Chapter 516: Chapter 11: Broken Mirror Tower
It seemed like just a small step forward, yet it felt as though he had traversed an entire starry sky.
Abbas quickly arrived at a bizarre space.
This was a long corridor, but the sides were not walls and ceilings, rather fragmented mirrors, with each mirror containing a different scene.
Mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, grasslands, snow plains.
There were the usual scenes seen in the mundane world, and also some unusual ones found only in the Wizard World, like the world beneath the Deep Sea, or the peculiar Underground World, even the Sky World suspended in the heavens.
There were also scenarios filled with flames and frost, with various bizarre creatures walking around, scenes that would not exist even in the Wizard World.
Abbas walked through this corridor filled with mirror fragments and soon reached the end of the corridor.
Here was a void, and seated within it was an old man.
This was an old man whose age couldn’t be discerned, hair and beard all white, wrinkles all over his face, looking quite old, yet his body was filled with the vitality of a young person.
He sat in the void, surrounded by countless mirror fragments, and seemed to be one with the surrounding space.
Seemingly close, yet feeling as distant as the stars at the edge of the sky.
Abbas stood at the entrance of the void, respectfully bowed to the old man ahead: “Teacher Gulwige.”
Gulwige Morris.
One of the oldest names in the Wizard World, one of the greatest contributors to modern space magic, the foundational theorist behind almost all the space magic studied and researched in various Witch Domains— Find the newest release on novel★fire.net

Gulwige opened his eyes, his gaze falling upon his student before him, and a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth: “You’ve come.”
Abbas nodded, then produced a Space Ring: “This is the latest batch of Space Runes, delivered by students for you.”
Even being among the highest echelons in the Wizard World, Gulwige’s eyes still revealed excitement and passion in that instant, his emotional change was palpable.
He said eagerly, “Give them to me.”
Abbas moved the ring forward, and it immediately disappeared from his hand, reappearing in front of Gulwige.
Gulwige took the ring and swept his Spiritual Sea over it.
Instantly, the joy on his face intensified: “Not bad, not bad, pure Akadija Rule, my teacher wrote runes in this format, no mistake, these are left by my teacher!”
The existence of truth in life begins with tens of thousands of years, and Gulwige, as one of the few truths in this world, is also one of the oldest wizards.
He has been around since the Acadica Era, truly an Eternal Tower Wizard, though he was merely an apprentice at the Eternal Tower back then.
During the war, he was sent to a remote frontier, away from the flames of war, and this journey allowed him to avoid the war and survive.
He traveled to many places thereafter, eventually receiving an invitation post-second Wizard War, settling here at the Land of Fran.
Reading the documents handed by Abbas, seeing the familiar handwriting of his teacher, Gulwige was both excited and nostalgic, regardless of how many eons have passed, his deepest memory is always that summer afternoon, drowsy in the Wizard Tower listening to the mentor’s dull lecture.
It’s a pity…
Those are all distant past, never coming back.
Sighing in his heart, Gulwige hurriedly asked Abbas: “That child, the one who can decipher the fragmented knowledge, where is he? I want to meet him.”
For so many years, Gulwige has racked his brains to unearth the knowledge fragments from the Underground City, even lived in the ruins for more than a hundred years for research.
Unfortunately, all ended in failure, seeing someone able to decipher the content, how could he not be thrilled.
The previous batch of Space Runes brought by Abbas was relatively superficial, though highly similar to Akadija, many theories were transmitted, potentially fake.
But this batch of knowledge fragments was genuinely Akadija’s knowledge, with much content created by his teacher, impossible to fake.
Abbas frowned: “This…”
Gulwige was taken aback: “What’s the matter?”
Abbas explained: “It’s like this, the young man seems unwilling to come to Fran…”
He then reported the situation to Gulwige in full detail.
“…Perhaps there are concerns in his heart, or maybe he’s worried we’ll exploit him for his secrets.”
Gulwige stroked his beard: “Is that so…”
Abbas thought for a moment, hinting, “The Jade Land is currently in turmoil, a chaotic mix in the Black Witch Domain, incidents happening aren’t uncommon, missing a Mystical Wizard wouldn’t be…”
Gulwige shook his head: “Cannot be.”
He stated, “The Wizard World isn’t just our say, countless eyes are watching outside, years of effort to reach this level, careful maintenance of current rules is imperative.”
Abbas said: “I worry…that land is the Black Witch Domain…and moreover…”
The Space Runes matter can’t be concealed for long, it’ll leak eventually, if unable to control him before then, it’s hard to say what might happen.
Gulwige shook his head: “That is the last resort.”
After a pause, he continued: “Your words are reasonable, I will arrange someone to secretly watch him, find a pretext to send my people to him, should anything happen, they can promptly retrieve him.”
With that, he shouted a name: “Kong!”
“Here!”
A deep female voice echoed in the void.
Then, a young woman stepped out of a mirror.
Gulwige said: “Did you hear my words just now?”
The woman nodded: “I guarantee the completion of the mission!”
