“I’m surprised you decided to come along with me,” Rael said.
Gaia scoffed. “As if I’d let you go down there by yourself. Plus, Nyx also decided to come along, since you’re just too untrustworthy. You would definitely stir some trouble if we left you alone.”
Yep.
Rael felt like that might have been the case. Despite that, they didn’t say much more as they jumped off the mountaintop and began traveling down. Naturally, that Marcus kid was still stalking them.
However, when he realized that Rael and the two women jumped off his mountain, he didn’t follow along, only trying to trace them with his presence. Yet that didn’t work very well as Gaia simply swatted his presence away.
As for Nyx, she was a little preoccupied with something. Ever since she first entered this realm, she felt something very, very familiar. It was a feeling she had felt in the past, and the only reason it stuck with her was because it was a terrible feeling.
And as she got closer to the world below, Nyx finally realized what that feeling was. The world below them was infinite, and it adjusted according to the memories of those who gazed upon it. For Rael, it was a modern world. For Gaia, it was a giant forest, and for Nyx, it was a world similar to Rael’s, but far more medieval.
This was the exact same world she had lived in when she was younger and powerless. She was confused about how something like this was possible, but from the looks of things, neither Rael nor Gaia seemed to react much to it.
Well, Nyx decided to just be calm and watch them for the time being. After all, when they got close enough to the world, it suddenly shifted, revealing the landscape, which was a combination of the worlds the three of them had lived in.
And of course, only then did Rael realize that the mountains had disappeared, and what replaced them were miniature beams of light that extended into the sky. As for the world itself, it was far more massive than he expected.
Even from so high up, Rael was able to see two continents and even a couple dozen countries. For some reason, most of them were at war.
Before long, Rael, Gaia, and Nyx descended onto that world, landing atop one of the castles in the middle of a lake. It was very medieval, despite what he saw from above.
Before he could move or do anything, however, Nyx chimed in:
“This world seems to be randomly generated.”
“Doesn’t look randomly generated,” Rael said.
Gaia nodded. “I saw the irregularities, but I believe this world is more of a preference-picked world. Essentially, they scan our preferences and then choose a world for us based on them.”
The explanation was simple, but Nyx didn’t feel like it was accurate. After all, this didn’t feel right at all. If anything, Nyx was sure that these two just couldn’t see what she was seeing.
Despite that, she didn’t make that big of a fuss about it as she just shrugged and kept all the information to herself. As for Rael, he glanced around and hummed in satisfaction, realizing that this world was filled to the brim with people who couldn’t even use mana.
He was curious whether or not the world would awaken if he used a lot of mana here. But alas, when Rael glanced ahead, he spotted a dragon flying in the distance, which assured him that mana was really not the issue.
Moreover, Rael’s curiosity accidentally made him teleport toward the dragon and then trace it from behind. Except he was a little surprised by how weak the dragon was. Even with it being able to spew power and control mana, it was roughly level 100.
Was this some kind of hyper-balanced world? Was that even possible? Rael felt like it was impossible to balance every world, since someone would just get too overpowered and break the scale for everyone else too.
But alas, if a dragon wasn’t powerful, Rael didn’t know what to think. Just then, the dragon noticed his presence, and once it turned around, the first thing it did was spew fire out of its nose, trying to kill him instantly.
Except the flames were nothing short of lukewarm. If anything, Rael couldn’t even heat up his breakfast with this. But then again, to the dragon, which was spitting fire so eagerly, it seemed to believe it was doing a lot of damage.
Yet when the fire faded and it grew tired, it was quickly hit with the reality check that nothing it did actually mattered. It froze for a moment, its brows furrowing as it made the tactical decision to retreat.
However, Nyx had already arrived in front of the dragon, placing one finger on its nose and suddenly knocking it out. The giant dragon began to fall, but Gaia soon caught it by manifesting a single tree from the ground.
As for Rael, he just let out a sigh, unsure of what to do next.
“I honestly expected this world to be more special.”
“It probably is. There should be many artifacts belonging to the Concepts. You might not use items anymore, or even care about anything other than the coolness factor of your gear, but a Supreme Ranked item would most definitely enhance your strength considerably,” Gaia said, then narrowed her eyes.
“Speaking of, you could most likely get 10 times stronger if you were to just equip a powerful set of armor. With accessories, you might even be 20 times stronger. Why not do it? It’s not like you can’t just turn off the visibility so no one else can see.”
Rael shrugged. “Too lazy.”
Afterwards, he glanced over to the dragon stuck on one of the trees Gaia made. He had no intention of initially doing anything with it, but he was kind of interested in dragon meat—
“We should interrogate it.”
Right.
Interrogate it.
