Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened

Chapter 289: Ch 289 : Faith Streams

In the silence of the Throne Room, the only sound was the rhythmic tapping of a finger against an armrest of the throne.

Sunny sat on the Throne, bathed in the starlight that fell from the open ceiling.

Right now he was staring at a invisible system panel only visible to himself.

[God Name: Cosmos]

[Profession: Mage (SS-Grade) | Body Refiner (SS-Grade)]

Sunny's eyes drifted down to the list that defined his power. It was growing longer and more terrifying with each passing day.

[Talents: Skill-Resonance (SSS-Grade), Manifestation Affinity (SS-Grade), God's Eye (SSS-Grade), Magic Affinity (SS-Grade), Soul-Cloning (SSS-Grade), Divine Intuition (SS-Grade), Divine Growth (SSS-Grade), Combat Master (SS-Grade), Divine Command (SS-Grade), Divine Blessings (SS-Grade), Time Affinity (SS-Grade), God's Authority (SS-Grade), Divine Immortality (SS-Grade), God of the Gods (SSS-Grade), Divine Comprehension (SS-Grade), God's Domain (SS-Grade), Fearless (SS-Grade), Chosen One of the Void (SSS-Grade)]

"Eighteen..." Sunny whispered, the number echoing in the vast hall.

Any other lifeform or God in the multiverse would be lucky to possess a single SS-Grade talent. To possess eighteen? And for all of them to be SS or SSS-Grade? It was something that broke the power scaling by a huge margin.

By all logic, his soul should have shattered. Like a small cup trying to hold an ocean.

But he was intact.

Sunny placed a hand over his chest, feeling the hum of his core. It was Skill-Resonance. His innate talent that acted as a balancer between the talents.

It forced the conflicting laws to harmonize, creating a strange, beautiful resonance between them.

Instead of fighting for dominance, his talents amplified one another.

"Without any conflict..." Sunny mused, his mind drifting to a dark possibility.

He thought of Edgar, the Royal Void Beast imprisoned below. He thought of Edgar's SSS-Grade talent, Void Hunger. It was a curse that consumed everything energy, matter, even the talent of the user.

If Skill-Resonance could harmonize anything, could it harmonize that hunger? Could he copy Edgar's power without becoming a cursed child of void?

Sunny's finger stopped tapping. The temptation was there. Power often required risk.

But he shook his head, dispelling the thought. "No. Not yet. The risk is too high. I have enough tools to break the sky without risking anything."

His gaze shifted to the bottom of the list. Fearless (SS-Grade).

A pain shot through his chest just thinking about it's origin. He remembered how he got that one.

It was a gift from Divine Growth, unlocked after his 100th death in his fight against Edgar.

He remembered the feeling of being torn apart, eaten, crushed, and erased, over and over again until the concept of fear simply burned away.

Currently, his clone The Destroyer had that talent active permanently. To hunt demons in the dark, one could not afford to feel fear.

"Wait."

Sunny frowned, leaning forward on the throne. He counted the list again.

"Where is Soul Splitting? I just copied it from Adam. why are there only eighteen talents? There should be nineteen."

He activated God's Eye on himself, trying to check if what he was seeing was correct or not.

The system panel once again materialized in his mind. But nothing changed, it was still same.

Confused, Sunny began to inspect each talent individually, looking for the anomaly. Had the copy failed? Is it even possible?

His eyes stopped on the his fifth talent.

[Talent Name: Soul-Cloning]

[Grade: SSS]

Sunny blinked. That wasn't there before. He used his god's eyes to further get the details of this talent.

[Description: A fusion resulting from the Resonance between the Cloning talent and the Soul-Splitting talent.

New clones are no longer mere puppets. They will be born possessing a fragment of the user's soul, granting them autonomy and the ability to grow independently. However, the Main Soul retains absolute authority. The hierarchy is absolute.]

"A fusion," Sunny breathed, realization washing over him.

He understood the implication immediately. Before, Soul Splitting required him to carve out pieces of his own essence, a painful, dangerous process that limited his soul to only divide into 4 parts.

But this? This was Soul-Cloning.

