Chapter 3105: It’s Inevitable
Date: Unspecified
Time: Unspecified
Location: Myriad Realms, Lil’ Red Storm Realm
Being launched across the void by an absurd amount of force, Thalorien found it difficult to regain control of his movement.
His enormous Frost Rule Incarnation continued shooting through void, tumbling uncontrollably as the force from Dalia’s punch carried him farther and farther away from the Lil’ Red Storm Realm. Normally, stopping himself would not have been particularly difficult.
The void surrounding a realm was filled with celestial bodies, asteroids, moons, and countless other objects whose gravitational fields could be exploited. Thalorien could borrow their gravitational pull to manipulate his trajectory or redirect his momentum and even turn Dalia’s attack against her or simply come to a halt.
But there was a problem. Every celestial body in the vicinity was under Dalia’s control. The moment he attempted to use one of their gravitational fields, it shifted. A passing asteroid moved slightly away from him. The gravity of a nearby celestial body changed just enough to ruin his calculations.
Even the drifting space rocks seemed determined to stay out of his reach. It was as though the entire section of the void had become hostile toward him. Thalorien’s expression darkened.
Left with little choice, he resorted to his Frost Rule. One after another, enormous glaciers appeared behind him. He deliberately created them directly along his trajectory before slamming into them with his massive body.
BOOM!
The first glacier shattered. It barely slowed him. Another appeared. Then another. And another. Each glacier was larger than his Frost Rule Incarnation, yet Thalorien tore through them one after another, converting enormous mountains of ice into storms of snow scattered across the void.
Only after crashing through an entire series of gigantic glaciers did his momentum finally begin to weaken. Eventually, his colossal body came to a halt.
Thalorien floated silently in the void. Then he slowly raised his head and looked toward the Celestial Treant. For the first time since arriving at the Lil’ Red Storm Realm, genuine dread appeared in his eyes. He immediately reached a decision to no longer engage in close combat, absolutely not.
Thalorien had always considered his Frost Rule Incarnation to be his ultimate technique. It was the culmination of his entire life. A body transformed into the vessel of an incomprehensible Frost Rule Stream with millions of Frost Rule Meanings.
And yet, he had only used this form twice. The first time was at Winter Valley and now. On both occasions, instead of demonstrating his overwhelming superiority, he had found himself on the receiving end of an unbelievable amount of violence.
The realization was becoming difficult to ignore. Thalorien had always looked down upon brute physical strength. In his eyes, physical prowess was crude. Why rely on muscles when Rules, Domains, and comprehension could achieve far more?
Unfortunately, reality appeared determined to beat that belief out of him. Quite literally. Still, it wasn’t as though he could simply decide to become physically stronger overnight.
The Snow Elven race simply wasn’t built for it. Their bloodline wasn’t meant for a physical power system. Their racial strengths lay in frost rule. Trying to compete with a monstrous existence like the Celestial Treant in physical strength would be like asking a snowflake to win an argument with a mountain.
Thalorien slowly steadied himself. His eyes remained fixed on Dalia. This time, however, he had learned his lesson. If he wanted to win, he would have to fight on his own terms. And under no circumstances would he allow that gigantic fist anywhere near his face again.
However, Thalorien had calculated wrong. The moment he stabilized his massive Frost Rule Incarnation, he felt an invisible force acting upon his body. He was being pulled back toward the Celestial Treant.
At first, Thalorien assumed it was merely the gravitational influence of one of the nearby celestial bodies. He immediately tried to adjust his trajectory, using his Frost Rule to create resistance against the pull.
It didn’t work. The pull only grew stronger. Thalorien’s expression darkened. He tried changing direction. The force followed. He attempted to counter it with the gravitational pull generated by his own massive incarnation. The celestial array formation suppressed it.
Only then did Thalorien fully understand. As long as he remained trapped within this celestial array formation, there was no escaping Dalia. She controlled the celestial bodies. She controlled their gravity. She controlled the void surrounding them. And now, the array formation itself had designated her as the center toward which he would inevitably be dragged. There was no running.
Thalorien stared at the approaching Celestial Treant. Then his eyes hardened. But that didn’t mean he would simply allow himself to be dragged toward her. If the array formation wanted to pull him toward Dalia, then he would use that pull. Instead of resisting the invisible force, Thalorien leaned into it.
His enormous body suddenly accelerated. Massive glaciers appeared before him. Each glacier served as a foothold, allowing the Frost Rule Incarnation to repeatedly launch itself forward through the void. The pull of the celestial array formation dragged him toward Dalia.
Thalorien turned that pull into acceleration. His enormous body became faster and faster. And faster. Behind him, an endless trail of frost erupted through the void. A colossal blizzard followed in his wake, swallowing everything behind him in a storm of snow and ice. Even the scattered remains of the glaciers he had previously destroyed were swept into the storm, transforming the void behind him into a raging river of frost.
Thalorien was charging directly at Dalia. Seeing this, a smile appeared on the Celestial Treant’s face.
The two suns positioned behind her immediately responded. Massive solar flares erupted from their surfaces. One after another, torrents of blazing solar fire crossed the void before gathering around Dalia’s enormous fist. The flames didn’t disperse. They condensed. Coiling around her hand. Layer upon layer of solar fire wrapped around her wooden fist until a gigantic flaming gauntlet formed around it. The surrounding void warped from the sheer heat.
