Chapter 213: Tied by Secrets

Lisa pushed the door open—

And froze.

Inside the office, Yohan and the professor were in a position so awkward it took her brain a full second to even register what she was seeing.

"Huh…?" The word slipped out before she could stop it.

Minji's eyes widened in panic, her body stiff as if struck by lightning. "W-Wait—!"

"So—sorry…!" Lisa blurted out, already retreating. She spun on her heel and bolted out the office, slamming the door shut behind her.

Outside, she collapsed against the wall beside the door, her chest rising sharply as she struggled to breathe.

'What… what did I just see…? Yohan and the professor…?'

Her mind rejected it outright.

The image replayed again and again in sickening clarity, no matter how hard she tried to shake it. Of all people—the professor. And with Yohan?

It was impossible. Unthinkable.

And yet… she saw it.

She pressed her palms to her face.

Just then, the door creaked open.

Lisa stiffened as Yohan stepped out calmly, fully dressed—though the top buttons of his shirt were still undone.

"Hey," he said casually.

Their eyes met.

They stood there in silence, frozen in an unspoken staring contest, until Lisa finally looked away, her face burning pink.

Unlike Minji, Yohan had little to lose. He wasn't worried about getting caught.

Inside the office, Minji was unraveling.

'Oh my god… what have I done?

I— I just got caught having sex with a student—'

She gnawed nervously at her nails, pacing back and forth in a tight loop.

Then she stopped.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Wait…" she muttered. "Yohan isn't really a student…"

Her breathing steadied, just a little.

"I haven't done anything wrong," she whispered, forcing the words to sound true. "It's just… two hardworking adults enjoying each other's company."

'But if she goes around telling people what she just saw… my reputation will be completely ruined. I could still get fired anyway'

Minji shook her head, forcing the spiraling thought away.

"No… that won't happen."

'Yohan said he'd make sure she keeps quiet.

For now… I just have to trust him'

Repeating it to herself helped her calm down— if only a little.

---

At the vending machine, Yohan slipped some coins in and pulled out a can of soda, handing it to Lisa. She accepted it quietly, still dazed, her eyes fixed on the floor.

"Thank you," she murmured.

The can in his own hand popped open with a soft fizz as he took a small sip. The silence between them stretched uncomfortably, thick with everything unsaid.

He hesitated.

"So… about what you saw—"

"I understand," she cut in quickly. "It's none of my business. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. I know how to keep a secret."

"Okay… thanks." He let out a short breath of relief.

He could trust her. After all, they already shared one secret.

Her fingers tightened slightly around the cold can.

"He wants me to bring some girls over this Friday," she said quietly.

Yohan's brows lifted. "So soon?"

"It usually takes longer," she replied, "but some big-shot executives are coming into town. He told me to make sure the girls are… extra pretty."

Her voice hardened at the end.

"If we're going to take them down," she added, "this is our chance."

"Yeah," Yohan nodded. "You're right."

For a brief moment, doubt flickered through his mind.

'How much can I really trust Lisa?'

He was trying to be cautious now and look at every possibility and one of them was that she had already informed Freddie of his involvement.

Then another memory surfaced, the way she had broken down in his arms, shaking, crying, desperate for everything to end.

That wasn't the behavior of someone trying to deceive him.

That was the behavior of someone trapped and looking for a way out.

"Tell the professor I'll come by tomorrow to hand over the report," Lisa said before turning to leave.

Yohan let out a quiet sigh as he watched her disappear down the hallway. Now that he'd gotten to know her better, she was nothing like the image he'd first built in his head.

That bubbly, approachable exterior had been masking a girl drowning in guilt over everything she'd done.

He almost felt sorry for her.

He returned to the professor's office and explained the situation. Minji was still visibly uneasy, but some of the tension drained from her shoulders as she listened.

At least she was a little relieved.

Outside, Yohan kicked a loose stone across the pavement with irritation.

'Why didn't she want to continue where we left off? I already told her it wasn't a problem…'

He exhaled sharply, frustrated—and painfully aware that he was leaving far from satisfied, his hand cock throbbing inside his pants.

Soon, the gym building came into view.

A grin tugged at his lips as Jenna crossed his mind.

'At least I'll get to train… And maybe burn off some of this tension'

Unbeknownst to him, someone had been trailing his steps from a distance.

---

"Did you tell your uncle about what happened with Yohan?" Jasper asked.

Freddie was bent against a wall in one of the hidden corners of campus, cigarette smoke curling above his head.

"Yeah," Freddie muttered, still scrolling through the comments on their latest video.

"And?" Jasper pressed.

Freddie scoffed. "What do you think? He blew up. Blamed me for taking Yohan to the bar and letting him see everything. Like it was my fault the drugs didn't work the way they were supposed to."

"Yeah, it's that bastard Yohan's fault," Hazard added from behind them as he finished relieving himself and zipped up.

"I can't stand that guy," Jasper spat. "Especially now that he's walking around like he owns the place."

"Why don't we just take him out ourselves?" Hazard grinned, shadowboxing the air. "I've been itching to put my skills to real use."

"No," Freddie said flatly. "If we want what we were promised, we do this exactly the chairman's way. Meaning no moving without his approval."

Hazard sighed, raking a hand through his red-and-black hair. "So what's going to happen to the little bastard?"

Freddie's lips curled.

"Relax. The chairman already sent someone to deal with him."
