Qi, which was what it automatically turned into. There was just so much Qi that Alex gained from that poison that he needed to make use of it quickly.

A good way to use such an absurd amount of Qi would usually be to cultivate, but unfortunately for Alex, this was not the time. He needed another way to use the Qi, or else it would all be wasted.

As Alex considered his options, he gained an idea.

’I’ve seen others do it before through artifacts or special techniques,’ he thought. ’And while I don’t know the exact technique they use, I do know the general method.’

As he thought so, Alex began doing something that he had never tried doing before inside his body.

He began compressing the absurd amount of Qi he had gained.

He compressed the Qi in his Dantian, forcing it beyond what was normal for him. The quality of his Qi quickly improved, making it good enough that a person who sensed him would believe that he was in the Immortal Spirit realm.

And still, Alex kept condensing it more and more.

On the outside, he stood with blood leaking out of his mouth, while his bloodshot eyes stared at the Divinity. The Divinity spoke up, saying things that Alex could barely pay attention to.

On the inside, he put his entire concentration into condensing the Qi. There was so much effort required in this that his remaining Spiritual energy also rapidly depleted.

Soon, the strength of the condensed Qi reached beyond the threshold of Divine Qi, and Alex kept pushing it.

If his Spiritual energy had been any weaker, it might not have been possible at all, but since its strength was at the Divine Creation 9th realm, it allowed Alex to condense his Qi until it approached the same strength as well.

Alex saw the man prepare to end it all, and at the same time, he was too.

He grinned, causing the man to hesitate.

Then he held his sword to his side, suddenly causing it to glow bright white with Sword Qi that condensed around it. As it did, the bright light lengthened as well, becoming nearly three times as long as the sword.

The man understood that Alex was doing something and immediately used his Creation to form a large golden attack that he was ready to attack with.

Alex wasted not a single other second. The condensed Qi inside his Dantian that had now reached the Divine Creation 9th realm suddenly flooded out of his body and into the sword.

His meridians were tough and robust, and even then, the Qi destroyed them on the way out. It was a good thing that he had only wanted the Qi and had not tried to use any techniques instead. Had he done that, his entire body might have been destroyed.

As the Divine Qi filled Alex’s sword, the aura it created produced an immediate pressure all around him. Unlike an actual Divinity, Alex had no control over this Qi except that he kept it as condensed as possible. As such, it let out a constant aura that seemed to want to trample anything and everything in its path.

The several Immortals sitting in the sand suddenly gasped as they felt their breath catch in their lungs. The pressure was so strong that they could hardly breathe. Even the female Divinity watched with dumbfounded eyes as she stared at the glowing sword Alex held in his hand.

The man who actually fought Alex was the worst of all. He could only stare in awe, forgetting his own attack. He belatedly remembered and launched the metal attack, at which point Alex attacked too.

There was no technique to this except for pure Qi and Sword Heart mixed into one. The only thing Alex did to ensure the man didn’t run away was condense the space between him and the man until he was at melee range.

Then Alex swung his sword.

The man haphazardly used a defensive technique, but it was instantly burst apart by Alex’s attack that then landed on the man.

An explosion of Qi blew out at the moment of contact, sending a shockwave flying through the region. Alex was hit by the shockwave before he could even recover from his attack and was thrown back with such force that several of his ribs broke upon impact.

He flew through the barren land until he struck a small dune to the side and was buried halfway deep into it. He lay buried in the sand long enough, letting the ringing in his head become quiet before coming out to check on the situation.

The female Divinity stood before the Immortals, protecting them from the shockwave. If not for her, several of them would be injured, if not dead.

Alex then turned his head toward the Divinity who had taken it head-on.

The man lay on the ground far away, beaten and bloody. He had thoroughly and utterly lost the battle.
