Unknown Time Later…
In the familiar Aeon Plane, within Shadowcrest Castle, Maximus was playing with his newborn son, Nash.
"Ba~ Ba~"
"What do you want, kid?" Maximus asked, lovingly watching as his child pointed at the snacks on the table.
"Ba~"
As though he understood, Nash pointed to the gleaming red dessert with a drool hanging from his mouth.
Although only a few months old, Nash already showed signs of being a foodie.
"Alright, here…"
Maximus nodded, feeding Nash a spoonful of the sweet dessert.
As he was about to take another spoonful, Iris, Nash's mother, quickly stopped him.
"That's enough! Too much sweetness isn't good for the body!"
"Ba!"
Patting her hand that stopped his father from feeding him, Nash began to complain.
"No means no!"
"Ba!"
"No!"
"Ba!"
"No!"
"Ba! Ba! Ba!"
"No. No. No!"
Seeing the endless back-and-forth, Maximus couldn't help but chuckle.
"What are you laughing at?!" Iris turned toward him with a fierce look in her eyes.
"I'm just smiling at how cute you are~" Maximus muttered, pinching her cheeks.
"Hmph! What a sweet-mouthed guy! This little chimp must've inherited his greediness for food from you."
"It should be. However, this appearance is definitely yours." Maximus smiled, nodding.
Nash's appearance was truly dazzling.
With the air of immortality and god-like presence, he was the cutest child in the Shadowcrest family.
Looking at the cute little thing, most of Maximus' wives were even influenced, unable to wait to have children of their own, and would drag him home every night.
Fortunately, having advanced to a chaos being, Maximus could easily modify the heavenly chaos limits for himself.
No matter how many children he had or how much strength he possessed, as long as he wanted it, he could produce offspring whenever or wherever he pleased.
Of course, to maintain the surprise and sense of accomplishment, Maximus refrained from using his power to directly produce children.
Otherwise, he could create an endless army of children.
Without emotional connections with his wives, creating children would be nothing more than a clone of flesh and blood.
After all, just as they desired the child, the same could be said to the process of making them.
However, due to their strength, while Maximus was no longer limited by offspring, producing a child was still harder than ascending to the sky.
Maximus didn't know how much grass he had to plow, how much land he had to till, or how much he had to graze before one of his wives became pregnant.
Fortunately, he was also enjoying the process.
Every day, every moment, they enjoyed each other's company, as if eternity wasn't enough to make them feel each other's love.
Looking at Nash, who was pouting so hard that they could hang something from his mouth, Maximus chuckled again.
"You, kid! All you do is eat! If you don't stop, you'll end up like your old niece, Maxine and get fat!" Maximus teased.
"What do you mean, Grandfather?! I'm not fat! I'm cute!" Maxine quickly retorted, stuffing her face with food.
Among the Shadowcrest family, Nash and Maxine had the closest relationship. As fellow foodies, Nash preferred to spend more time with Maxine than with his parents.
"Wipe your face first before saying that. You'll teach Nash bad manners!" Maximus lightly scolded.
"Oh~…"
Teasing and laughing, the smile on Iris' face quickly faded as she remembered something.
"Husband… are we going to proceed with the thing you are talking about?"
"Hmm, Nash is the only one who can proceed with the plan. We've already acclimated to the chaotic laws of this chaos void region." Maximus sighed.
The plan they were discussing was to restore Earth, or more specifically, the Universe Plane they had come from.
While Maximus could easily do it with his current abilities, he couldn't carry out the subsequent plan.
As a chaos being, regardless of his intentions, directly interfering with another chaos void region would cause backlash to the chaos laws.
Instead of restoring the Universe Plane, he might even make it worse.
Thus, among the Shadowcrest family, only Nash, who hadn't trained or been tainted by the Chaos laws, could proceed.
Feeling worried and saddened by the mission given to her son at such a young age, Iris couldn't help but hold his arms tightly.
"Don't worry, with our son's talent and my help, it shouldn't take more than a few epochs before he succeeds. Before we even know it, Nash will return." Maximus smiled, offering comfort.
With their current strength, a few epochs were nothing more than a snap of a finger.
In such a short time, Maximus might not even have time to produce a sibling for Nash before he returned.
"A few epochs? Sigh~ Little Nash will have to work hard…" Iris was still worried.
While time meant little to them now, having experienced life in lower realms, they understood how vast such a span of time could feel.
Iris could only hope Nash wouldn't be lonely on his journey.
