Chapter 2855: A Wolf Appears

Chapter 2855: Chapter 2855: A Wolf Appears

Dian Wan Ye took the pill, staring at it briefly before shifting her bewildered gaze back to the child.

"Your master is...?" Dian Wan Ye asked, thoroughly curious.

"Of course it’s her!" The small girl answered with a bright, proud smile, pointing her little finger directly toward Yu Qi.

Everyone turned to look at Yu Qi, their expressions a mix of awe and sheer disbelief. This woman had actually formed a contract with an ancient tree monster.

Not only that, but the tree monster had just consumed a live evil cultivator right in front of their very eyes.

"What on earth are you all doing?! Fight!" The dark-faced man roared furiously when he saw his subordinates standing there in a frozen daze.

His thunderous shout finally snapped the remaining evil cultivators back to reality. They realised they could not afford to stand around in dumbfounded shock. If they wanted any chance of surviving this ordeal, they had to defeat this formidable group of intruders first.

In an instant, their predatory gazes shifted entirely toward Yu Qi. In their eyes, Yu Qi was the single biggest threat on the field. If they could just eliminate her, the tree monster would become far easier to manage. Without its master to command it, they might even stand a chance at subjugating the terrifying creature for themselves.

Unfortunately, what they failed to anticipate was that there were two of the tree monsters.

Before the evil cultivators could even launch a coordinated assault toward Yu Qi, Xiaoliu’s massive branches suddenly shot forward like a dozen striking vipers. They wrapped tightly around a rushing evil cultivator’s waist, pinning his arms to his sides before hoisting him high off the ground.

"What the—?!" The unfortunate evil cultivator barely had time to let out a panicked shriek before Xiaoliu whipped his branches back and hurled the man through the air.

His body flew in a high arc straight toward Xiaohua.

Seeing a fresh meal delivered right to her doorstep, Xiaohua grinned sweetly, opened her oversized mouth, and caught the falling man in mid-air. In the briefest blink of an eye, the man vanished completely down her maw. He was not even granted enough time to struggle or scream!

The horrifying sight sent an icy chill cascading down the spines of the remaining evil cultivators. They had encountered plenty of ruthless opponents in their bloody lives, but they had never envisioned facing two ancient tree monsters that treated adult cultivators like lightweight snacks.

However, sheer terror alone was not going to grant them salvation.

They had already crossed the point of no return, and they knew all too well the gruesome fate that awaited them if they surrendered. So, despite the primal dread gnawing at their guts, they gritted their teeth, channelled their dark energy, and continued their desperate assault on Yu Qi and her allies.

Several evil cultivators lunged toward Yu Qi from multiple angles simultaneously. One charged straight at her chest with a heavy, energy-infused palm strike. Another swept in low from her flank, aiming a curved blade at her waist, while a third leapt high into the air, bringing a heavy iron club down toward her skull.

Yu Qi remained completely unfazed. She tilted her body slightly to the side, letting the linear palm strike miss her by a hair’s breadth. Simultaneously, she snapped her sword up to parry the curved blade coming from her left. The deafening clang of clashing steel echoed through the room as bright sparks showered the floorboards.

Before the airborne attacker could complete his overhead smash, Yu Qi fluidly pivoted on her heel and drove the heavy pommel of her sword straight into his sternum.

BANG!

The explosive impact sent him crashing back-first onto the wooden floor. Before he could even draw a breath to recover, one of the Dian Family members darted forward and finished him off with a decisive strike.

The main hall devolved into total, bloody chaos.

Furious battle cries and agonising shrieks echoed through the mansion. The rhythmic, sharp ringing of clashing weapons vibrated through the structure, while stray waves of spiritual energy obliterated furniture, sending splintered wood and dense dust billowing through the air. Cracks webbed across the marble floor, and the metallic stench of fresh blood grew heavy in the room.

The evil cultivators fought with the wild ferocity of cornered beasts, but Yu Qi’s team moved with cold, surgical precision, granting no quarter.

"You absolute motherfuckers! How dare you try to lay a finger on my master?!" Aoi let out a deafening, terrifying roar as she lunged at an evil cultivator who was attempting to sneak up on Yu Qi’s blind side.

The caught-off-guard villain barely managed to turn his head before Aoi’s massive, razor-sharp jaws snapped shut around his midsection.

CRACK!

He bit the man clean in half with one terrifying, brutal crunch.

A wave of crimson splattered across the wall, and the cultivator’s scream was abruptly cut short.

The scene was shockingly gory, yet Aoi did not waste a fraction of a second admiring her handiwork. He instantly spun around to lock onto his next target, her glowing eyes burning with unbridled killing intent.

Anyone who dared harbour harm toward his master would pay with their life!

One by one, the evil cultivators were brought down.

Some were cleanly dispatched by Yu Qi’s flashing blade, while others were ruthlessly crushed by Long Hui, Great-Grandpa Dian, and the skilled Dian Family warriors. Xiaohua and Xiaoliu continued their relentless, terrifying assault, showing zero mercy to anyone foolish enough to step within reach of their root tendrils.

The enemy’s numbers began to dwindle rapidly.

At the onset of the battle, the evil cultivators had relied heavily on their sheer numerical advantage to intimidate Yu Qi’s group.
