Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 837: A Tower?

Capítulo 837: A Tower?

[Tsk… I should not have told you anything. You’re doing something really reckless right now,] Nyx said.

As Rael floated through the Abyss while following after Renoir, he just shrugged.

I would have just done it later. It’s not like I wasn’t already planning on doing this, you know?

At his words, she just grumbled.

[You’re really a pain in the ass, you know that? Is this what you were hiding from us back at the mansion?]

You could say that, yeah. Anyways, stop pestering me about this. I really won’t turn back, Rael replied.

Then, he sped up after Renoir. In just a few more hours, they reached some kind of different place in the Abyss. It was still devoid of all light like the others, except that this place had some kind of suction force, similar to a black hole.

But like a very weak black hole.

Rael wondered what it was for a moment, until Renoir decided to explain.

“This is a gateway to the location where I found the other realm. When you go through, under no circumstances do you use any mana. Understood? If you do, you’re going to give that location away.”

Rael nodded.

“Sure. I’ll be very careful.”

Hearing that, Renoir was slightly assured and then decided to lead by example. He touched the tiny black hole, and in the next instant, he vanished. As for Rael, he carefully made sure he didn’t have any passive mana abilities on.

Surprisingly, even the passive automation he had earlier was gone. For a moment, Rael thought that Gaia wouldn’t have enough of an army, but since he had that thing running for at least a couple hours, Rael was sure the army was at least a couple billion constructs strong.

And so with that in mind, Rael went ahead and placed his finger into the black hole, then immediately vanished.

He had teleported through such portals dozens of times, but only this time did he have a strange interface in front of him, detailing some weird stuff and not completely teleporting him, almost making it seem like he was stuck in the teleportation animation.

<Ding!>

<Ding!>

“…?”

“Who gives a shit? Just let me through.”

Sadly, unlike his ‘guardian,’ the system here didn’t reply to him. Instead, it just kept that pop-up in front of his face for several minutes, causing Rael’s brows to twitch in annoyance.

But just then, Rael felt someone take over his body, and for a brief moment…

<Ding!>

<Ding!>

Before Rael could realize what was happening, his vision faded and his body was propelled downward. It felt like he was going down some kind of waterslide, and once he reached the very bottom of the slide, his vision returned.

The moment it did, Rael’s eyes widened.

There were thousands of black holes scattered around the sky in place of stars. There wasn’t much surrounding them except for some tornadoes made completely out of mana. Not only that, the area that he stood on was made from some kind of carbon fiber-looking material. It was even as hard as carbon fiber.

It was strange to walk on something like this, but despite that, Rael made sure to not even use a single trace of his mana. Not to mention, he was too in awe of all the black holes to really even consider using anything.

Up ahead, Renoir just stood there blankly. Once he saw that Rael was here, he nodded at him.

“Glad you could make it. I take it Nyx helped you get through?”

Rael nodded.

“I think so. This place’s a little trippy, but I don’t see a portal anywhere. It’s just a weird realm with a bunch of tornadoes… We don’t have to go through one of those tornadoes, do we?”

Renoir smiled, then pointed behind Rael.

Once he turned around, Rael spotted a tornado that was at least tens of times larger than the others in this strange realm. Obviously, Rael clocked exactly what Renoir was insinuating, and by no means was he happy.

“Should I jump off a cliff as well while I’m at it?”

“If that’s what makes you happy, sure,” Renoir replied. “But I would prefer you didn’t. Instead, focus your energy on surviving.”

“…Did any of your constructs ever die in that tornado?” Rael asked.

Renoir thought it over for a moment, then nodded.

“A couple, but that was because I made them too fragile. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.”

Uh-huh.

Rael was starting to second guess himself. But in the end, he knew that if something like this were to fuck him over, then he was better off dead.

Alright. Nyx, thoughts?

[What do you want my thoughts for? Did you need my thoughts when you decided to come here in the first place?] Nyx replied.

Rael let out a sigh.

Come on, how much longer are you going to blame me? I’m sorry.

[Hmph. Well, my thoughts are that you’re going to survive, but that realm you’re going to enter is going to be a little bit different than you’re expecting,] she said in a sassy tone.

Speaking of…

Can you finally tell me how you figured out Lucien was in the other realm?

She paused for a moment, then said:

[I managed to catch him entering it. He also entered it from the exact same place that you are. It’s just that I only managed to follow him for a few moments before all my mana ran out. But I did catch a glimpse of the inside.]

At least he knew that realm existed.

What’s inside it?

[A tower…? I think. When he went through, he first appeared in front of a tower. He took a couple steps toward that tower, and then my mana ran out. I couldn’t reach him afterward,] Nyx said.

Huh…

A tower?
