Mythical Era: My Evolution into a Celestial Beast

Chapter 1019: Silver Wings of Time Bloodline Extraction (I)

So there's romance involved?Staring at the fork-horned demon king, who had just betrayed its soul and faith for the sake of Brooks, Chen Chu couldn't help but feel as if he were witnessing two rugged men locked in an impassioned gaze.

That impression came mostly from Guludeen's burly and hulking physique, along with its brutish, savage features. Chen Chu didn't think of it as female even for a moment. After all, while the true demons appeared monstrous, the difference between males and females was still quite obvious. Tarorya, who had once wounded him with three blades, looked every bit like a stunning human beauty with violet hair and a seductive figure.

Now, facing the fork-horned demon king's serious gaze, Brooks grew visibly uncomfortable and instinctively shook his head. "Forget it. Lord Divine Might, just kill it."

"You sure?" Chen Chu paused.

Brooks quickly added, "Kidding, my lord. Please don't take it seriously."

So there really is something going on.Watching the scene unfold, Chen Chu became more certain of his suspicion. He hadn't expected the heir of one of West Meng's top conglomerates to have such unique tastes; then again, he had heard that things were more open-minded on that side of the world.

While Chen Chu pondered the matter, Brooks became a streak of black light as he flew over to Guludeen. At the same moment, a silver eye slowly emerged on Chen Chu's brow. Everything around him immediately faded from perception. He stood upon the void, surrounded by countless white light streams rushing past like a cosmic flood.

Each time his gaze paused on one of those flying streams, a torrent of information surged into his mind like an exploding universe, sending waves through his consciousness. Given the strength of his body, Chen Chu's mind could process information faster than most supercomputers, which only highlighted how immense that flow of data was.

He focused his thoughts and gave up trying to glimpse the future, instead following a flash of premonition that passed through his heart. After his Insightful Eye had evolved into a high-level divine ability, it allowed him not only to see through illusions and dangers along his line of sight, but also to capture brief fragments of the future. However, trying to peer into the future consumed too much energy and couldn't be used recklessly.

The silver eye on his brow slowly closed, having stayed open for less than a second. He had sensed no danger or unease from Guludeen. That meant its surrender was likely genuine. While the Insightful Eye's perception wasn't always completely accurate, anything capable of masking itself from him had to be at least at the ancient titan level or above, and this demon king clearly wasn't one of them.

Half an hour later, two figures shrouded in demonic qi dove into the sea of trees below and vanished. Watching the two people leave, Chen Chu shot into the sky, transforming into a blurred phantom that hovered between illusion and reality as he raced off into the distance.

Under the night sky, he maintained a flight altitude of around a hundred kilometers. The land beneath him rose and fell in waves of mountains. One after another, peaks measuring thousands to tens of thousands of meters receded behind him. Between the peaks, clouds drifted and coiled. From time to time, violent howls and agonized wails echoed out, bringing with them a primal chill.

This was the mythical world: vast, mysterious, and magnificent.

While Chen Chu soared across more than a hundred thousand kilometers, admiring the landscape along the way, a ferocious roar suddenly erupted from a towering peak over fifty thousand meters high.

The sound wave shattered the peak, and trees exploded into the air. A colossal beast, over eight hundred meters long and exuding the aura of a middle-stage mythical-level beast, emerged from the mist, resembling a black tiger with wings. Black storms circled around it, and its eyes radiated bloodthirst and savagery as it charged at Chen Chu atop fierce winds.

Chen Chu had kept his presence hidden in preparation for ambushing a demon god, and the mythical beast had mistaken him for an intruder in its territory.

"Seeking death." Chen Chu's gaze remained cold as he casually swiped a hand through the air.

Rip!

The fabric of space tore open like brittle cloth, revealing a massive rift stretching hundreds of kilometers. Beyond it lay a world filled with thunderbolts and storms.

Boom!

The rift opened wide like a devouring maw. Space collapsed, mountains trembled, and the land caved in from the horrifying suction.

Roar!

