Chapter 3092 - 3101: Truly the Worst Teammate!

Chapter 3092: Chapter 3101: Truly the Worst Teammate!

"She can even put up with someone like Leah Rivers, just shows how fake she is. Haha, I’ll bet my new 3-carat diamond ring that she absolutely has something to do with this~!"

"I’ll bet the enamel vase in my house. I bet what Leah Rivers said is true."

"You’re too shady, I was just about to bet that what Leah said is true. We’re all betting on Leah, so who’s betting on the other side? This bet can’t even be set up properly."

"Hehe, why don’t I chip in 150 thousand and bet on her?"

"Sure."

"Agreed."

"Haha, there’s our money for a trip to the Maldives."

The buzzing chatter around them got louder and louder. Renee Anderson felt like she’d been stripped naked in front of everyone, her face flushing red, then pale, then green.

After glaring at Leah Rivers several times and finally managing to shut her up, Colin Rivers turned around, narrowed his eyes at Renee and said rather bluntly, "Miss Anderson, my daughter says you taught her to do this. Is that true or not?"

Renee instinctively glanced over at the tall, straight-backed man, then quickly denied it. "No. I don’t know why she’s saying that, but if you’re going to talk you need evidence. If she says I taught her, she must have some proof, right?"

"Leah?" Colin Rivers turned his head and motioned for Leah to bring out the evidence.

Renee kept dodging her in a way that was completely not what Leah wanted, and Leah was already furious. Without another word she rushed out, grabbed Natasha Phillips from the crowd and said, "Aunt, help me prove it. She came to me first, didn’t she?"

Right now Natasha Phillips wanted to die.

Before, she’d pushed for Alexander Sinclair to marry this First Young Lady because she had her eye on the power behind Leah Rivers. She wanted her son to have one more bargaining chip in the fight over the family assets. Who knew that aside from her bad temper, Leah was really just big boobs, no brains—so stupid it was outrageous.

Now that things had blown up this big, instead of hurrying to smooth things over, changing her story to something like she’d just come looking for something and making up any excuse to get herself out of it, she’d dragged Renee into it, trying to make Renee take the fall for her. Not only was she making it worse, at a time like this she actually dragged Natasha out, asking her to prove it. Total pig teammate!

How was she supposed to prove it?

Prove that she’d taken part in this too, or prove that she and Renee were working together to set Adam Sinclair up with a green hat?

If she dared admit it today, Adam Sinclair would never let her off!

Being stared down by those sinister eyes that were the spitting image of Sydney Sullivan’s, Natasha Phillips almost fainted. She forced herself to grab Leah’s hand that was yanking on her and dug her nails into Leah’s flesh to remind her, "Leah, what are you talking about? I don’t know what’s going on, how am I supposed to prove anything?"

As soon as she finished, she quickly added, "But I believe you wouldn’t do those things. Leah, think again—did you come here for something else?"

She was practically spelling it out, but Leah still didn’t get it. Not only was her arm hurting from Natasha’s pinching, she saw her usually obedient, indulgent future Mother-in-law watching her being slandered and still refusing to step out and speak for her. Fire shot up in Leah’s chest and she couldn’t hold back anymore. With the mindset of ’So you’re not going to admit it, none of you will, you want me to take this alone? No way. If I go down, we all go down,’ she flung off Natasha’s hand and blurted, "How can you say you don’t know, wasn’t it you guys who planned all this to make that Star look bad? You got a waiter to lure her over, all so you could drug her with an aphrodisiac and send her to President Stephen?"
