“Hmm…” Rael stared at the Universe Destroyer with a slight smirk on his face. He hadn’t planned on taming such a being, but now that the being was in such a state, Rael felt like it might be a good idea to employ it.
After all, as it was right now, it could neither move nor absorb anything. It was also the size of a basketball, so that was also a bit interesting. Approaching it, Rael placed his hand on it, observing its core structure.
And although he didn’t expect it, within it, there was a faint trace of mana. It resembled Rael’s a tiny bit. He thought it was because the being before Rael resembled him a lot, but in reality, it was simply because this thing was tasked with eliminating Rael and everything he cared about.
Notably, Rael immediately went ahead and tried reverse engineering this thing, trying his best to figure out its origin. Yet no matter what he did, he wasn’t able to find its origin. Whoever created this thing did a very good job.
Manifesting out of thin air with nothing, and carrying out mass destruction. It really was an impressive feat, and just in case, Rael looked around the other realities, making sure that they were all fine.
In the end, he glanced back at this Universe Destroyer and let out a sigh. Did he really want to make it into a pet? What kind of pet could it even be?
Thinking it over for a moment, Rael decided on its form: a black cat. With a single thought, the jar of energy began to morph and form into something new. Before long, the Universe Destroyer looked like nothing but a black cat.
Except its eyes still contained the same sovereignty as before. Its irises were miniature galaxies, and this was by far the coolest pet he had ever seen in his life.
Though, the cat did look like a bit of a dumbass. It had no thoughts behind its eyes, and all it did was float around space and purr. To be fair, he should’ve made it an orange cat. That way, it wouldn’t be surprising for it to be a dumbass.
Anyhow, Rael went ahead and picked the cat up, then after making sure it wouldn’t exactly self-destruct at any moment. And in the end, Rael just teleported back to the pirate ship, reappearing in front of Lilith and Zafira.
Zafira seemed a little bit pissed, perhaps because while Lilith had seen him, she didn’t. On that note, her belly was even more pronounced now, and it was obvious that she was pregnant.
Even she knew it, and from the looks of things, that was where most of her mood swings came from. After all, as she stared at Rael, the only thing she wanted to do at the moment was hit him.
“You don’t spend time with me anymore,” Zafira said.
Rael’s brow twitched. “We spent five hours together yesterday… And it’s still only morning. I’m planning to spend even more time with you today.”
Of course, no matter what she said, she didn’t actually hate him. The urge to punch him was still there. Regardless of that, Rael went ahead and showed the two of them the new cat that had nothing on its mind aside from purring and licking its own paws.
Seeing that, Zafira’s entire pregnancy persona vanished, replaced by a wide smile. She had never even seen a cat before, but she was definitely impressed by it.
And it seemed like the cat reacted to her too, as it went ahead and jumped from Rael’s arms and atop Zafira’s shoulder, perching on it like some parrot.
“Ah… Why doesn’t this creature like me instead?” Lilith mumbled with a slight pout. Then, she turned toward Rael and added:
“Do you have a creature for me as well? Perhaps something edible this time?”
Rael shook his head. “You’re not eating the pets I give you. If you’re hungry, I can gift you a pet fish if you want. Ah, right. Lilith, your father seems to be doing some kind of ceremony in the Demon Realm. You might wanna head there.”
She tilted her head. “Why should I care? I’m already the Demon King of that whole place. My father can do whatever he wants.”
“Well, if you say so. On that note, Zafira, have you thought of baby names?” Rael said, catching Zafira a little off guard.
“Uhh…? No. Not yet. Also, we’ll most likely need two names, as I can feel two presences in my belly,” she replied.
Just this time, Rael was the one caught off guard. Twins? Seriously? Here he was, barely taking care of himself, and now he would need to take care of two extra babies?
Before Rael could even fully process that, Lilith chuckled from the side:
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, we can modify our bodies and what’s inside us, duplicating it if need be. So I’m just going to tell you right off the bat that whenever you impregnate me, we’re having quadruplets.”
“…”
Yeah… Rael kind of wished this was human pregnancy rather than alien pregnancy, in the sense that he might become a father of 10 before he knew it.
On that note, Rael glanced over to Melina, who was just sipping rum and watching this entire fiasco unfold in real time. Gaia was also inside his mind, but neither of these women said a word, making him realize that he was pretty much by himself now, needing to deal with the circumstances firsthand.
But this many kids… Could he handle it? Obviously, he wasn’t against it. If they wanted to have that many children, then that was fine. He would be there, and all he needed was for them to be there too.
Anyways, with 6 children already planned, Rael prayed inwardly and backed off a little, knowing that participating in this conversation would only make him have that many more children.
Though…
“Where do you think you’re going?” Lilith smiled, then narrowed her eyes slightly.
“As it so happens, we’re done adventuring for today, so take me on a date. Now.”
