Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 752 752: Royal?

Hearing that, Rael just snapped his fingers, shattering the time barrier that he had formed earlier.

The moment he did, a bunch of mana escaped, spreading throughout the whole throne room and alerting Victoria, who suddenly ran over.

Yet the moment she saw Astaroth, a surprised look appeared on her face.

“You did something…?”

“Indeed I did,” Astaroth replied, puffing out his chest. “As a matter of fact, I actually managed to regain a decent chunk of my strength, muhahaha!”

“That’s great and all… but I feel like your fate strings are a little unstable. Did you push yourself?” Victoria asked, worried.

A surprised look appeared on his face.

Even so, he shook his head and assured her everything was fine.

“Rael here helped me by freezing me in time. The fate strings or whatever you’re talking about are going to reset to normal in a few minutes. Until then, may I indulge in some pleasant food, wife?”

She thought about it for a moment, then nodded.

“Give me a moment.”

With that, she left the throne room and went down toward the other Fate Dragons.

As for Astaroth, he still seemed a little nervous.

Rael obviously noticed it.

“What’s up?”

“It’s nothing. I just realized that if I want to regain all my strength, waiting for it to come back isn’t going to do the trick,” Astaroth said, lowering his head.

“I realized that my strength vanished because I had actually gotten weaker, not because I broke the Oath. I don’t remember the last time I trained, nor do I remember the last time I actually lost a fight.”

In some circumstances, that might be good.

However, to Astaroth, who needed to show off here… he was definitely in a bit of a pickle.

But that pickle was something he had gotten himself into without anyone’s assistance.

And so, since Rael didn’t want to basically be a nanny to Astaroth, he just shrugged.

“Guess you can deal with it by yourself then. Train a bit more if possible. Oh, when you’re done, train a little more, yeah?”

Astaroth’s brow twitched.

“You really are heartless… but it’s fine. I still have a few hours of training before the Dragon Gods arrive. Before that, can you stop my time again? After I eat, of course.”

Jeez…

“Don’t you have the Law of Time too?”

“Well… of course I do. It would be foolish of me to not have it. However, my mana capacity is nowhere near yours. If anything, I can’t replicate what you do.”

That was a flat-out lie.

One good look told Rael that Astaroth was just being lazy and wanted someone else to do it for him.

How bothersome…

Anyhow, Rael just nodded at him and then waited for Victoria to come back.

Yet she didn’t come back alone.

Alongside her was a whole entourage of dragons, holding several dishes which even made Rael salivate a little.

But he held it in.

She set the table in the very center of the throne room, and the moment all of the dishes were placed, she gestured at him to sit down.

Astaroth vanished out of sight and reappeared in the chair.

Without waiting for anyone else, he began to feast on the food.

Seeing that, Victoria let out a chuckle and walked past him, arriving in front of Rael.

“Say… I know you’re going to do something reckless once the Dragon Gods arrive, but could you be a little more tame, perhaps?”

Rael tilted his head.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean that I saw the future, and I also saw how you taunted every single one of the Dragon Gods before engaging in a fight with them… I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, but please remember that there’s no merit in killing the Dragon Gods,” Victoria said.

After taking a deep breath, she added:

“Even though you might not look it, your presence radiates Fate, and for that reason, everyone’s going to associate you with the Fate Dragons. Whatever you do will be reflected upon us. Something negative is just bound to make us all look bad.”

Rael let out a sigh upon hearing that.

It was some stupid politics once again.

He hated them.

That’s why solving everything with sheer power was the best.

And while he might not be as rash as what she had seen in the future, Rael would still do whatever needed to be done in order to become a Dragon God.

Even if that meant beating every single one of those arrogant dragons up.

So with that in mind, Rael just stood by alongside Nyx, while Victoria and Astaroth sat down and began eating the food.

Since Astaroth was particularly hungry, there wasn’t much food left for Victoria.

But she didn’t say anything, and from what Rael could see, it didn’t even look like she cared.

Though, a dragon as high Grade as her probably didn’t even need to eat at all.

Whatever the case may be, Rael closed his eyes and prepared himself for the arrival of the Dragon Gods.

Or so that was the plan, until he reopened his eyes and glanced at Nyx.

“Hey, is there any chance you can tell me a bit more about the Shattering?”

Nyx raised a brow.

“You’re really curious about that, huh? What’s it matter to you? Won’t you find out more once you find your guardian or something?”

“Sure, but it doesn’t help to be prepared for whatever I’ll see, no?” Rael replied innocently.

Nyx rolled her eyes.

“It’s not a big deal… but I guess I can tell you a bit more about Lucien. Back before the Shattering, Lucien was a royal, per se. A royal of the Divine Realm.”

“When the Shattering happened and the entire royal family of the Divine Realm died, Lucien was the only one who remained, because he had an innate ability to resist erasure. So he just created a copy of himself in another universe, and that copy took the brunt of the attack before dying in his stead.”

She let out a sigh.

“Wanna hear more?”
