Chapter 544 - 3: Seren’s Advice

Chapter 544: Chapter 3: Seren’s Advice

Seren eventually left.

His very presence here was merely on behalf of the higher-ups, to investigate the domain energy generated within Lynch’s witch domain. As for anything more, he neither could, nor had the authority, to intervene.

In the end, he was just a messenger.

However, before leaving, Seren emphasized a few points to Lynch:

“Lynch, we’ve known each other for a while now, though it’s mostly business interactions, I, Seren, consider myself to somewhat understand you. Your actions… unconventional, perhaps even audacious. But this time is different.”

Seren paused, his tiny eyes in the projection staring intensely at Lynch, “A domain-level entity, regardless of who it is, if its power erupts at the core of your witch domain and is captured by the monitoring tower, this isn’t something that can be easily brushed aside.”

Lynch sat in the shadows, the tapping of his fingers had ceased at some unknown point, with his deep black eyes reflecting the hard glint of blue flames. He neither affirmed nor denied Seren’s “understanding,” instead listening quietly.

“The rules of the Supreme Council are not child’s play.” Seren’s voice lowered, carrying an undeniable sense of pressure:

“Their tolerance for domain powers that exist outside the system is extremely low. Especially… when such power is clearly perceived and is within a new, not yet fully incorporated mainstream order of the witch domain. It would be considered a significant instability, even… a threat.”

He emphasized further, “My visit this time, on one hand, was to investigate on commission, and on the other, was to give you, given our past cooperation, a… friendly reminder. The power of the council is far beyond your imagination.”

“They will not tolerate an unknown, uncontrolled domain-level existence lingering long-term in a sensitive area like the Jade Land. This is not about personal grudges, but purely for the need of order.”

Seren’s projection leaned slightly forward, as if wanting to penetrate the blue flames: “You just said, this power is ’enough to stabilize the situation.’ Very well, but the council is more concerned whether it is willing to be ’stabilized’ within the council’s framework.”

“If it refuses registration, refuses supervision… then the council will deem it a potential source of black wizardry. By then, it won’t just be messengers like me addressing the Jade Land and your Guardian Tower.”

He paused, seemingly observing Lynch’s reaction, but Lynch in the shadows remained like a solid statue, only a barely perceptible chill permeating the air.

“Lynch,” Seren’s voice carried a hint of final admonishment, or perhaps it was the instinctive caution of a businessman facing great risk, “I know you have your plans, and the Jade Land holds significant meaning for you. But if the cost of ’integration’ is starting an opposition against the entire Supreme Council, it is undoubtedly a path to self-destruction.”

“I suggest you… have a proper talk with that entity. Make it understand that in the Wizard World, there are some rules that cannot be circumvented… Think it over, my friend.”

The conversation ended there.

The flame extinguished, and Seren’s figure completely disappeared from Lynch’s sight.

“Tap-tap-tap!”

Leaning back in his chair, Lynch lightly tapped his fingers on the table. Fınd the newest release on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝※𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖※𝕟𝕖𝕥

Though the fatty’s words were not pleasant to the ears, Lynch realized that the other was certainly not being alarmist.

As the rulers of this world, the Supreme Council could not relax their regulation of any threat that might challenge their authority to maintain their dominance.

Either align with them or be annihilated.

In this world, there might be two different factions: the black and white wizards, but it was not a balance of power. The white wizards, that is, the Supreme Council, dominated, while the black wizards’ forces were utterly insignificant in comparison.

Almost all black wizards had to live like rats scurrying through holes, always worried about being hunted by the council’s bounty hunters.

To avoid destruction, one could only align with the council.

“It seems I really need to reach the domain level as soon as possible…”

Lynch narrowed his eyes, pondering intently.

Messiah’s identity was not suitable for exposure, and to resolve the council’s trace, the solution must originate from himself.

If he achieves domain level and secures a lawful position within the council, then Messiah could be considered an extension of his power, and perhaps everything could be smoothed over?

As for opposing the council…

Lynch had never considered it, unless he was out of his mind, why would he engage in such a senseless act?

His principle was to make more friends and fewer enemies, unless there was an unavoidable conflict of interest, he would never easily create enemies for himself.

The doors of the study on the top floor of the Guardian Tower silently closed, isolating all external disturbances. Lynch’s figure disappeared behind layers of protective arrays and space distortions. He invested all his energy, all his resources, into the ultimate impact on the mystical circuits.

Time quietly flowed by in serenity.

Outside the Guardian Tower, forces were still rippling over this nascent domain. Inside, Lynch had already settled into the years of cultivation.

One day, two days, one month, two months, one year, two years…

In the blink of an eye, much time had passed.

When time arrived at a particular moment.

In the most core meditation room of the Guardian Tower, the space had been compressed to the extreme, with arcane energy so dense it was nearly liquid, forming a massive vortex, a figure seated at the center as stable as ancient stone.

Lynch’s expression was serene, but veins throbbed at his temples, each breath affected the pulse of the entire vortex.

Inside him, ten dazzling mystical circuits, like the main trunks of the star river, surged with vast strength. And within the core region where those ten circuits intertwined, the eleventh circuit was being forced open and shaped by unimaginable willpower and energy!

It wasn’t a natural extension but a difficult passage through the barriers and chaos. Each impact of spiritual power brought soul-wrenching pain and a ravaging energy storm. Failure, collapse, reformation… a relentless cycle. Lynch’s will, as though forged a billion times, was repeatedly tempered at the edge of destruction and rebirth.

Finally——

“Buzz!”

A low hum, not from the material world but directly acting on the soul, suddenly spread from the top of the tower!

In the meditation room, the violent energy vortex instantly collapsed, transforming into an intensely condensed cyan stream, pouring into Lynch’s body.

“Crack!”

As if some invisible shackle was completely broken!

At the same time, a crisp system prompt sounded timely in Lynch’s ears.

“Time Wheel skill level +1”

Within his core energy surge, the eleventh mystical circuit—finally completed!
