Rebirth of a Village Girl

Chapter 1157: 292: Mr. Mog's Heir

Chapter 1157: 292: Mr. Mog’s Heir

Mo Qishen wore a black long trench coat, making his legs look long and straight. He did not carry an umbrella, and there were thin layers of snowflakes on his head and shoulders.

Bringing the wind and the snow with him, his already somewhat cool and distinguished features now looked even colder.

Ni Yang stood at the doorstep looking at him, her head reaching just around his ears.

“I came to deliver seafood.”

As soon as he said this, two people came from behind carrying a box, respectfully greeting Ni Yang, “Hello Miss Ni.”

Ni Yang quickly opened the door, “Come on in.”

The two people carried the box inside.

Ni Yang and Mo Qishen followed behind; as they walked, she tiptoed to brush off the snowflakes on Mo Qishen’s head.

Mo Qishen squatted down, coordinating with her actions.

Ni Yang playfully pinched the snowflakes from her hair into small clumps and stuffed them into his collar, “Aren’t you cold, Brother Mo?”

Mo Qishen looked at her, with indulgence in his eyes, “Not cold.”

Inside the house.

Shangguan Dehui opened one of the boxes of seafood, smiling, “Wow! King Crabs! And they are alive. In the dead of winter, these are rare, Xiaomo, where did you buy these from?”

Mo Qishen entered with Ni Yang, “They were just air-shipped from Australia this morning.”

In this era, who without some power could easily air-ship seafood from Australia?

Even established families like the Zheng Family and Shangguan Family did not have such connections, let alone the Mo Family.

The Mo Family in Beijing is about the same as the Zheng Family, certainly not capable by themselves.

Hence, all this had nothing to do with the Mo Family; it was all Mo Qishen’s personal power.

Fortunately, Shangguan Dehui had already witnessed Mo Qishen’s capabilities when Little Ni Yun disappeared; otherwise, he would certainly be very surprised now.

“King Crab! I haven’t eaten this in a long time!” Adelle was especially excited upon hearing the three words ‘King Crab.’

She previously lived in a coastal city in M Country and almost ate seafood every day, but suddenly came to the inland city of Beijing, where it was almost hard to find fresh seafood.

Mo Qishen continued, “Not only King Crab, but there are also lobsters, scallops, and other seafood products.”

Ni Yang smiled, “Then we can have a seafood feast tonight.”

Ni Cuihua opened the remaining boxes; the quantity inside was quite substantial, too much for their family to finish soon, so she suggested, “Yangyang, let’s send some of this seafood to Xiaoxi.”

“Sure,” Ni Yang nodded, “Mom, pack some up, I’ll deliver it now.”

“I’ll go with you,” said Mo Qishen.

“Mm.”

Ni Cuihua not only packed the seafood but also some homemade meatballs and shrimp slides, “Your Sister Xiaoxi loves shrimp slides the most, take more of these for her, and these meatballs…”

Continuously packing, she ended up preparing a pile of items.

Old Madam Shangguan watched the scene, feeling both relieved and touched.

Although Ni Cuihua was a stepmother, she was no less than any biological mother under heaven, it was evident that she truly treated Shangguan Xi and Shangguan Xu as her own children.

Mo Qishen took the items, and together with Ni Yang, went to deliver the New Year goods to Shangguan Xi.

The Wu Family was slim, with only Wu Chenjun as the child, their household though not as lively as Ni Family’s, was not dull.

When Ni Yang and Mo Qishen arrived, Shangguan Xi was busy making a snowman in the courtyard with Wu Chenjun.

“Sister Xiaoxi, brother-in-law.”

Shangguan Xi was surprised and delighted, “Yangyang! What brings you guys here?”

Ni Yang smiled, “Mom asked me and Brother Mo to bring you some New Year goods.”

Wu Chenjun quickly came over to take the items from Mo Qishen’s hands, “Brother-in-law-to-be, you’ve worked hard!”

Mo Qishen was nonchalant, “It’s nothing much.”

Wu Chenjun’s face turned pale the moment he received the items.

Calling such heavy items ‘nothing much’?

Must be around seventy or eighty pounds?

But since Mo Qishen called it a small matter, he couldn’t fall short in front of him!

So, Wu Chenjun clenched his teeth and carried the items into the house.

Internally he marveled, Mo Qishen really kept his capabilities hidden.

After putting down the items, Ni Yang and Mo Qishen had a cup of tea and then suggested leaving.

Shangguan Xi asked them to stay for lunch, but Ni Yang smiled and declined, “When we left, mom had already prepared the meal, we’ll be heading back.”

Today being New Year’s Eve, Shangguan Xi didn’t insist on keeping them and together with Wu Chenjun, escorted them to the door.
