Margareth saw a huge smile take over Qingyi's face.
Even without exchanging any sound transmission, that smile gave her the certainty that she had made the right decision, or at least the one Qingyi thought was right.
"Your husband...?" Lucien turned his face slightly, staring at Qingyi. "You married an infidel?"
"We're not married yet, but he's my man," Margareth declared, causing Lucien even more shock.
Didn't that mean they were having sex outside of marriage? A great sin!
Lucien gritted his teeth, making a symbol on his chest as he prayed silently.
"Don't worry, Lady Margareth, I'll rescue you from this heretical demon!" he declared, stepping forward.
"Qingyi..." Meilin grabbed her husband's robes, but he just smiled, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
"I'll just knock a few of his teeth out and we'll talk, okay?"
They obviously couldn't fight there, but fortunately that town already had an arena.
It was small, but enough for Qingyi and Lucien to face each other.
"Tell me your name, infidel!" Lucien demanded, drawing his sword, a golden energy taking over.
He watched Qingyi coldly, calculating his power.
Lucien was equivalent in strength to the flowing meridian realm and, observing Qingyi's Qi, he could tell that the handsome young man was at least one level below him.
An easy fight.
"Long Qingyi, I hope young master Lucien understands me if I'm a bit rude, I'm not used to beating up men of the goddess." Qingyi flashed a gentle smile, bowing respectfully.
"You... don't you dare!" Lucien's beautiful blue eyes filled with rage as he advanced towards Qingyi.
"Divine judgment!" he roared, pointing his sword towards his opponent's chest.
'Oh... don't tell me you're one of those idiots who shouts out the name of every skill before using it?' Qingyi mentally questioned, barely managing to dodge before a bolt of golden lightning tore through the sky, falling where he stood and splintering the ground.
Just thinking about it was enough to make his face burn with embarrassment.
"You won't get away with this!" Lucien shouted again. "Holy mana slash!"
His sword sliced through the air, launching dozens of golden ethereal slashes towards Qingyi, each one more powerful than the last, each accompanied by a loud, embarrassing scream.
'Shit... what did I do to deserve this?' Qingyi dodged, parrying one blow after another, holding back the laughter stuck in his throat.
The moment the mana slashes stopped being thrown, he lunged forward, swinging his heaven-defying thunder sword in a downward strike.
Lucien immediately defended himself by raising his own sword, entering into a contest of strength with Qingyi.
Not a very smart idea.
His feet sank into the ground, his knees immediately buckling as a huge figure appeared on Qingyi's back.
A dragon, or rather, just the eyes of a dragon. Qingyi didn't think it necessary to waste draconic Qi on a complete projection.
These eyes were a deep purple, carrying an intense murderous intent belonging only to someone who had already taken countless lives.
Despite his power, Lucien had never been in a real battle.
How could he handle it?
He tried to retreat, using his strongest protective technique, but was stopped by Qingyi's boots hitting his face, sending him flying towards the walls of the arena, a few broken teeth falling to the ground.
"Is that all? Barely enough to warm up..." Qingyi smiled.
It had been a long time since he had met an enemy whose lineage was at least close to his own. He thought Lucien would be the one, but as it turned out, he was in for another disappointment.
"Have I lost...?" Lucien asked himself, lying on the ground, the blood rising in his throat.
How could he, the candidate for the Golden Son, the aspiring ruler of the divine kingdom of Auranys, lose?
Suddenly, lost in despair, a voice reached him.
It was sweet, but not the sweetness of an ordinary woman's voice. It was unlike anything he had ever heard, every syllable clear and defined, every word seemingly shaped to perfection, carrying a powerful divine aura.
"Fear not, my child... this disgusting sinner has offended me too, use this gift and deliver my divine punishment to him."
The moment the voice fell silent, Lucien's eyes flew open, his whole body filled with an intense golden glow that spread for miles.
He saw the shocked looks on the bishop's and Margareth's faces as he readied his sword.
"I'll end this right now!" Lucien roared. "Divine sword of-"
He was about to summon his skill when his voice suddenly stopped.
Qingyi was already in front of him, smiling brightly as his boots met the twin balls between Lucien's legs.
It was a cheap strike, Qingyi knew that, but he was also worried.
He sensed a certain danger in that attack, the kind he hadn't felt for a long time.
He preferred to stop it right there to avoid bigger problems.

'Take it easy... I'll take care of that divine pussy when I have the time, and the power...' Qingyi laughed, not at all worried about those notifications.
"Looks like I won," he smirked at the bishop, as the paladins surrounded Lucien's collapsed figure, tending to his wounds.
"Indeed..." The bishop bowed his head. "I apologize for the disrespect, Lady Margareth."
Despite his defeat, he didn't look sad, quite the opposite.
He had the face of a man who had just won a lot.
"It's nothing." Margareth just nodded, focusing her gaze on Qingyi again.
The handsome young man was already bored and just wanted to take some time to discuss important things with Meilin and Margareth, so he left.
However, before he even reached the stands where his wives were standing, Lucien's quiet babbling stopped him.
"Ah... I want my Nintendo... my play-…" Lucien whimpered quietly.
