Chapter 3799: 20 Years
Alex prepared for his closed cultivation session.
He had Ronron be his eyes and ears for outside of the room, while everyone else chose to either stay inside the Soul Space for the next many years or remain outside. Not everyone was keen on spending years and years inside a place where time already moved slowly, on top of Alex himself moving slowly as well.
The difference compounded, making it so that for a single True minute Alex stayed on top of the active formation plate, hundreds of minutes would have passed for someone in the central area of the Soul Space.
As such, one had to be very careful when they chose where they wanted to be.
Whisker was the only one who didn’t really have a choice since he needed to take care of everything inside of the Soul Space. But because he wanted to cultivate in his free time anyway, he was fine with being there.
"Don’t worry, Father. I will let you know as soon as the Artifact God calls for you," Ronron said, making Alex a little relieved. At least he wouldn’t miss out on her call.
Once everything was prepared, Alex entered closed cultivation.
For the time being, he wanted to be in closed cultivation for a single year, which meant he would be cultivating non-stop for close to 20 years.
As Alex began cultivating, he didn’t really sense anything different about the cultivation session at all. Despite the slowed time, everything went just as smoothly as it always did. Nothing immediate caught Alex’s attention, so he continued cultivating without much of a problem.
It was only a week later that he first recognized the issue. It was an issue that plagued the central area of his Soul Space as well, which caused the people cultivating in it to constantly leave the area, move out, and rest.
It was the fact that because only this region had time moving differently from the region outside of it, the Qi from the outside didn’t replenish it as quickly as it would’ve under a normal scenario. As such, Alex needed to use various elemental treasures to help him.
Once he prepared those treasures around him, cultivation became easier once again. He would have to replace them every so often, but Alex was perfectly fine with doing that.
His cultivation session after that went smoothly, having no need to stop at all. He cultivated for a whole year, and then another. In between cultivation, when he had too much energy, he helped add energy to his remaining 3 Origins as well, so he could push them closer to completion.
It would take a while before they were fully complete, but Alex wouldn’t really need to push them all the way before he could break through to the next realm. At the same time, he also started absorbing more blood aura into his Blood Origin, helping it reach maturity as well. It was already close to four-fifths done, so he might as well complete it now.
After cultivating for 5 years in total, Alex took a small break to consider everything that was happening to him.
It was a strange feeling he had every time he realized that only 3 months had passed on the outside, instead of the 5 years he had spent inside. Unlike others, he never really got to enjoy cultivating this way, so he took full advantage of it.
The issue of the lack of Qi was quite big, and even with the treasures he used, it wasn’t fully taken care of. The treasures took a while to fill the region with Qi, so overall, it was slower than his regular cultivating sessions.
But considering the difference in time, it was still a massive improvement, and he could not complain in the slightest.
After the brief respite, Alex started again, and this time he cultivated without a break for the next 15 years. As he cultivated for 20 years in total, a single year passed outside.
A single year was nothing to an Immortal. But 20 years was significant. Along with this and all the times he had cultivated while he was still in the Red Heaven Realm, Alex had now reached close to being halfway done with the Immortal Transcendent 6th realm.
With just another year or so of cultivation, he would likely reach the next realm.
He couldn’t wait for it, so he resumed cultivating again.
The cultivation session went smoothly for another 6 or so years before he was notified by Ronron. The Artifact God had apparently left her closed cultivation and sought him now.
Over a year had passed in the outside world, and while Alex wanted to continue cultivating, meeting with the Artifact God was much more important to him.
So, he stopped cultivating, stopped the formation to save up its effects, and then left to go find the Artifact God.
The woman waited for him back in the guest house. She didn’t show much emotion at Alex’s presence and simply gestured for him to follow her.
Alex thought he was being led back into the house so they could chat in the hall, but to his surprise, there was another region behind the house with a relatively large building that wasn’t easily visible from where he had been standing before.
As Alex entered, he immediately realized that they had come into an Artifact Master’s workshop.
"What is this place?" he asked with some surprise in his voice.
"It’s the workshop we will be working in," the Artifact God said.
"Is it unique to just this place?" Alex couldn’t help but ask since the other place didn’t have this.
"This is the Artifact Master’s guest house, so there is bound to be a workshop for that here. The Alchemist guest house had an alchemy room as well. Just like the Formation Master guest house has another formation room."
"Huh! I wasn’t aware," Alex said, looking around. "Does this mean you’ll teach me now, Senior?"
The Artifact God nodded and turned around.
"I will, but first, tell me what you understand of the inheritance."
