Chapter 2562: Chapter 2562: The Car Accident

Yu Qi left Shino’s body after talking to Long Hui about the charity program that she would be attending. She would depart for the site with other participants from her hospital. They would be meeting with other hospitals on the site.

Yu Qi did not want much attention on her. So, she told the bodyguards that she did not need them to follow her during this program. The bodyguards told her that they could leave her like that because that was their job. They also stated that Colonel Long would be displeased when he knew about that.

After going back and forth with the bodyguards, Yu Qi finally won with a compromise. One of the bodyguards would follow Yu Qi. Yu Qi tried to say that he would not have a place to stay, but he insisted. So, Yu Qi agreed to having a bodyguard around.

It was finally the day for departing for the village. There were several doctors and nurses from the Tang Private Hospital. They gathered in the space, at the unloading cargo space, waiting for the bus to come. One of them was Nurse Shin Teng.

"Hmm... It has been a while since I joined a charity program." Nurse Shin Teng said.

"When did you join?" Yu Qi asked.

"I think it was 5 years ago." Nurse Shin Teng thought about the time.

"Hmm... It is indeed a long time ago." Yu Qi said. "I heard you are volunteering."

"Hmm... One of the villages that we are going to visit is my hometown." Nurse Shin Teng said.

"Oh... I don’t know about that." Yu Qi was surprised.

She thought Nurse Shin Teng was someone from this area. She did not think that Nurse Shin Teng was from the rural village.

"Well... I don’t talk much about my hometown." Nurse Shin Teng smiled faintly.

Yu Qi could see that Nurse Shin Teng seemed to have something that she did not want to speak about.

"Well, it is like a school trip." Yu Qi laughed.

The bus and the cargo truck were finally here. The bus would carry the doctors and nurses, while the cargo truck would carry their equipment and the consumables that they would use during this program.

They rode the bus. Half an hour later, they finally departed. The trip would take about 3 hours. So, Yu Qi already decided to take a nap.

Nurse Shin Teng, who sat beside Yu Qi, was surprised when Yu Qi told her. But she did not think much about that. Because she did not want to disturb Yu Qi’s sleep. She changed her seat and chatted with another nurse.

"I thought you were sitting with Doctor Yu Qi." The nurse said.

"Well, I am indeed sitting with Doctor Yu Qi just now. But Doctor Yu Qi says she wants to sleep. I don’t want to bother her. So, I sit here." Nurse Shin Teng said.

"She is sleeping? It is morning." The nurse was surprised.

"Well, I don’t think it is weird. She is not only a doctor but a businesswoman. It is already tiring working in the hospital. She continued working in the office as well. Give her some slack." Nurse Shin Teng said.

Yu Qi continued sleeping until she woke up when the bus driver slammed the brakes harder until the bus completely stopped on the side of the road. The cargo truck behind the bus also stopped on the side of the road.

Everyone still did not know what happened making the bus driver to slam his brakes. One of the doctors stood up and went to ask the bus driver.

The truth finally came out. There was a massive road accident ahead. A car collided with another car. It seemed the accident had occurred just now.

"Let’s go and check the situation." The male doctor said.

"Call the ambulance first. Let’s see if we can help the victims." Yu Qi said.

So the driver of the bus called the ambulance and the police to report the accident. Yu Qi and several doctors approached the cars. When Yu Qi was approaching, she heard a faint voice asking for help. She knew the voices belonged to those people in the accident.

She rushed over to the first car. There was a couple. The woman was still conscious.

"Madam, can you hear me?" Yu Qi asked.

"Help... Help... My child..." The woman mumbled.

Hearing the word ’child’, Yu Qi looked at the back passenger seat. There was a child seat. The child was silent. That was not a good sign.

Yu Qi tried to open the door. So, it seemed the door was malfunctioning because of the impact.

"Doctor Yu Qi, let me help you open the door." A male doctor offered his help.

"It’s fine. You help the mother and the father first." Right after Yu Qi said that, she tore open the car door like she was tearing a piece of paper.

Everyone was dumbfounded by Yu Qi’s strength. Only after Yu Qi took the child out of the car did they help the mother and father out. Yu Qi was doing the CPR on the child. Luckily, the child gained consciousness. The child was crying.
