Chapter 3904: Robe Blood Refining

Chapter 3904: Robe Blood Refining

Alex spent the next year and a half either trying to learn the Dao of Radiance or improving his sword skills with Swiftslash.

For the Dao of Radiance, he used the formation to increase the amount of time he could spend on it. It was still going to take him years to focus on it fully and learn the Dao, but any amount of improvement was acceptable at this point in time.

For his sword skills, he had no method of actually improving them overall. Sadly, sword skills were based on Intent, which itself was tied to one’s Spiritual Energy. As a result, until Alex could increase his Spiritual Energy, there was no way for him to improve the power of his sword skills.

The understanding, however, was a different matter entirely.

Alex didn’t spend his time trying to make his attacks stronger, but instead used it to try and understand Dao Sword better. He already understood what his first Dao Sword was going to be.

It was going to be something involving Yang Heat to make his Sword Qi hotter in general and maybe have it aid his True Immolation Strike technique. He had also thought of adding his Sun Fire at the same time, but was told in explicit terms that he would struggle to form any Dao Sword in time if he did so.

According to Swiftslash, whose words Bladedance later confirmed, the more singular a Dao one was adding to their Sword Intent, the easier it would be to form a Dao Sword. Adding Yang Heat to Sword Qi would be easier, and adding Sun Fire to it on its own would be easy as well.

However, doing both at the same time would require a level of work that they didn’t believe Alex had the time for, even if they believed he had the talent for it.

As a result, he could only choose one to form, which, after some thought, Alex decided would be Yang Heat. Compared to Sun Fire, Yang Heat was an actual Dao, so it would make it easier to combine.

And at this point, Alex didn’t have the time to do anything else.

He slowly learned how to form a Dao Sword during the year and a half, and while he improved tremendously, he still hadn’t fully combined the Dao and the Sword into one. It would take far more training on his end.

Though that would have to be paused for some time, as Alex was needed elsewhere.

Shen Yaojia’s message that his robe was close to completion came at that time, and Alex had to make his way there immediately.

Alex couldn’t feel any changes in the atmosphere while the robe was being made. This was unlike Nightslayer’s creation, when he had been told the day had gotten unusually hot despite it being winter. This time around, he sensed nothing of the sort.

Either the robe had been unable to create any omens, or Shen Yaojia had done that good of a job keeping the aura from leaking.

Alex arrived at her courtyard and was immediately brought inside. As soon as Alex walked in, he could sense a strong Yang aura emanating throughout the surroundings, but compared to the time when he made Nightslayer, the intensity was downright pathetic.

He walked ahead and saw the Artifact God concentrating over a fully yellow robe with patches of white throughout it, no doubt made by the Heavenly Silkworm.

"You’re here," she said in a strained voice. "Come to the front. I will need your help any minute now."

Alex nodded and quickly walked to the front. As he did, he saw the robe more clearly, and this time around, he saw the white patches and what they looked like.

Suns.

Bright white suns were embroidered into the otherwise yellow robe.

Alex looked around the robe. There were two suns near the shoulder area, two suns on the biceps, two suns on either side of the robe near his waist, and two more near the ends of his sleeves.

Altogether, there were a total of 8 different suns.

He tried to look through the robe a little more, but because of whatever the Artifact God was doing with her Qi inside the robe, it was keeping his Spiritual Sense from looking through it completely. So he simply had to wait and watch.

After some time, the Artifact God took a deep breath.

"Right here," she said with bated breath. "Bleed on it."

Alex wasted no time. He extended his right palm, Sword Qi immediately surrounding it as it took the shape of a sword, and with that sword, he directly cut through his left arm.

Blood spilled from his cut arm, spraying down onto the robe and staining it.

Slowly, the blood seeped into the robe, beginning to color it fully red. Alex was worried the red would remain, but the robe absorbed it, returning the outside to how it had been with yellow and white.

The red did remain, but only on the inside.

The new color gave the robe a level of contrast that it required to stop looking so one-dimensional.

Alex suddenly felt a deep connection form between him and the robe before him, to the point where he sensed something forming inside it.

At first, Alex believed this was the formation of the Nascent Spirit that would live inside the robe, but to his surprise, the Spirit continued to grow.

The Artifact God slowly lifted her hands once that happened and let out a deep sigh.

"It’s done," she said, looking toward Alex with a beaming smile on her face. "Your robe is complete."

Alex looked down at the robe with wide eyes, less at what he could see and more at what he could feel.

He could feel a stronger intelligence inside the robe, stronger than it should have been.

At that point, he was confident that the Spirit inside the robe had just now fully matured.