Seeing through her thoughts, Maximus shook his head teasingly.
"With his appearance, how could he be lonely? By the time he returns, he'll probably have more companions than I do!"
"Hmph! How could my son be such a player?!"
"Haha, we'll see…" Maximus laughed it off.
With his blood flowing through Nash, he was sure his son wouldn't experience just one romantic encounter.
"Hmph! A pervert! If you turn out like your father, let's see how I deal with you when you return!" Iris said, pinching Nash's cheeks.
"Ba! Ba!" Nash raised his hand, as if saying, "Trust me, mother!"
"You better be!~"
---
Soon, as thousands of years passed and Nash grew able to walk, Maximus brought some bad news.
"It's time to begin your training…"
"Training? What training?" Nash mumbled, still childish.
Over the years, he had only focused on eating and finding the most delicious food.
As for training? What was that? With his family's strength, status, and wealth, he didn't need to do anything.
"You'll understand soon enough…" Maximus sighed, looking at Nash's innocent face.
After this training, Nash would have to temporarily forget everything, as he would be sent to another chaos void region.
This would be their last encounter for a long while, causing the others to shed tears.
"Little Nash~ Take care of yourself. Don't forget to eat all the delicious food." Maxine cried the most, hugging Nash tightly in her arms.
"What do you mean, sister?"
Puzzled, Nash looked around, noticing the sad faces of everyone.
Not answering his question, each family member hugged Nash one after another, saying their goodbyes.
Before Nash could ask another question, he suddenly found himself in a completely different world, with no memory of the past.
Experiencing one world of ignorance after another, Nash began to undergo the same initiation Maximus had once experienced before his transmigration.
Ingraining every survival instinct into his origin, refining his spirit into the sharpest blade, and honing his will into an indestructible wall, Nash continued on the trial.
---
Meanwhile, as Nash faced his trial alone, everyone in the Shadowcrest family watched nervously.
Seeing how he struggled in the midst of the challenge, they couldn't help but clench their fists, cheering him on.
"You all continue watching. I still have something to do…" Maximus said, finally remembering something.
After sending Nash into training, Maximus recalled the promise he made when he first transmigrated.
He thought of the pitiful family of three, the originators of the Shadowcrest family, and realized he still hadn't resurrected them.
Weaving through the laws of the Aeon Plane, Maximus quickly found their lost origin.
Looking at the dilapidated piece of will that was barely recognizable, he realized that if he resurrected them normally, they wouldn't be themselves anymore.
Using the power of chaos, he traced back to epochs ago, restoring their will, consciousness, and origin to the state they were in before they died.
Creating an entirely new plane dedicated to them, Maximus placed them into an identical world they had once inhabited.
---
In the Imperious Realm, at Crestora Castle.
Arial Crestora, formerly known as Maximus Shadowcrest, slowly woke up from his slumber.
"Argh… What happened? Am I still alive?"
Looking at his injured body and remembering the cult attack, fear began to shroud his heart.
"Young Master, you're awake!"
"Alfred? How are mother and father? Are they alive?" Arial suddenly remembered their condition before they lost consciousness.
"Don't worry, young master. They've already woken up. They should be in better condition than you."
"That's good…"
Heaving a sigh of relief, Arial calmed down, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Knowing his parents were still alive, Arial began to think about their current situation.
In a barren land, with the cult's activity looming around, he wasn't sure how the Crestora family could continue their lives.
Suddenly, as if in a hallucination, lines of text appeared before his eyes.
[Maxim System Loading…]
"What is this?!"
---
"Haha, this is my gift to you, little guy." Maximus smiled, watching Arial's reaction.
Carrying the karma of chaos, his name or surname couldn't be used by anyone unrelated to him, or it would bring disaster.
Slightly modifying their memories, they could live as if it were just before.
Furthermore, to thank the family, Maximus created a dedicated system to make their life one of glory.
Checking the new Plane function as planned with various powerhouses being born and thriving, Maximus nodded in satisfaction.
"I've repaid my debt. The rest is for you to handle…"
---
Shifting his attention back to Nash, Maximus noticed his training was coming to an end.
Having lived as a mortal for billions of years, Nash's foundation was already polished and ready for the world.
"It's time for the final training simulation. Iris, why don't we join this time?"
"Gladly…" Iris nodded with excitement.
"Haha, then let's go…"
---
Soon, in a simulated version of Earth, in the last memory he had of the Universe Realm, Maximus and Iris held baby Nash in their hearts.
"Is this the world you lived in before?" Iris asked curiously.