The black-winged beast howled in terror. Black flames engulfed its body, its size doubled, and its flesh looked as though it had been forged from divine black iron.

It didn't matter. The planar world devoured everything within a thousand-kilometer radius. The mythical beast, the terrain, and all else vanished into a massive sky crater.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Giant rocks, soil, and thousand-meter-tall trees were torn apart the moment they entered the plane, shredded by violent black gales. Even the mythical beast's soul and will were annihilated by the violet lightning flickering through the skies.

As the plane that bore the supreme principle expanded to ten thousand kilometers, it began to reveal the might of a true world. However, it was also the very foundation of Chen Chu's path to ascension[1], and was critically important. If damaged, it would affect his cultivation progress, so he only used it when exterminating pests.

After casually eliminating a mythical beast, Chen Chu resumed his journey and quickly crossed several hundred thousand kilometers to reach his destination.

Beneath the night sky, space ahead had already shattered and warped across tens of thousands of kilometers, forming a pitch-black forbidden zone that stretched across the heavens and earth.

On the left edge of that storm-filled forbidden zone stood a forest made entirely of silver trees, their branches and leaves gleaming with light. A white mist drifted through the woods, resembling the gateway into the forbidden zone itself.

Hum!

Behind Chen Chu, space and time rippled, and a transparent river over three thousand meters long slowly emerged. Upon its shimmering surface stood two figures, dressed in black imperial robes. They both appeared to be Chen Chu, yet one of them radiated only the aura of a heavenly king, while the other possessed the aura of a beginning-stage supreme powerhouse.

Boom!

The transparent river trembled. The Chen Chu emanating supreme-powerhouse-level power stepped off the river's surface and turned into a silver light, ripping through the distorted spatial barrier of the silver forest and surging directly into the forbidden zone.

The moment the temporal true form entered the forbidden zone, the scene instantly shifted into a world of pure white light, vastly different from the pitch-black appearance seen from the outer world. These lights were extremely sharp, materialized phenomena formed after space shattered. They were so sharp that even a mythical creature would be severely wounded upon entry and could perish with the slightest misstep. Then, nothing would remain.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Golden-white lightning swirled around the temporal form, crushing all in his path as he shot toward the center of the forbidden zone like a piercing beam of light. By this point, space had almost completely lost its form. A massive white vortex pierced through the deep void, forming a giant black gap at its center.

Boom!

Time and space trembled as the temporal form plunged straight into the vortex's heart. Radiant silver light erupted from him and transformed into a pair of magnificent wings spanning a thousand meters, looking as if they were forged from solid silver metal.

These wings were engraved with intricate rune traces. The surrounding space and time distorted, and a powerful aura spread throughout the forbidden zone. At first glance, the silver wings gave off the unmistakable impression of a time-based supreme treasure.

The moment the temporal form manifested silver wings, the entire dark forbidden zone quaked. At its center, a silver pillar of light, ten thousand meters wide, shot into the sky, piercing through the heavens. Wind and clouds gathered, and dense transcendent energy formed dozens of silver halos around the light pillar, spreading across hundreds and even thousands of kilometers and illuminating the entire night sky.

The spectacle was so vast and overwhelming that all life within hundreds of thousands of kilometers witnessed it. Even some true demons stationed on the borders of the Purgatory Empires vaguely caught glimpses of the silver light flashing in the distance.

Outside the forbidden zone, Chen Chu gazed at the silver pillar that pierced the heavens, then silently disappeared. Even the traces of his existence in the world were completely wiped out with the power of his divine abilities. Without actively releasing killing intent, even a demon god of equal level standing right in front of him would be unable to sense him.

Deep within a dimensional rift, Chen Chu merged almost completely with the surrounding void, quietly awaiting Deorus' arrival. At the same time, he could clearly feel the power inside the Mark of Temporal Reincarnation rapidly draining away.

The temporal true form was powerful, but maintaining its presence also consumed a tremendous amount of time power. Without going all out, Chen Chu estimated it would last around one month.
