Peerless Immortal Emperor in City

Chapter 306 Save Me!

In the living room were Xia Shuang, Wu Yuqing, and Qin Yun.

Xia Shuang wore a pink spaghetti strap tank top, revealing her smooth, rounded shoulders and exquisite collarbones. The top perfectly outlined her figure. Her long, fair legs, like limbs carved from fine jade, were casually propped up. When she saw Qin Heng return, her cheeks flushed red, and she promptly sat up.

After all, in her view, she was a guest here; it wasn't proper to be too relaxed in front of the host. The reason she had been so casual earlier was that Qin Heng wasn't home.

Plus, she was already familiar with Qin Yun. Since Qin Yun was a girl, Xia Shuang felt more at ease in her presence. Now that Qin Heng was back, however, she felt a bit shy and nearly sat up formally.

Qin Heng didn't mind. He nodded at her and offered a slight smile as a greeting.

On the other side of the sofa sat Wu Yuqing. She wore a beige, satin-like nightgown that was very smooth and extremely thin.

Perhaps the room was a bit hot, or maybe she felt buttoning up fully would be too stifling. So, even with the air conditioner on, the top two buttons of Wu Yuqing's nightgown were undone. This allowed her to breathe comfortably and not feel overheated.

Qin Heng's gaze remained calm; he didn't even glance over as he greeted Wu Yuqing. He then walked over and sat down on the sofa beside Qin Yun.

Initially, Wu Yuqing hadn't noticed Qin Heng's return. She was only alerted when Xia Shuang moved. Suddenly aware of Qin Heng's presence, she glanced at Xia Shuang, not immediately realizing anything was amiss.

However, women often have an intuition about these things. About three seconds later, she suddenly sensed something was off. Her cheeks instantly turned crimson, and she hurriedly clutched her hands to her chest.

She covered herself tightly and quickly fastened the two undone buttons.

Her nightgown had been loose and comfortable when the buttons were undone. Now that they were all fastened, however, she felt a bit stifled.

"I—I'm going to change," Wu Yuqing stammered. Her face flushed, she scrambled up from the sofa. Her feet fumbled into her pink slippers—left on right, right on left—and she fled to her room in a fluster.

"Hahahaha!" Qin Yun burst out laughing. Watching Wu Yuqing's frantic retreat and Xia Shuang's now prim and proper posture, she shook with mirth.

Qin Yun's attire was more demure: a cute red nightgown that seemed silky and very thin, yet it covered her well. Only her fair calves and small, dainty feet were exposed, giving her a playful and adorable look.

After a moment, Wu Yuqing's door opened.

"Sorry about that. I'm decent now," Wu Yuqing said as she emerged, now dressed in a pure white sundress.

She still looked youthful and lovely, now with an added touch of innocence. It had to be said that attractive people look good in anything; even a simple white sundress could appear uniquely stylish on her.

"Brother! Did you get an eyeful just now?" Qin Yun hopped off the sofa and said with a grin, "Actually, I was the one who persuaded our two sisters here to wear those thin nightgowns. They were really hesitant at first."

"Little Yun…"

"Little Yun!!"

Wu Yuqing and Xia Shuang were both mortified and anxious. They didn't blame Qin Yun. After all, their nightgowns were actually quite modest; if they had just been a bit more careful with their posture, nothing would have been revealed.

But the sofa in Qin Heng's home was just too comfortable. It was a top-of-the-line luxury piece imported from abroad, valued at one million yuan!

Lying on it was incredibly relaxing. It was easy to get lost in its plushness, making them forget everything else and just want to melt into its embrace.

They had even forgotten Qin Heng would be back soon and hadn't paid attention to their poses, which led to the earlier situation.

It was their own carelessness, not Qin Yun's fault.

Qin Yun stepping forward to explain like this... she must be trying to stop Qin Heng from getting too good a look at us, Xia Shuang and Wu Yuqing mused, trying to guess Qin Yun's intentions.

Then, they glanced at Qin Heng's expression, curious to see his reaction.

After all, he had just witnessed an alluring sight that many men coveted but would never have the chance to see. If he were an ordinary man, he probably would have been too flustered to speak.

However, Qin Heng's expression remained unchanged. He merely nodded at them and offered a slight smile, showing no sign of excitement.

Even his gaze was perfectly normal.

No obsession, no astonishment, not even a hint of awkwardness or apology.

It was as if—he had seen nothing at all!

Wu Yuqing and Xia Shuang were stunned, both momentarily frozen.

Although they hadn't intended for that to happen, the fact that the man who had seen them in a vulnerable moment showed absolutely no reaction was... baffling?

This, this! Wasn't that a huge blow to their egos?!

In the past, Wu Yuqing and Xia Shuang had never doubted their charm. After all, during high school, countless boys had passed them love notes.

They were, without a doubt, campus belles.

And now, to be utterly ignored?!

This left them both feeling indignant but unable to voice their frustration. They could only secretly grind their teeth and vow to get even with Qin Heng once he arrived in Beijing!

They were both headed to university in Beijing.

So was Qin Heng.

There would be plenty of opportunities to meet and interact in the future.

Qin Heng naturally noticed the shift in Wu Yuqing's and Xia Shuang's moods. Truthfully, he had found the earlier sight quite appealing, but given his cultivation and mental fortitude, he naturally wouldn't betray any outward reaction.

Especially not in front of his younger sister, Qin Yun.

"Little Yun, causing trouble again!" Qin Heng ruffled Qin Yun's hair, mussing up her smooth locks. He glanced around and asked, "Where are your Sister Ran Ran and Yun Lingsu?"

"Ling Su is in the kitchen cooking. I didn't expect her to be so good at both swordsmanship and cooking, though she's still not as good as Sister Ran Ran, of course." Qin Yun continued, "Oh, right, Sister Ran Ran called earlier. She said the museum where she's part-timing has foreign visitors, and her boss asked her to join them for a dinner, so she'll be back late."

"A dinner? With foreign visitors?" Qin Heng frowned slightly. "Which country are they from? And what time does the dinner start?"

"Sister Ran Ran said they're from England, I think." Qin Yun thought for a moment before adding, "The dinner was scheduled for nine o'clock, so it should have started about fifteen minutes ago. What's wrong, Brother?"

DING-DONG!

Just then, Qin Heng's phone chimed with a WeChat notification.

Qin Heng opened WeChat. It was a message from Song Ningran. His expression changed instantly.

"Save me..."
