"Two kind-hearted strangers saved me." Tang Qin Hao explained. "Apparently, they happened to spot the criminals abducting me, trailed the getaway vehicle to their hideout, and pulled me out."

He paused, a look of genuine gratitude crossing his face. "I am really indebted to them."

Yu Qi lowered her gaze slightly to hide the amused gleam in her eyes before looking back up with an expression of deep relief.

"Thank goodness you are alright. You were incredibly lucky those strangers happened to see what occurred, otherwise..." Yu Qi let the sentence trail off ominously before frowning at him. "Did you inform Grandpa and the rest of the family?"

"No, there was no need." Tang Qin Hao shook his head.

"What?" Yu Qi scolded gently. "You definitely should inform them about something this serious, especially Auntie Su Xiao! She is always worrying about your safety."

"I know," Tang Qin Hao sighed. "I just didn’t want to cause an unnecessary panic when I’m already safe and sound."

"You still ought to tell them." Yu Qi insisted firmly.

"Fine, I will bring it up the next time I visit home." Tang Qin Hao finally conceded.

Yu Qi nodded in satisfaction, though she maintained her stern expression for effect. Being abducted by criminal operatives was hardly a minor inconvenience.

"Actually, I was planning to head back to the main residence soon." Tang Qin Hao took another bite of his sandwich.

"Back home?" Yu Qi asked.

"Hmm. It has been a while since I checked in on Grandpa and the family. Since my schedule finally cleared up, I thought I should spend a few days there." Tang Qin Hao explained.

"That’s a wonderful idea." Yu Qi smiled genuinely. "Grandpa will be thrilled to have you back."