Though suppressed to that of a mortal, Iris still had the consciousness of an Archon.
Looking at the ever-expanding universe, devoid of extraordinary energy, she was amazed that they could produce a weapon that rivaled a pseudo-Archon realm!
"Indeed, before Nash leaves, I want to give him some good memories." Maximus muttered, looking at baby Nash, still unaware of everything.
"Then, let's live this life to the fullest…"
Soon, like a normal husband and wife, they began living a humble life while taking care of Nash.
From a toddler, they sent Nash to school, watched him graduate, and then began to work and build an empire of technology.
As the decades passed, which felt like millions of years, they watched Nash grow into a capable young man.
One day, as he returned to his parents' house, Nash looked at them with curiosity.
"Mother, Father… who are you? Although I've known you all my life, it felt like I don't know anything about you." Nash paused, feeling his head begin to hurt.
"You'll understand soon enough. Once you complete your destiny, you can return and know everything."
"What do you mean?"
Suddenly, before his mind could explode with confusion, Nash stood in a daze, as his memory began to reset.
Ignoring the fact that he had parents, Nash continued his pursuit of life.
Amazed by the universe and the sea of stars, Nash led the advancement of technology.
From medicine to agriculture, transportation, and every industry, rapid progress was made.
However, at the peak of everything, as if Nash's time had reached its limit, the world collapsed, and Nash's origin condensed into light.
---
In the real world, watching Nash turn into a sphere of light, their eyes welled with tears.
Knowing he would be alone for epochs, they could only imagine the difficulties he would face.
"Don't worry, everything will fall into place. Moreover, no matter what, Nash will be safe and sound."
Looking at the ball of light, Maximus began to bestow it with an indestructible space of chaos.
With his power, together with Nash's spirit, will, origin, and unique ability, it was impervious to everything.
No matter how devastating the calamity, even against other chaos beings, he should remain safe.
Soon, after the unique invulnerable space was established, Maximus began to input an almost infinite amount of myriad energy for the restoration of the Universe Plane.
Restoring a destroyed plane to its original state required immense energy.
Furthermore, to give the Universe Plane an edge and ensure Nash wouldn't struggle too much, he began modifying the ordinary technological plane, infusing it with extraordinary energy.
More importantly, to give them time to cope with the dark beasts, Maximus created an alternate plane to contain and disperse the enemy.
Tinkering for a few more epochs, the sphere of light representing Nash's spirit, will, and origin grew more majestic.
"Now it's up to you…"
Releasing the light, Maximus blessed it with the power of the True Path, guiding it on the path of return.
Watching it quickly vanish amid the endless chaos, everyone's eyes welled up with sadness.
"It's okay, he will return…"
---
Turning their sadness into motivation, his family continued to strive for more.
Although they couldn't advance to chaos beings right away, they could still cultivate their path of law.
Meanwhile, after some time, Maximus finally unlocked the third and final seal of the Heavenly System.
"Let's see your true face…"
Since unlocking its second seal, Maximus knew the Heavenly System wasn't a product of the Planar Chaos Region.
Sure enough, after ascending to a Chaos Being, he realized it had a power blended into chaos.
It took countless epochs, but Maximus finally unlocked the final encryption.
Suddenly, as if the world opened to him, countless pieces of knowledge, information, and news about all other void regions flooded his mind.
"So that's it! Interesting…"
Created to share news and connect every chaos being, the Heavenly System seemed to have been made simply out of boredom.
Digesting the information stream, Maximus felt his worldview expand.
"So, there isn't just the innate chaos beings, but also chaos beings who independently ascended on their own like me…"
Looking at the vast world, Maximus felt the long-lost excitement and thrill of exploration reignite.
From the other chaos beings to special void regions and natural chaos disasters, it was like a new map had opened before him.
"Perfect, I also need Myriad Essence for my family…" Maximus smiled, filled with anticipation.
He thought the Primordial Plane Source could copy and reproduce Myriad Essence, but it seemed he had overestimated its abilities.
Myriad Essence was the fundamental source of chaos. It couldn't be reproduced or destroyed, only transformed from one thing to another.
Behind every chaos being, another had to be sacrificed.
Fortunately, the number of innate chaos beings was larger than he thought.
Even the Chaos Destroyer he fought before was merely a specific species of chaos being.
With enough Myriad Essence for his family and future generations of the Shadowcrest family, Maximus began to prepare, quickly sharing the news with everyone.
"Let's go! It's time to explore the depths of chaos…"
