The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 291- [Holy Sword Art] Third Light: [Radiant Cascade]

Vangeance grinned and raised his thumb, his part done.

Silvia nodded, watching the knight grin at her with a blood soaked body. Immediately at that moment, she made up her mind to finish what she started.

"Gwen!!" She called out. At that very instant, the squire used her movement skill. Water sprang forth from the ground, allowing her to surf on it. She grabbed Silvia, and together they sped towards the stele that was not far from reach now.

ROARR… However, as if to say that no one was worthy to touch the steles, the gale force howled. A visible storm came to life, brewing the strongest attack anybody had witnessed so far.

Seeing this, the faces of all the squires and recruits paled; even the knights were no exception. They could smell the trace of extinction from it.

Isn't this too much for just training? Someone could actually die from that attack. Of course, not everyone thought like this. Gwen gulped in nervousness, though the next second, a hand placed on her shoulder, reassured her.

The knight had a petite figure and looked very young, yet it was this figure that made her feel like she would be fine even against that herald of death.

Gwen sped forward. At the last moment, she held Silvia's hand and, using all of her remaining strength, she swung her towards the stele. The water obeying her will formed a board around Silvia's feet, allowing her to glide through the ground and increasing her speed to the max.

At the same moment, the wind turned ominously dark as a fearsome attack at the cusp of being manifested was released.

In that moment, time came down to a crawl..

BOOM… a loud noise shook the training ground, as a fierce to extreme black wind blast hit everyone. Trees were instantly uprooted, and large swathes of earth were pulled out of the ground.

The power behind this black wind was so great that even when hit by just the afterstorm, they were forced to use their own skills and powers to offset the damage. So what happened to the knight that was the focal point of that attack and took the blow head on?

After the dust settled and the twister like storm disappeared, a slightly dishevelled looking Silvia appeared in front of everyone.

The moment everyone laid their eyes on her, they froze in place. One hand of the girl was holding her sword, while with her other hand, she held onto something that looked like a piece of the stele.

Without needing to be spurred on, all eyes swivelled towards the stelae that were the goal of their training. At this moment, one of the steles was cut down to numerous pieces, and the thing that Silvia was holding onto was one of those pieces.

How did this happen? No, what just happened? The squires and recruits were confused. However, it couldn't be helped; after all, the only ones who were able to see what transpired were the knights who had at least mastered the transcendent state of [One with the sword].

At the very last second, as the ominous black wind took the shape of a dragon head, Silvia drew her sword, executing the Third Light of the [Holy Sword Art]: [Radiant Cascade].

Immediately, the space around her flashed with numerous slashes, and the dragon, along with the stele, was cut into pieces.

Third Light of the [Holy Sword Art]: [Radiant Cascade]- A flowing series of slashes that mirror the descent of heavenly light. Swift and graceful, each strike feels like a waterfall of swords drenched in sacred essence.

The girl surprisingly managed to grasp the concept of the technique, thus passing the training.

"Well done, all of you." While everyone was shocked into silence, Reinhardt applauded, walking over. Brilliant light burst forth all around him, bathing him, the knights along with the entire training ground with its brilliant glow.

After the light died down, Vangeance and the others found themselves completely healed again.

An absurdly powerful healing skill with an absurdly large range. By now, no one was surprised at the reason defying powers of their commander.

Reinhardt patted the members of his order for their commendable effort, going as far as to even praise them highly. His intentions, other than honouring them, was to light a fire in every other member of his order.

If Silvia and her team can do it, so can the others. The temple of light did not lack talented people. Plus, with the training they had undergone so far, it was possible for all of them to complete this training.

Of course, they would have to tough it out and chew some bitter pills. But a knight is someone who endures, and all of the knights and the future of the Order of the Temple of Light represented that principle.

Just like he intended, after seeing Silvia and the others being praised so highly by the Commander, the man they respected the most, a fire started burning within all of them.

Of course, the gale force and that black wind imprinted in their memory was still frightening. However, for them who have already faced demons and demonic monsters, this was nothing.

And so, a fierce competition to become the next team to clear the training started among the members of the Order of the Temple of Light.

Seeing them like this, Reinhardt smiled. With the precedence set by Gwen, who showed them how to go about clearing this training, it didn't take long for the other teams to also complete it.

While the other teams were fiercely competing, Silvia and the squad rested by the edges of the training ground, watching over them.

"Uhhh, I still don't get how we were able to clear it?" Kevin questioned, scratching his head.

"Haha, don't bother using your empty head. The reason we were able to finish it is because… we had the best teamwork out of all the teams," Vangeance spoke.

Hearing his reply, the three girls almost slipped and fell. These two idiots, they knew nothing about the training or how it worked, even though they completed it.
