Chapter 3884: True Water Dao
Outside the courtyard in the Sky God’s palace, several people had noticed the unusual behavior of the Worldly Laws as well. What had nearly left before had settled back down in the same place. Most of those who understood that this was the Water Dao were certain that whoever it was had already learned the Dao.
In which case, they couldn’t understand what was keeping the Worldly Laws there.
If the person were learning two Daos instead of just one, the Worldly Laws wouldn’t have left until they were done. So, this caught the attention of more than just a few people out there.
Several of the Gods had nothing else to do, so they focused their attention on the Worldly Laws. A few of them had even managed to realize where this was happening. Quite a few people had guessed that it was Alex as well.
Though, not a single one of them had proof.
Bladedance sensed the Worldly Laws and wondered what Alex was doing trying to learn Water laws. Since he was bound to compete against the Fire God relatively soon, it would make much more sense to try the Yang Daos.
After all, what could he do with Water Daos?
But of course, she trusted Alex enough to know that whatever he was doing, he had thought things through before doing it. Once Bladedance understood that much, she returned to her cultivation session.
The Artifact God was halfway done with forming the robe when she sensed the commotion outside. She located the region where it was happening and couldn’t help but wonder if Alex was a part of it. If he was, she wondered what he was trying to do instead of fixing his missing Blood Essence.
Though, she soon thought about his missing resources and wondered if this was his way of working around it.
Her eyes narrowed slightly in thought, considering the option. "Isn’t it a waste of time, though?" she wondered out loud to herself.
She couldn’t imagine how long it would take someone to learn a Dao. Since it generally took more than a few years, she couldn’t help but assume that he had wasted his time. However, with the lack of resources, she felt there wasn’t much else he could do either.
The Artifact God eventually decided that he hadn’t done anything wrong and soon returned her focus to finishing the robe. It was coming along quite well, and with the various ways she had refined the nine spools of thread formed from the Three-Legged Crow, she could already imagine what incredible things she was going to make happen with the robe.
Just the thought of making something this incredible made her wonder if she could surpass her master in any way. She doubted the Fire God would use his Crown this time around, but if he did, she could make some comparisons.
She wanted nothing more than to prove to the world that she had surpassed her master. That way, wherever he was now, he would be proud.
For over 2 hours, the Worldly Laws remained around Alex once again, allowing him to cultivate at a speed that he himself hadn’t really considered before. The lack of resources had brought along a desperation that forced him to do this, and through this, he understood that he may have wasted all the other times he had learned a Dao.
Had he known the speed of cultivating while learning a Dao was this incredible, he would have done so long before. No one else had taught it to him either.
Though, for most people, such a situation was one of suspense. More than that, they were usually under a trance where they could hardly keep enough of their wits about them to try and cultivate. It was rare for one to learn a Dao with a fresh mind.
Alex barely kept his right now, which was why he was figuring this out.
Alex successfully learned the Dao of Drying as well. In the span of 5 hours, he was done learning 2 Daos. And because the final Dao was something he was close to understanding as well, the Worldly Laws attempted to force the information into him.
However, Alex resisted.
Instead of taking the easy way out and gaining the information directly, he went searching for it on his own, extending the time during which the Worldly Laws would remain near him for much longer.
Compared to the other two times, this one turned out to be much more difficult than before. Heaven practically force-fed him the information, and he had to make sure to chew through it slowly so that he didn’t finish the entire meal in seconds.
Even though Alex tried to extend it, however, he could only do so for a little over an hour. At the end of it, he learned the Dao of Cleansing as well.
The moment he learned the third and final remaining Dao of the Water Dao, the Worldly Laws around him became stronger, increasing in aura to such a degree that the entire palace could tell what he had done.
"A True Dao?"
Those words spread from the lips of every God, Sage, and Reverend out there, their surprise understandable. A True Dao was not something anyone could learn easily at all. And given that this was the True Water Dao, no one there had yet learned it at all.
The only one who had done that was perhaps Hannah. She had done her best to learn all the Water Daos before leaving the lower realm, so she had fully understood the True Water Dao, which she sensed that Alex had now learned as well.
The moment the Worldly Laws recognized it, Alex felt the intensity of the aura around him increase to a degree that made everything that came before pale in comparison.
The speed of his cultivation increased to a point where he could not waste a single second of it. So, he immediately forced every part of himself to speed up his cultivation so he could make use of all of it.
