"Comprehend what? The secrets of cultivators?" Yu Qi challenged him smoothly, not backing down an inch.

Master Liang froze, genuinely shocked by her response. His eyes widened in temporary disbelief before he quickly forced himself to regain his cool demeanour. This woman probably only knows a few surface-level terms about cultivators because she’s hanging around the Ancestor, he reasoned bitterly.

He stole another quick glance at the Ancestor. Qin Xia merely stood off to the side, silently observing the entire confrontation without uttering a single word of intervention. That unreadable, terrifyingly calm expression on Qin Xia’s face made Master Liang feel increasingly uneasy.
