Kate let out a soft, shuddering breath, her eyes fluttering closed as she surrendered to the sensation. She felt his energy coil around her heart before branching out, searching for the narrow, dormant channels that the System's basic leveling had ignored.

"Little Red, I've found a knot," Damon mentally whispered, his brow furrowed in concentration. "It feels like something is clogged near her arm."

"That is definitely a node, my liege. Do not bash it down. Imagine your energy as a warm tide. Let it soak into the blockage until it softens, then... push."

Damon followed the instructions perfectly. He felt Kate's pulse quicken under his palms. He willed his wisp of blood energy to gently erode the blockage.

This time everything went a lot quicker and a lot smoother without any hitch. In fact, Damon was a little surprised as he noticed his own blood manipulation control significantly increase.
