Wizard: Start with Biological Transformation to Grind Experience

Chapter 225 - 009: Time Coordinate

Chapter 225: 009: Time Coordinate

The methods of deep meditation vary, but when it comes to cultivation that determines a wizard’s growth, they are universally aligned.

The cultivation at the wizard level is divided into two parts: spirit and soul.

The cultivation of the former is fairly similar to that during the apprentice period, where repeated meditation is used to absorb elements from nature and enhance one’s spiritual field.

The difference lies in the sheer volume of elements that need to be absorbed at the wizard level, which far surpasses that required at the apprentice rank by orders of magnitude.

Upon advancing to a wizard, Lynch’s Sea of Consciousness underwent numerous changes.

The most striking among them was the Spirit Vortex.

Throughout his apprentice phase, his Spirit Vortex had been continuously growing; prior to advancing to wizard, it had expanded from its initial size of a thumb to nearly a meter in diameter, with the swirling elements inside gleaming brightly, resembling a miniature flowing galaxy.

Yet, upon advancing to wizard, the boundaries of the Spirit Vortex suddenly expanded to a diameter of over a hundred meters, turning it into a vast pool.

The elements that were once concentrated within it were released with the expansion of its boundaries, dispersing and transforming into a substance resembling small patches of cloud-like vapor scattered across the pool.

The first phase of wizard-level cultivation revolves around this pool, involving the continual absorption of elements to form this cloud-like substance and fill the pool.

This phase is also referred to as the ’Spirit Fogging Phase’ of wizard cultivation.

Once the fogging phase is completed, the next step is to compress the spiritual power, gradually converting it from a cloud-like state into a liquid form to fill the pool.

After liquidization is complete, the cultivation moves into the final stage at the wizard level, where the liquid spiritual power undergoes further compression to form solid crystals…

Fogging, liquidization, solidification.

These are the three stages of cultivating spiritual power at the wizard level, and they correspond to the three tiers of wizardry: low-level, mid-level, and high-level.

Upon completing the solidification of spiritual power and finishing the cultivation of soul power, the wizard-level cultivation is concluded, allowing one to make the final leap—toward the realm coveted by all living beings, to grasp the secret skill of magic…

After beginning the cultivation of the Time Wheel, Lynch promptly started reading the knowledge in the hall in order to later use it to elevate the Time Wheel’s rank and cycle.

These were topics deeply intertwined with the Time Law, and the first concept Lynch encountered was the time coordinate.

This is an abstract concept, roughly meaning to understand time as a flowing river, within which individual coordinate points are marked.

This part is simple enough to grasp—one doesn’t need high-level materials or rare treasures; it merely requires frequent observation of the flow of time, interactions with people and events, and the creation of memories that leave deep impressions.

A single flower, a single leaf, a day, a night, a moment from the past, and a snippet of history.

Observe more, reflect more, and perceive more.

That’s all.

Frost Cold Town, cemetery.

The first time coordinate Lynch chose was the gravesite of his parents.

For reasons unclear to him, as time passed, he found himself increasingly unsure of his own identity.

Was he a person from Earth who had crossed over to this world and taken over the identity of an apprentice named Lynch, or was he originally an apprentice of this world who suddenly awakened the memories of a past life?

In any case, as he grew older, his childhood memories became all the more precious. These fragments often touched his soul most deeply, which is why he chose them as the first time coordinate.

Standing before the gravestone, Lynch picked fallen leaves off the surface as childhood memories surfaced in his mind.

Before becoming a wizard apprentice, his life hadn’t been particularly good. Peasants, as the lowest class in this world, were always burdened with endless labor. From the age of three or four, he was already helping his parents with work.

Yet despite this, his parents tried their best not to burden him excessively, giving him the freedom to play and enjoy childhood moments with his friends.

Running from one end of the town to the other, jumping into towering stacks of straw.

Venturing to the edge of the forest near the town, gazing across the creek at the dense woods, imagining mysterious wizards living inside who could conjure delectable candies with magic.

Engaging in mock duels with wooden swords in the open space in front of his house, pretending to be Knights, dreaming of one day being valiant and imposing…

Here,

he had truly experienced a joyful childhood.

But alas, the companions from those days had all grown up, started families and careers, and could no longer run barefoot and carefree down muddy roads or dive into creeks to catch fish like they used to.

Some of them, even, had followed the path of his parents early in their lives, reaching the end of their days…

Time is like that,

always marching onward, constantly changing everyone…

“Who are you?”

“What are you doing in my family’s cemetery?”

At that moment, a questioning voice broke the silence. Familiar tone, identical wording, but the voice had changed greatly—from childish to clear and crisp.

Lynch turned around.

Standing behind him was a graceful young girl,

around fourteen or fifteen years old, dressed in a simple yet elegant linen dress. The skirt fell to her knees, its edges trimmed with intricate lace that added a touch of sweetness and delicacy. The dress, in a subtle off-white color, was adorned with intricate floral embroidery, reminiscent of blooming blossoms that perfectly complemented her youthful face.

She stood a few meters behind Lynch, her cheeks taut with tension. Her wide eyes were filled with wariness, and one hand grasped a wooden stick she had evidently picked up from somewhere.

“Hmm?”

She seemed to notice something. Her wide eyes shifted from alarm to curiosity.

Maintaining her wary gaze on Lynch, she stared for a while before saying with a peculiar look, “I feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before…”

“Ah, right!”

Her eyes suddenly widened: “You’re that Knight from my aunt’s wedding!”

Lynch executed a graceful bow: “It is a pleasure to see you again, Miss Lilith.”

“You remember my name…”

Lilith clicked her tongue in surprise, then asked, “I think your name was something like Dark… Dark what?”

Lynch replied, “Shadow.”

“Oh, that’s it!”

Lilith nodded heavily, speaking unreservedly, “What a pretentious name.”

Lynch: “….”

Lilith looked at him with a puzzled expression and remarked, “But… but why does your appearance…”

“Why does your appearance seem unchanged?”
