Strength Based Wizard (Book 1 COMPLETE)

AUTHOR'S NOTE: End of Book 1

We have officially reached the end of Book 1 of Strength Based Wizard!

First and foremost, I wanted to thank all of you, the readers. Like so many other writers on this platform, I shared my story with little to no expectations of it finding an audience. Anyone taking a shot and on this story and reading it would be amazing. Luckily, I have so many awesome readers that not only take the time to read the story, but take additional time to write and share a comment (whether it's simply thanking me for the chapter, reacting to something funny or ridiculous, or theory-crafting...). These comments mean so, so much to a writer such as myself. They fuel me and only slightly give me a glimpse of what a specific brand of insanity may feel like (screaming into the void, only for it to yell back at you: "Thanks!"). You guys continue to be the true rockstars and have stuck with me and my not-ideally-smart (and often times dumb) protagonist, who is a work-in-progress. We can't all be Jelly Boy, unfortunately.

I would like to share some updates and additional details.

What's Next for STRENGTH BASED WIZARD?

Book 2, of course! But I'll be taking a brief pause from normally scheduled chapters (approx. 1-2 weeks) to compile the Book 1 manuscript and do an editing pass. What some of you may have gleaned from following along with Book 1: I publish on the fly, as I go. I don't have advance chapters on my Patreon (yet, possibly never) because you get everything I have, often times as soon as I have it (e.g., bonus chapters). My release schedule is consistent but not precisely so, as I am often jamming out chapters to get them to you all (often resulting in a number of dumb mistakes, which you guys are very helpful at suggesting the edits for). I was lucky enough to draw the attention of a publisher and sign a contract. That contract has obligations, starting with me delivering a properly formatted and decently polished manuscript for their editing team. As you may have also learned: I don't write fast. Especially compared to Royal Road standards. Two or three chapters a week is my max limit of writing given I have a full-time job that requires 60+ hours from me many weeks (then you factor in health & wellness, family, etc., the time for writing, let alone editing is thin).

I'm going to spend this time beginning Book 2, but that will be in the background as I edit Book 1. Revisions will be reflected on Royal Road as I complete them. Nothing in the story will change, but I may brush up the writing in places.

Book 2 will eventually commence on the same 2-chapters-per-week cadence as Book 1. In the meantime, I would love to hear from you all: What do you want to see more of in Book 2? What aspects of Joseph's world do you want explored more (where possible)?

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

End of Book 1 Q&A and Discord

I am going to spend the time I am editing Book 1 also hosting a Q&A on my budding, early-stages Discord. The Q&A will be full Spoilers for Book 1, light spoilers for worldbuilding (that may be seen in later books, but should not be considered canon until published), and spoiler-free for future plot details, etc.

Feel free to come and join me!

End of Book 1 Character Sheets

The end of Book 1 final character sheets of our core party of characters will be posted here. I will not set an alert for that "chapter" - so feel free to check in in a day or so, if you're interested in seeing the data consolidated in one place.
