Reborn as the Failed Lord with my Resource Gathering System.

Chapter 111: A new product.

The Monteli family was known to be one of, if not the, richest family businesses in all of the entire dukedom.

This was because of their unique products, such as chocolates, new styles of clothes, and eventually new foods like udon and so on.

These unique inventions would soon raise the family back to fame, but this time, they were ten times richer than they were before their downfall.

Even the baron himself had gotten so pressed that he had tried several times to sabotage the business as he had been doing with his partner, Sir Vane.

Though, every effort was a risk, since the Aurelian barony was backing them up. The Forgriam baron knew better than to be an enemy of the Aurelian, which resulted in a ceasefire from them. Still, the Montelis knew better than to let their guard down around such people.

But all in all, their success could be linked back to one person and one person only…

"Welcome, my lord. Please, have some tea."

A man dressed in a white office suit with long purple hair spoke, his smile small but radiating with respect and adoration.

This man was the head of the Monteli family, Eric Monteli. Seated on the couch right next to him was his wife, Rebecca Monteli, who, if anything, had her entire focus on Dorian alone.

Dorian was seated on the couch right opposite them. Maria and Seraphina sat beside him, and at the back were Aces and another officer, acting as security.

"Thank you." Dorian took the cup from the table and slowly pulled it to his lips for a sip.

"I see my daughter was finally able to bring you here. For a while, I assumed you were avoiding us," Rebecca uttered, chuckling nervously.

Seraphina, shocked that her mother would say that out loud, quickly turned to Dorian to read his expression. Dorian, dropping the cup on the table, didn't seem all that bothered by it.

"Sorry about that. A lot has been happening back home, so I barely have time for anything else," he replied calmly. "But I believe you handled yourselves better without me. I heard your products are making it to the royal capital soon."

Eric replied, "Calling them our products is quite humble, my lord, but the truth is, they were all your ideas. I can't in good conscience claim them as my own."

Dorian sighed. They had had this similar conversation many times, so there was no point in arguing further; it was pointless.

"Father, Lord Dorian came here today because he had a new business plan he wanted to discuss with you. Are you interested?" Seraphina quickly tried to change the topic.

The news, of course, made her parents shocked.

"A new one?"

"So quickly? Didn't he just give us the idea for the new brand a few weeks ago?"

They both uttered, shocked at how quickly their lord could come up with new ideas on the spot.

Dorian chuckled a bit; if only they knew most of the ideas he was giving them were things already implemented in his former world.

He stretched his hand to gesture as he uttered,

"Yes, a new one. Only this one might be a bit hard to execute if you lack the needed knowledge to carry it out. But if done well, it would easily rake in a lot of money, far more than what the other products have been bringing in."

Hearing this, there was no way they could not be intrigued by it. The fact Dorian brought the idea to them and not someone else was an honor on its own.

"Please, let us hear it. This company is here to carry out your every idea. Hard or not, it's our duty to see it through," Rebecca spoke, her hand on her chest.

Maria reached to the side and pulled out a bunch of papers. She then safely placed them on the table and moved them towards Eric.

This was then followed by Dorian's voice. "Read through it and tell me if your people can bring it to reality."

Eric took his time to read the ideas written on the paper. It contained information on how the product was going to be made, the pricing of the product, and where and when it was going to be launched for the first time before a public distribution.

Every word Eric read was followed by a small smirk on his face.

It was quite obvious he was seeing the beauty of the idea, and he was getting even more excited by the second.

After he was done reading, he gently placed the paper on the table.

"Now I see why you said this would earn far more than our other projects. Honestly, your mind is far different from ours. Only you can think of something this crazy," Eric smiled, placing the paper on the table.

Rebecca smiled. She didn't care to know what was written there; if her husband was already this excited, then it had to be good.

"But I have a question…" Eric's smile faded, giving way to his business persona.

"I'd be scared if you didn't have any," Dorian leaned back against the chair. "Sure, ask away."

"The product here is an automatic temperature control product, using volcanic ash to create a paint-like texture that can regulate temperature depending on the weather and season. And also using this same volcanic ash for making armor and clothes. I don't fully understand the mechanics behind it, then."

Dorian grinned. "Expected as much. Here, I'll explain it to you."

He cleared his throat and began explaining the process to Eric.

He went as followed:

Once the processed volcanic ash is completed, it is split into two paths.

The first, called the Volcanic Tephra, is muddy and pasty, which can be used for mana regulation and also for controlling temperature when used.

For example, painting a small room with Volcanic Tephra would regulate the room to fit a certain temperature.

If the weather was too cold, it would trigger the tephra, causing it to heat up and put the room in a state of neutral temperature.

Unlike having to stand in front of a fireplace to warm up or having to bathe in hot water when it gets too cold, this was far more efficient and less taxing.

But as for the second part, which was the impurities of the volcanic ash, this has very high mana conductivity.

And since it was usually liquid and slimy, using this to make weapons would further boost the quality of magic weapons and armors.

As for clothes, since the impurities can be infinitely powered by mana, it can also help in making self-repairing clothes and automated magic-enhanced clothes. With the help of an Alchemist, it would be more than perfect.

After hearing the explanation, Rebecca and her husband had their jaws dropped at the idea.

"You really thought this through. Just when I think you can't amaze me any more than you already have, you go and do this." Eric couldn't even smile; the surprise was etched hard on his face.

"As long as you are able to do this, then its success is all but guaranteed."

'Mainly because I already used my merchant title to secure it, but there is no need for them to know that.'