It meant the limit was gone. He didn't need to butcher his own soul anymore. This talent would handle the replication. The only cost now... was faith.

"Meaning," Sunny grinned, looking at the bottom of his status panel, "the only limit is Faith."

He looked at the number glowing in end of his status panel.

[Faith points : 154 Quadrillion]

It was a number so large it was almost unreal. It was an amount that could make all the other gods green with envy.

But this faith didn't increase just like that, everything was earned by Sunny using everything he could think of.

There were many streams of his faith generation, from where he earned this much faith in just around 15 hours or so.

The first reason was offcourse, The Golden Age of Mortals.

The first major factor was the quality of the worshippers. In the past, the strength of the mortals were capped by their talents. Thus due to their weak strength the prayers were also weak, which meant low faith generation for Sunny.

But Sunny had shattered those shackles. With the Limiters removed, lifeforms on Veridia and the other worlds were reaching S-Grade without much difficulty.

An S-Grade mortal generated a thousand times more Faith than an A-Grade mortal.

And they lived longer, the average lifespan of an S-Grade warrior was nearly ten thousand years. And thanks to the Divine Immortality talent, even if they died, they just revived by themselves, meaning they could potentially live upto ninty thousand years.

Population decline? Non-existent.

Population growth? Exponential.

Just on Veridia alone, there were 454 Billion citizens. And every single one of them worshipped Sunny not just as a God, but as the provider of their immortality and peaceful lives.

The second reason was, The Wealth of the Vassals.

These vassals, the 6 Billion Gods under his command, generated the most amount of his wealth.

Before joining Sunny, they struggled to manage their world. Lifeforms continuously faught with each other, crimes were normal, the demons killed many of the lifeforms.

But with Sunny's system helping them now, the lifeforms were monitored which meant any criminal was immediately caught and was executed or imprisoned.

Which meant that these lifeforms weren't dying too, resulting in quadrillions of lifeforms praying to their Gods.

But the more they earned the better it was for Sunny, as he was earning 25% of faith from them as tax.

Every prayer directed at a subordinate God sent a 25% cut directly to Sunny.

"1.5 Quadrillion Faith... just from taxes," Sunny calculated, shaking his head in amusement. "I am making more money sleeping than they make working."

The third reason behind his 154 Quadrillion faith was The Services in the city of Gods.

Tax was just the beginning. The real faith generation was not because Sunny was straight up taking their faith, instead it was because they were giving it to him.

You want to grow stronger? Enter the God-Maker Realm. Entry fee: Faith.

You want to chat with your friends across the universe? Use the System Chat. Fee: Faith.

You want to run a simulation to test a new spell? Use the Virtual Arena. Fee: Faith.

Every service in the City of Gods was a sinkhole for Faith. The Gods earned it from their mortals, and then immediately handed it back to Sunny to buy power and convenience.

From services alone, he was raking in 4 Quadrillion Faith every hour.

Then there were the worlds saved by his clones. The Creator and the Destroyer had liberated countless universes from the demonic threat.

The survivors of those worlds began to worship Sunny as their God; resulting in huge faith generation.

Another 3 Quadrillion Faith per hour.

Then there was the bonus from The Hierarchy.

The passive income generated simply by being the God of Gods. The 6 billion Gods themselves generated Faith for him, viewing him as their supreme leader.

From all these streams of faith, his total faith generation per hour was more than 12 Quadrillion.

He opened his eyes, the starlight from the distant stars reflecting in his eyes.

He was generating enough power every hour that he could even create a multiverse of his own.

"Money is meant to be spent," Sunny declared, his voice firm.

He looked at the new Soul-Cloning talent and nodded. He needed more conquerors so that the faith generation could increase even faster.

He raised his hand, two fingers extended.

"I will create two clones immediately," he decided.

He knew the pricing of these clones, as his 14th clone was at the price of 1 Quadrillion.

These next two clones should be at the price of 10 and 100 Quadrillion.

Meaning he would be spending 110 quadrillion from his faith reserves of 154 Quadrillion, which was a large amount of faith.

But Sunny didn't hesitate, he raised his hands and used his faith towards the newly created talent of Soul-Cloning.
