"Young master, I can sense the Divine Master's inheritance within your body. If you agree to save our ancestor, we will surely repay you with all our might," Ling'er pleaded.

"You mentioned I have some Divine Master inheritance, but I don't know what you're talking about. How can I save someone?" Chen Guan looked at Ling'er thoughtfully.

He still couldn't figure out what exactly a Divine Master was that Ling'er spoke of.

There were two things on him that could be called an inheritance: one was the Secret Technique of One, originating from the Secret Technique created by the Emperor Ancestor. The Emperor Ancestor, while known by other names, was always referred to by titles like Emperor or Ancestor; he had never heard of anything referred to as Divine Master.

The other inheritance came from Chunyang Temple, after being enlightened by the Stone Man, which became the Pure Yang Sword Immortal.

Chen Guan wasn't too clear about the origins of Chunyang Temple and the Stone Man, but the Pure Yang Sword Immortal, being a purely offensive Secret Skill, didn't seem suitable for saving people, right?

Hearing Chen Guan's words, Ling'er had a peculiar look on her face, but didn't get up. She just raised her head, her water-like eyes welled with tears as she gazed at Chen Guan and said, "Young master, please don't hide from me; I can sense it, your Primordial Energy carries the aura of a Divine Master. You must be a successor of the Divine Master; please save our ancestor, only the power inherited from the Divine Master can save our ancestor."

Upon hearing Ling'er's words, a light bulb suddenly went off in Chen Guan's head.

He realized who the Divine Master Ling'er referred to was. His current Primordial Energy was transformed into the Alien Elemental Energy known as Spiritual Power. Before it became Alien Elemental, Primordial Energy was all the same, with no distinction.

Aside from the Secret Technique of One, the force that turned Primordial Energy into Spiritual Power came from the Vermilion Pill soaked by the Spirit Devouring God's blood.

The Spirit Devouring God also possessed the nickname "Secret Realm Gardener," although this was a name humans gave it.

Indeed, the Spirit Devouring God had the ability to cultivate Heavenly and Earthly Treasures, but generally, it only did so when it needed to lure Secret Spirits.

"Then it all makes sense, the Spirit Devouring God has a planting ability, isn't that like being a master of plants? The Divine Master Ling'er refers to must be it for certain. Ling'er could sense the attributes of the Spirit Devouring God's power within my Spiritual Power, so she assumed I was a successor of the Spirit Devouring God. But what does she know, I just happened to acquire the Spirit Devouring God's blood and had a Second Awakening," thought Chen Guan.

"Since you discerned it, it's fate that brings us together, but you must not mention this to anyone else," Chen Guan said righteously.

"Rest assured, young master, we would never dare to disclose that you are a successor of the Divine Master, or we will surely be struck by lightning," Ling'er immediately raised her arm and vowed with three fingers pointed skyward.

Chen Guan nodded slightly, waved his hand, and said, "You may all rise."

"Young master, have you agreed to save our ancestor?" Ling'er was overjoyed.

"Since fate has brought us together, I can try my best, but my cultivation level is shallow. Even though I possess the Divine Master's inheritance, it is still just the bare surface of entry, and I'm not sure if I can save her," Chen Guan cautiously left himself a way out, fearing the people might turn hostile if he failed.

However, Chen Guan believed they probably wouldn't dare; since they held the Spirit Devouring God in such reverence, they likely wouldn't trouble someone they considered to be his descendant.

"The Divine Master's power is boundless; even if you're a mere novice, it's more than enough to save our ancestor," Ling'er exclaimed joyfully, breaking into a smile through tears.

Her smile was indeed breathtakingly beautiful, pure in every sense.

"Take me to see it first," Chen Guan dared not make any promises.

Ling'er quickly got up and led Chen Guan into the Reishi Castle.

The Reishi Castle resembled an actual human-inhabited castle, not only filled with beautiful women but also numerous beastlike Secret Spirits. However, these beast Secret Spirits were miniature versions, making the entire castle seem like a fairy tale world.

Ling'er brought Chen Guan to the center of the castle, entering a palace where there lay a bed made of Lingzhi, and on it rested a wooden statue.

What Chen Guan saw was a wooden statue, appearing as a woman in ceremonial dress.

The woman's appearance was exceptionally beautiful, yet it carried an innate air of motherly grace. Despite her beauty, an inexplicable sense of maternal love overshadowed it, easily making one overlook her looks, succumbing to her temperament.

"This is our ancestor," Ling'er lay beside the Lingzhi bed, placing her hand on the wooden statue, and whispered, "Ancestor, I have brought the Divine Master's successor, your illness can be cured."

The wooden statue, however, showed no response, remaining as lifeless as ever.

"Why did she turn into this?" Chen Guan pondered aloud.

Ling'er sighed, "A few days ago, a Secret Spirit calling itself the Halfday God Emperor somehow found our Zixian Valley and attempted to devour our Zixian clan. The ancestor fought fiercely to protect our entire clan. Though she repelled the Halfday God Emperor, she was severely wounded, causing her body to begin to petrify into wood."

"Woodification is indeed the ultimate fate of our Zixian clan, an unavoidable end for all. But with the ancestor's level of cultivation and ability, if she hadn't been forced to protect us, she wouldn't have been injured by the Halfday God Emperor and wouldn't be starting to woodify now..."

From Ling'er's recount, Chen Guan roughly grasped the situation's cause and effect.

He had not heard of the Halfday God Emperor, nor did he know that the Beimang Mountain Secret Realm harbored such a Secret Spirit.

Ghost Emperor was often mentioned, but Beimang Mountain was filled with Emperor's Tombs, with many Ghost Emperors, making it impossible for Chen Guan to recognize them all or know if the Halfday God Emperor was among the Ghost Emperors.

"In this situation, I can only try my best, not knowing if it will be effective," Chen Guan contemplated out loud.

"As long as the young master tries, our Zixian clan will be eternally grateful," Ling'er spoke, preparing to express her gratitude once more, continuing, "The power of the Divine Master is miraculous beyond measure, able to bring dead things back to life. You, young master, have received its true inheritance, surely you can save our ancestor."

"Where is the Primordial Energy Sea of your Zixian clan?" Chen Guan asked Ling'er.

Ling'er hastened to point out the spot for Chen Guan, who nodded, activated his own Spiritual Power, then reached out and pressed on the wooden statue's Primordial Energy Sea area, transferring his Spiritual Power drop by drop.

Without being a true Spirit Devouring God inheritor, he had no knowledge of how to heal, thus treating a dead horse like a living one.

After all, he had already set the expectation beforehand, and if it didn't work, Ling'er couldn't blame him.

Strangely enough, although it was just a wooden statue, as Chen Guan's Spiritual Power entered, he felt the statue soak it up like a sponge.

As the Spiritual Power continued to flow in, Chen Guan witnessed an incredible sight.

The wooden statue of the Zhi Xian Ancestor, under the nourishment of Spiritual Power, gradually came to life, slowly transforming from a wooden statue into a vibrant, beautiful woman.

Reviving the dead and making the impossible possible.

Chen Guan hadn't expected his Spiritual Power to have such an extraordinary effect; previously, he simply thought his Alien Elemental Energy was merely more pure and condensed than others'.
