Reborn with Consumption System

Chapter 137: Generous to a Fault

A little after 4 o'clock, Han Lie was dragged out to eat by Pan Ge.

As coincidence would have it, they bumped into Xi Luting, Yu Yun, Fang Feifei, and others returning from outside.

Damn it, such bad luck... Han Lie cursed inwardly but didn't panic; he was mentally prepared for this. Ugh, this blasted school is too small. It was only a matter of time before we'd run into each other.

The moment she saw Xi Luting, Pan Ge immediately latched onto Han Lie's arm, leaning her entire body against him.

Naiyun and Fang Feifei stared, dumbfounded. It was a "holy crap" moment, making them feel as if all their previous kindness had been utterly wasted.

Han Lie, however, was thick-skinned and greeted everyone with a beaming smile, "Heading back to the dorms?"

Fang Feifei asked with quivering lips, "You two..."

Han Lie sighed with feigned distress. "She insists on clinging to me, making me her new meal ticket..."

SMACK!

He immediately received a punch in the ribs.

Pan Ge "subtly" greeted Xi Luting, "Ting Ting, have you eaten? Want to join us?"

Xi Luting glanced over, her face cold, her lips curling into a sneer.

"Take your dog and scram!"

Well, well. Haven't disciplined her for three days, and she's already bold enough to tear the roof down! Han Lie felt the urge to teach her a lesson again, but she gave him no chance. After cursing, she turned and walked away, as if she didn't know him at all.

Yes, that's the kind of decisive, cruel little attitude that's so captivating!

Han Lie dragged Pan Ge away, immediately egging her on, "Xi Luting is too arrogant. Arrange to meet her this weekend, and I'll help you teach her a lesson!"

Hearing this, Pan Ge was thrilled. That scoundrel's Level 3 instigation skill really wasn't learned in vain!

"Okay!" she exclaimed, clenching her little fists fiercely. Another rotten idea readily sprang to her mind, "I'll invite her to the bathhouse. Then we can corner her in the steam room. You hold her down, and I'll give her a beating!"

Perfect, perfect, absolutely perfect! Han Lie thought, giving her a thumbs-up and sharing a wicked snicker with her.

However, the reasons for their laughter were probably not quite the same...

Pan Ge, the rich girl, treated Han Lie to a Western meal. Then, without being overly clingy, she accompanied her quasi-boyfriend to the gym.

She lazed around the equipment area for about ten minutes, then occupied herself with her phone.

She didn't disturb Han Lie's workout at all; in this regard, she was much better behaved than Xi Luting.

At 8 o'clock, when the workout ended, Han Lie thought she would pester him to go to a hotel for some "fun," but instead, she left cleanly and decisively.

"That's it?" Han Lie was a bit stunned.

"What else?" she smirked slyly, waving her hand. "Be good now. Go do what you need to do. I've got to get home~~~"

She left just like that, decisively and without any lingering.

Han Lie stroked his chin and sighed. These girls, each one is better at flirting than the last... A sense of proportion is crucial in the early stages of a relationship. Blind dedication and obsessive clinging will definitely not lead to a good outcome. Knowing how to offer just enough sweetness without overdoing it, and then pulling back at the right moment—that's what a truly smart person does. Normally, if you date ten times, finding even one such smart girl means you've struck gold. Such a woman is lively and charming; with a little nurturing, she becomes incredibly engaging, adept at all sorts of playful scenarios, and utterly irresistible.

And Han Lie had encountered three such women. Xi Luting wasn't doing it intentionally, but she definitely had him hooked. Pan Ge was clearly a beginner, but her learning ability was astounding; after just a couple of bewildered days, she had mastered the push-and-pull technique. Chen Yanfei, on the other hand, was a natural-born queen of flirtation. Her game was strong even when she confessed last time, and her subsequent maintenance of distance was exquisite; she hadn't let Han Lie gain any real advantage to this day. Sigh, three goddesses, each more challenging than the last. When will I ever get to sleep with all of them together? As for that, Han Lie had basically given up hope. He was just praying that things wouldn't blow up in his face...

...

On his way back, Wang Xiaotian called, timing it perfectly.

"Young Master Han, are you out of the gym yet? The guys all miss you a lot. Want to come over?"

Han Lie refused outright. "You guys go ahead and have fun. I'm exhausted and plan to go back to the dorm to sleep."

Beating them wasn't an issue, but firstly, winning all the time wasn't good, and secondly, Han Lie couldn't be bothered with such paltry sums. Having a supportive father-in-law meant he could afford to be this arrogant!

Wang Xiaotian didn't try to persuade him further, but half an hour later, he showed up directly at Han Lie's dorm room.

"Young Master Han, there's something I'd like to discuss with you..."

"Why so formal? Go ahead," Han Lie replied.

Seeing the composed Han Lie, Wang Xiaotian felt his heart pound a little but still forced a smile and began to speak.

"Well, it's like this: Jun, Fang, and the others are having a great time at the Marriott. Everyone finds your place exceptionally comfortable and would like to stay a bit longer. But we can't just keep occupying your suite, affecting your... uh... lady-charming and resting time, right? So, I was thinking, instead of just borrowing it, what if we paid you rent, weekly or monthly? You could just give us a bit of a discount..."

"Oh!" Han Lie feigned a look of sudden realization. His inner award-winning actor was online.

"That's a great idea!"

Hearing Han Lie's agreement, Wang Xiaotian's face lit up. "So, you think it's doable?"

"Absolutely!" Han Lie was exceptionally magnanimous. "If you were to rent it directly from the hotel annually, I figure the guys might not have that much cash readily available. And booking month-to-month won't get you much of a discount. That's what you're thinking, right?"

"Exactly, exactly!" Wang Xiaotian nodded eagerly, like a chicken pecking at grain. "That's the problem. Paying for a suite of this caliber all at once is indeed a bit of a strain..."

"Alright." Han Lie waved his hand magnanimously. "Forget the original price. 500,000 a month. You guys can just use it."

Wang Xiaotian quickly did the math and was ecstatic.

His original bottom line was 20,000 a day, totaling 600,000 a month. He had expected to put in a lot more effort to negotiate, but he never thought Young Master Han would be this reasonable...
